Johnny Depp Postpones Upcoming U.S. Shows w/ Vampires ... Due to Fractured Ankle

Published

Johnny Depp's American fans are going to have to wait a little longer to see him live, 'cause the guy's got a bum ankle right now ... and it's temporarily put him out of commission.

Sources close to the actor tell TMZ ... Johnny's upcoming U.S. shows with his band, The Hollywood Vampires, are getting postponed on doctor's orders ... as a result of a nagging lower-body injury.

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

We're told JD recently tweaked his ankle during his Cannes press run, and he stressed it further while trying to power through some recent music gigs ... when he was doing back-to-back Jeff Beck tribute shows. You'll recall ... he was front and center for those in the U.K.

Now, our sources tell us Depp's ankle is fractured and his medical team has instructed him not to fly for the foreseeable future -- which means the first 3 HV gigs are off the table.

REMEMBERING JEFF BECK

Those initial shows were on the East Coast -- Manchester, NH, Boston and Bethel, NY. We're told Johnny and co. are trying to find a way to reschedule them toward the end of their tour -- which will begin to wrap up around late July ... when they'll be in Europe.

Our source tells us Johnny's disappointed over this, explaining ... "Johnny went from two full days of press appearances in Cannes, straight to London for rehearsals and then played two tribute shows in honor of his dear friend, the late great Jeff Beck."

They add, "His ankle was already bothering him at Cannes, and it got progressively worse, but he wanted to honor his commitments for 'Jeanne du Barry' and for Jeff. He’s devastated to postpone the shows, but his doctor believes flying could make the situation much worse. He plans to rest up so the European dates go off without a hitch." Those will start in June.

As we reported ... Johnny's been taking his health much more seriously amid his comeback -- with a lot of rest and clean eating -- and this move is just further evidence of that.

The last time he was in the U.S. was way back in November -- when he did a concert with Jeff Beck here in L.A. Since then, the guy's mostly been across the pond ... this after his W in his defamation case against Amber Heard.

Funny enough, she's been over in Europe too.

Jennifer Hudson's Bag Designer Sonique Defends Her After Thrift Bag Find

Jennifer Hudson's definitely ruffled some feathers with the revelation a luxury bag gifted to her, by a rising Black designer, is now in a thrift store -- but even the designer insists haters should lay off the singer.

Sonique Saturday tells TMZ ... Jennifer is completely good in her book. In fact, she's urging folks to cut her some slack and stop attacking her online.

ICYMI, J Hud came under fire when a video started making the rounds -- it showed a woman who found one of Sonique's bags at a thrift store. It had clearly been gifted to Jennifer because there was a special note to her inside.

FABULOUS FIND

Folks on social media were quick to jump down Jennifer's throat ... calling her out for discarding the Black woman-owned brand.

However, Sonique tells us everyone else is taking the viral video out of context. She explains the bag is from 2014, and Hudson's team actually paid for it. They gifted it to her to celebrate one of her many career accomplishments -- so, it wasn't a freebie that Jennifer callously discarded.

She's not even sure Jennifer ever got the bag and has no idea how it ended up in a thrift shop. Regardless, she says she wants to use this opportunity as leverage with the "Spotlight" singer and to highlight Black-owned businesses.

All in all, Sonique's grateful folks defended her brand -- but it's a little misplaced, once you understand the full story.

Super Bowl Selfie Kid Ryan McKenna Pleads No Contest In CPK Battery Case ... No Booze for a Year

Published

Ryan McKenna, the Super Bowl selfie kid who snapped a viral photo years ago with Justin Timberlake, has pleaded no contest for allegedly going on a drunken rampage at a restaurant earlier this year ... and he's now on probation as he navigates adulthood.

The 19-year-old pled no contest on two charges -- resisting an officer without violence, and battery. The judge ordered the former selfie star to spend the next 12 months on probation.

Ryan's forbidden from consuming or even possessing alcohol -- he's not even allowed to enter places that primarily sell booze.

He's also been ordered to undergo substance abuse evaluation and submit to random breathalyzer and urine checks. He must also cough up $824 in court costs and fines.

We obtained body cam footage from February's incident ... which shows Ryan acting erratically before getting cuffed and taken to jail.

TMZ broke the story, cops got called to a Naples, Florida CPK on the eve of the Super Bowl after they were told Ryan was drunk and had hit his friend.

Another angle shows authorities slamming him to the ground before finally putting him in cuffs. Cops say he put his hands on an officer who was trying to calm him down.

Ryan's mom denied her son was drunk at the time ... instead claiming the kid was just joking around with friends.

Jewel Unique Nat'l Anthem at Indy 500 ... Leaves Fans Divided

Published | Updated

Jewel sang the National Anthem at the Indy 500 this weekend, but there's no consensus for it online ... folks either thought it was the greatest thing ever or straight dog poo.

The singer was tapped as the talent to lead everyone while crooning the "Star Spangled Banner," which she did to kick off the festivities in Indianapolis ... except, she had a very unique take on the classic tune -- and it doesn't sound like everyone enjoyed it.

Check it out for yourself ... Jewel was strumming the guitar and pretty much rearranged the entire song, belting out a slower, more soulful take that had some country twang embedded.

Like we said, it was very ... different. You could argue it was in the same vein as Fergie -- or, on the flip side, maybe Marvin Gaye. Depending on how you interpret it will probably decide which camp you fall in -- as the reactions to Jewel's rendition were very love/hate.

One wrote, "Jewel butchered the national anthem at the Indy 500. People were trying to sing along but couldn't because of the way she sang it. What a shame." Another shared a similar sentiment ... "jewel’s national anthem for indy 500 might be the worst anthem rendition to date." There are tons of other responses like this ... likening it to Roseanne.

Of course, there were just as many who liked it ... with one person praising it mightily, writing ... "Jewel just did the best national anthem I’ve ever heard in my life I’m not exaggerating."

The truth is probably somewhere in the middle. Jewel's iteration definitely didn't follow the traditional structure of the Nat'l Anthem, but that's kinda what you want from these ... right? Anybody can come out and belt put the "SSB" right on cue, but that's been done a ton.

Bottom line ... Jewel took a risk and tried something new, and considering how much chatter it's spurred -- you could argue she succeeded. IndyCar Series wants eyeballs on their product, and it sounds like they achieved that with Jewel.

Start your engines ... and start the outrage!

Billie Eilish To the 'Bozos' Saying I Sold Out ... I'm a Nuanced Lady, Bub!!!

Published | Updated

Billie Eilish has mostly ditched the tomboy style that she got famous with, and is dressing more like a grown-ass, sexy woman ... something her haters can't deal with, it seems.

The pop star addressed this ongoing annoyance head-on this weekend with some telling Instagram posts that dove into what she makes of a select few saying she's a "sellout" for switching up her style and looking more lady-like as she gets older. Her message ... get bent.

Actually, she had a bit more to say about it ... and she got pretty deep in her dissection.

In since-deleted IG Stories -- featuring close-up shots of her mug -- Billie wrote, "i spent the first 5 years of my career getting absolutely obliterated by you fools for being boy ish and dressing how i did & constantly being told i'd be hotter if i acted like a woman."

She goes on, "and now when i feel comfortable enough to wear anything remotely feminine or fitting, i CHANGED and am a sellout ... and 'what happened to her' oMg iT's nOt thE sAmE biLlie she's just like the rest blah blah ..." BE adds, "you guys are true idiots LOL."

Billie hits her point home ... "i can be BOTH you f***ing bozos. LET WOMEN EXIST!" She also threw up extra IG posts for good measure, noting femininity in and of itself doesn't equal weakness ... and that women just *might* want to express themselves differently at different times for a variety of reasons. In other words, she ain't a one-trick fashion pony.

It's unclear what exactly may have sparked Billie's latest thoughts on this -- she's addressed the same thing in the past many times over -- but it could be a recent IG where she's showing off some skin. She's been doing that quite a bit lately ... landing major fashion magazine covers and rocking a variety of outfits she hasn't traditionally been known to wear.

She's gotten a lot of praise for embracing new looks ... which was jarring at first, for some, considering how strongly tied her brand/artist identity was with her oversized, wacky clothes.

Billie's also aged and matured -- both physically and artistically -- right before our eyes over the years ... going from a teen goth pop queen to a nuanced, Grammy-winning musician with a ton of accolades/collaborations. So, even in that sense -- she's changed quite a bit.

Of course, that ain't a bad thing ... despite what her "day 1s" might think. Deal with it. 😎

Taylor Swift's 'Cornelia Street' NYC Townhouse She Rented Now for Sale

Published | Updated

Taylor Swift clearly has the Midas touch ... and a place she lived -- a place that inspired one of her super-popular songs -- is now on the market for a King's ransom.

Back in 2016, Taylor rented a townhouse in NYC's West Village. She apparently loved the 4-bedroom, 5,500-square-foot pad and lived there for more than a year.

In fact, Taylor loved it so much, she wrote a song about it -- "Cornelia Street." The song -- a fan fav -- is featured in her album, "Lover."  One of the lyrics ... "I rent a place on Cornelia Street."

The townhouse -- owned by an Italian investor -- was listed by Corcoran Group realtor Laurence Carty earlier this month. It was listed for rent -- $45,000 a month, and an extra $5k if the renter wanted it furnished.

Well now we've learned ... the Italian dude wants to sell it outright for $17,995,000.

Aside from some amazing features, including a 30-foot indoor swimming pool and a rooftop terrace with downtown views, the fact that Taylor lived there has gotta add some value.

The timing is perfect -- you gotta think it's more than a coincidence the house is up for sale smack in the middle of Taylor's Eras tour, which is the hottest ticket in the world.

Timing is everything ... in comedy and real estate!

Aaron Rodgers I Gotta Dance to Taylor Swift!!! Hits Up New Jersey Concert

Published | Updated

Aaron Rodgers is a HUGE fan of Taylor Swift ... and TMZ has the video to prove it!!!

Check out this footage we obtained, which shows the New York Jets star QB lapping up Taylor's Saturday concert at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. It was the second of three nights the pop star was slated to perform at the venue as part of her sold-out Eras Tour.

In the clip, Rodgers is dancing to Taylor's music with his arms raised and his eyes shut. He's seemingly in a trance and totally captivated by Taylor's song, "Style." Anyone know Rodgers was a Swifty?

Well, he did mention it last week during an interview with host Adam Schein on SiriusXM’s Mad Dog Sports Radio. Rodgers said he was "for sure" going to Taylor's concert because he's a "big fan." He also proclaimed his love for Taylor's "Folklore" album and one of its tracks, “August.”

As you know, Rodgers was traded to the Jets from the Green Bay Packers back in April. Before the announcement, Rodgers was very vocal about wanting to play for the Jets and move to the New York metropolitan area.

Now that he's there ... he's certainly making the most of it. But he wasn't the only famous face at Taylor's show ... actor Miles Teller also made an appearance.

Tom Sandoval Booking Concerts Like Crazy ... Recovering Through Music

Published | Updated

The "Scandoval" drama isn't a total loss for Tom Sandoval -- while his affair with Raquel Leviss is definitely costing him friendships, it's not hurting his finances where his band is concerned.

We're told concerts for "Tom Sandoval & The Most Extras" have been a big hit amid all the drama. For example, their show at the Wolf Den at Mohegan Sun Casino & Resort in Connecticut earlier this month had a massive turnout, marking the first time the venue's had people lining up to get into a 350-seat theater.

Tom's crew sold out the Gramercy Theater in NYC the following night, with the line wrapping around the block -- even 'SNL' star Chloe Fineman got to meet Tom backstage after the show. We doubt she waited in line.

Tom's band also sold out shows in Pennsylvania and Texas. Their Houston venue, in particular, expected 1,000 fans to show up, but was instead bombarded with twice that number ... making it one of the club's most successful shows ever.

The band even rocked a fundraiser on May 11 at DC's Howard Theater, where they donated $10k to Drew Strikes Back ... an org that raises money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

BREAK FROM THE BOOZE

We've also learned Tom hit a big milestone during this recent stretch of shows ... celebrating 50 days sober.

Tom tells TMZ ... his recent fallout with Ariana Madix has been a difficult and emotional thing for him to navigate, adding he's been in "some really dark places at times and music has really helped me get through it."

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

He says he's grateful for the big turnouts and is excited to keep the second leg of his summer tour going for him and the group.

Of course, Ariana's been doin' pretty well on the other side, too -- not only does she have a new boo, but she's been striking brand deals with SoFi, Raising Cane's, and even a sex toy company!

Bottom line? Despite the personal drama, everyone's bottom line is doing just fine.

Jimmie Allen Too Much Bad News ... Selling His Nashville Home

Published | Updated

Jimmie Allen is officially pulling up stakes in Nashville ... putting his house up for sale on the heels of his divorce, and the bombshell rape allegation against him.

According to property records the country star is selling his home in Brentwood -- a Nashville suburb -- for $2.5 million. He originally listed it last month for just under $3M, before slashing the price this week.

According to a real estate source Jimmy had planned to put the home on the market 3-4 months ago.

Of course, Jimmie's been in pretty hot water lately. As we reported, his estranged wife Alexis Gale, who's pregnant with their third child, pulled the plug on their marriage -- and then his former business manager sued him for allegedly raping her.

Jimmie told us there's "no truth" to the allegation, and accused her of trying to squeeze him for money after their 2-year consensual relationship ended. He's publicly apologized to his estranged wife for the affair, and for being a poor example for their children.

On the heels of all that, he's lost biz deals, too, such as his collab with The Frozen Farmer ice cream company.

Now, he's hoping for some good news on the real estate front as he unloads the 5-bed, 5-bath home ... which sits on 1.5 acres with lots of great features.

Jimmie and Alexis got married during a secret wedding in 2020, and he bought the home in  December of that same year for $1.5M.

Nick Woodard of Benchmark Realty holds the listing ... and no, the singer won't be leaving any of his baggage inside.

PHIL SPECTOR DAUGHTER SUES JULIEN'S OVER UPCOMING AUCTION ... Hey, That's My Stuff!!!

Published

Phil Spector's daughter wants a judge to bang the gavel ... to prevent tons of his music memorabilia from being sold to the highest bidder ... and now she's suing one of the biggest auction houses over it.

The late music producer's only daughter, Nicole Spector, is suing Julien's Auctions ... claiming the items actually belong to her, so they have no right to sell them.

According to the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Nicole says she only recently found out about Julien's "Music Icons" auction, which features 82 items the auction house has been promoting as coming straight from Phil's estate.

Among the items ... a letter from President Nixon, a baseball signed by Mickey Mantle, tickets from a 1966 Beatles concert, a book signed by Yoko Ono and tons of gold records and album cover plaques.

Nicole claims Julien's told her they got the stuff from a woman named Sheryl Coughlan, who told them she got the property from Phil's daughter. Problem is, Nicole says she never gave any of Phil's property to Coughlan or anyone else.

In her suit, Nicole thinks her late father's ex-wife Rachelle may be to blame ... claiming she believes Rachelle misrepresented herself to Coughlan as Nicole when transferring the items.

Nicole claims when Phil divorced Rachelle, the judgment called for Phil to get all of his personal property back aside from a few specific items ... but she claims Rachelle didn't play ball and refused to turn over a bunch of Phil's memorabilia to Nicole a few years later when Phil died.

As the executor of Phil's estate, Nicole says the items up for auction are rightly hers ... and she wants the court to step in and force Julien's to hand over all of Phil's stuff.

Selena Gomez Chews Out Security at Beyoncé Concert ... Another Fan Fail???

Published | Updated

Selena Gomez was caught on camera yelling at a security guard while heading into a Beyoncé concert this week -- and it certainly has strong echoes of Taylor Swift.

The pop star/actress was one of several stars who hit up Bey's show in Paris Friday -- just one of many stops on her Renaissance tour -- and while she was crossing the main stage area ... you can see she had a heated confrontation with one of the dudes trailing her.

He's with security, no doubt, and it seems he might've done something to piss Selena off -- 'cause she was definitely chewing him out. You can see he comes over closer to talk to her and then points in another direction. As for what this was about ... there are some theories.

Some on social media are claiming the bodyguard -- who was seen following Selena at other points in the show, leading sleuths to believe he might actually work for her personally -- aggressively shut down a fan who was trying to reach/talk to Selena as she was passing by.

There's no evidence of that from what we can see, but it's plausible -- she was getting pretty close to the front row crowd as she was heading to her VIP area ... and was even high-fiving several along the way. Maybe somebody got a little too handsy past the barricade.

There's one video circulating that purports to show a group of people attempting to mob her on the stadium floor ... but, to be honest, it's hard to make out what's what in the clip.

Of course, right on cue, there are some haters who are criticizing SG over this -- suggesting she overreacted to a tactic used in her best interest -- and others who are praising her. But, again, nobody seems to actually know what this was all about -- it's pure speculation.

Now, if there's any truth to the security/fan story ... you'd naturally compare it to what Taylor recently did at one of her shows -- where she stuck up for a concertgoer who had a run-in with security down on the floor. That incident was much easier to parse, though.

Regardless of what went down, one thing is clear ... the biggest stars sure aren't afraid to speak up if they feel like something's off -- that much we've seen in spades lately.

Taylor Swift Singin' About Split With Joe Alwyn ... Did He Reject Marriage???

Published | Updated

Taylor Swift has not spoken publicly about her breakup with actor Joe Alwyn in April ... but she's now singing about it, or so it seems.

The pop star digitally released "You're Losing Me" on her website Friday and her fans went wild, diving into her lyrics, looking for clues about the couple's split.

In the song, Taylor ponders pulling the plug on her 6-year relationship with Joe, asking ... "Do I throw out everything we built or keep it?"

Taylor then goes further, belting out ... "My heart won't start anymore for you 'cause you're losing me."

She also alludes to the end of their romance, declaring ... "You don't know what you got until it's gone" ... a famous line from Joni Mitchell, although that was about a parking lot!

Taylor's fans really honed in on lyrics suggesting Joe rejected the idea of marrying Taylor. She sings, "I'm the best thing at this party/And I wouldn't marry me either/A pathological people pleaser/Who only wanted you to see her."

Whatever the case ... Taylor started dating musician Matt Healy soon after she parted ways with Joe. Like Taylor, Joe has yet to officially comment on their split.

Since April, Taylor and Matt have been inseparable and, from the looks of things, very much in love.

Roger Waters Blasts Critics Over Nazi Costume ... 'I'm No Fascist!!!'

Published | Updated

Roger Waters is clapping back at criticism over the Nazi-themed getup he wore during two recent Berlin concerts ... insisting he's not a fascist.

The rock star took to Twitter Friday, posting a lengthy statement detailing his defense of his Gestapo-like appearance during his May 17 and May 18 performances.

Berlin Police have opened a criminal investigation to see if Waters' outfit -- a black trench coat with a red armband -- incited the crowd by glorifying Nazis and, therefore, disturbed the peace. Waters was flanked by men dressed as Nazi stormtroopers firing toy machine guns.

Waters now says his critics have launched "bad faith attacks" designed to "smear and silence" him because they don't agree with his political and moral views.

He says his performances were trying to convey the opposite message in the fight against "fascism, injustice, and bigotry in all its forms." He claims Nazi-infused imagery has been woven into his music since the release of the 1979 record, Pink Floyd's “The Wall."

Waters went on to say he has spent his life condemning authoritarianism and oppression and reminded everyone his parents battled the Nazis in World War II. He noted his father died making the ultimate sacrifice.

In Germany, it's against the law to publicly display Nazi symbolism and to downplay the Holocaust or commit acts of antisemitism. But the Berlin authorities will have to consider artistic freedom in determining whether Waters committed a crime.

TAYLOR SPICES IT UP

Taylor Swift is going full throttle supporting Ice Spice ... bringing her onstage Friday in the middle of her Eras Tour in New Jersey.

TS and IS performed the "Karma" remix at MetLife Stadium which was, of course, packed to the gills.

Taylor clued the crowd in on how the collab went down ... "She [Ice Spice] reached out and said, ‘If you’d ever like to do a collab, I would love to.' And what she didn’t know at the time is that when I was training for the tour, I was listening to pretty much exclusively just her music every single day. All day … So I said, ‘Absolutely, when can we do it?’"

She went on, gushing about Ice Spice ... "So we immediately went into the studio and I just not only fell in love with her, but just decided she’s the entire future. … I’ve been around so many artists and so many artists just starting out, but I’ve never been around an artist who’s so prepared and curious and focused on what she wants.”

There was no reference to Taylor's BF, Matty Healy, and the racist comments he made back in February. Healy has apologized, but lots of her fans still aren't buying it.

Tina Turner Hometown Looking To Build Tina Statue

Published | Updated

The city Tina Turner once called home is planning to honor the music legend in a big way ... with a beautiful statue of her.

Bill Rawls Jr., mayor of Brownsville, TN, tells TMZ ... he wants to prominently display the work of art, and he's getting a ton of support from local leaders.

Mayor Rawls wants the piece placed in Brownsville's Heritage Park ... near Carver High School, which Tina attended. Tina was born in Brownsville and lived there during much her youth.

Brownsville's already home to the Tina Turner Museum, so it seems fitting to have the piece smack dab in the middle of her hometown.

He adds, "When Tina stepped on stage, she owned it. We want this statue to represent that passion. Tina was an inspiration to the entire world ... She showed the people of Brownsville no matter where you start, you own your story about where you end up."

Tina died Wednesday and the entire world is mourning the loss. Not only did her music spike big in streams, but artists like Lizzo, Janet Jackson, and Coldplay paid tribute to her at their concerts after her death.
