Sam Asghari appreciates the congrats for his "engagement" to Britney Spears, but notes it's a tad late, 'cause they've been man and wife for a minute now ... insert tongue in cheek here, please.

Britney's BF was getting showered Wednesday with well-wishes from a pap outside a Jeep dealership in Westlake, CA. The photog was under the impression the couple would be walking down the aisle soon -- all 'cause of some pics that surfaced over the weekend.

ICYMI ... Britney was photographed flashing a big rock on THAT finger Sunday while picking up some java at a Starbucks -- which so very OBVIOUSLY means Sam popped the question, especially in light of Brit making it clear recently that this is exactly what she wants.

Well, that's certainly what this photog thought when he caught Sam on the way out -- but rather than correct him ... SA played it gracefully, busting out his acting chops and going along with the gag pretty convincingly. He even dropped (alternative) facts that the pap -- and the rest of us, for that matter -- are learning for the first time. #BREAKINGNEWS!!!

You gotta watch the clip to see what we mean -- long story short, Sam says the pap is about 5 years tardy on giving him props.

Gwen Stefani had some trusty witnesses sign off on her marriage to Blake Shelton ... her own kids were the ones to make the ceremony official and sign off on the couple's certificate.

Gwen and Blake's marriage certificate, obtained by TMZ, shows some of what we already knew, the nuptials went down Saturday, July 3, at a little place called "Gwen's Chapel" on Blake's ranch in in Mill Creek, OK ... which is the special sanctuary he built for the big day, and where they said "I do."

The witnesses who signed the doc ... Gwen's two oldest, 15-year-old Kingston Rossdale and 12-year-old Zuma. Her youngest, 7-year-old Apollo, also took part in the ceremony ... but doesn't show up on the paperwork.

There's also this ... fellow 'Voice' star Carson Daly's name is on the cert, because he officiated the whole thing. The document says he's an ordained minister for Universal Life Church in Johnston County, OK

TMZ got the first photos of Gwen in her dress that day -- with a furry photobomb to boot -- as well as video of what appeared to be the couple's first dance as man and wife. Gwen confirmed they'd gotten hitched a couple days after the fact ... with a sweet photo dump.

T.J. Watt CLEARLY knows diamonds are forever ... 'cause the NFL superstar went all out for his fiancée's massive engagement ring -- scoring a piece of ice worth $100,000!!!

The Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker popped the question to his longtime GF Dani Rhodes at a beautiful waterfront spot last week ... and the ring he used for the occasion is AWESOME!!!

TMZ Sports has learned ... the 26-year-old hit-up celebrity jeweler Moe Diamonds for the bling, and he spared no expenses.

We're told the ring features a 2.5-carat flawless colorless triple EX graded diamond -- which is very rare -- and has 18k of white gold with 1.33 carats of VVS-flawless diamonds in the band.

All total, we're told the ring is valued at $100K!!!

And, what's even more interesting about the ring ... we're told Watt hit up Moe way back in June 2020 for the piece -- so he's been planning this for over a year!!!

"It still feels like I’m dreaming," Rhodes said on Instagram the day after saying "yes."

"Woke up today feeling so incredibly happy and blessed that I get to marry my best friend🤍 I can’t wait to love you FOREVER."

Watts and Rhodes have been dating since 2016 -- when they met at the University of Wisconsin.

They're both professional athletes ... Watt is entering his 5th season with the Steelers and Rhodes just signed with the Throttur Football Club, a soccer team in Iceland.

In fact, Rhodes is former teammates with J.J. Watt's wife, Kealia -- the two actually played together on the Chicago Red Stars women's soccer team.

Congrats are in order for MLB ace Shane Bieber -- the Cy Young winner got on one knee and popped the question to his longtime GF over the weekend ... and she said "YES!!!"

The 26-year-old Cleveland superstar and Kara Maxine Kavajecz made their engagement public on Monday ... sharing pics of the couple's big moment in San Francisco.

The setup looked truly special ... with Bieber setting up a romantic area overlooking the city and decked out with pillows, candles, wine and more.

"Forever my girl," Bieber captioned his post with shots from iQphoto, which showed him on one knee and embracing his new fiancee.

"I always knew," Kara added.

Bieber and Kavajecz first met years ago at the University of California, Santa Barbara ... and have been inseparable ever since.

As for Mahomes' future groomsmen ... his little bro, Jackson, revealed the Chiefs QB gave out personalized flasks, a shot of Fireball, and a silver Rollie.

Mahomes' gift basket also included a little freestyle on the card ... with the QB writing, "The time has come to help me with the task … be my groomsman for the wedding weekend with help from this flask!"

Of course, both Jackson and Sydni responded with resounding yes's ... because, uh, how could you turn that down?!?!

As for the wedding itself, Patrick dropped some hints on how and when it'll go down on his card ... finishing his rhyme with, "Drink up and let me remind, in March set your Rolex to island time!"

The Trubiskys -- who got hitched last weekend after dating for 2 years -- have been celebrating their marriage in Mexico over the past 5 days ... from fancy dinners to lounging around and catching rays.

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are hitched -- tying the knot in a private ceremony this weekend in Oklahoma ... and TMZ's got one of the first shots of the bride in her dress, as well as what appears to be their first dance!

The longtime 'Voice' couple said "I do" Saturday during an intimate gathering at Blake's OK ranch, where he's said to have built a chapel just for this occasion. Unclear just how many people were in attendance ... but it appears to have been a pretty small guest list.

As for Gwen ... well, she was glowing in her white gown, a photo of which we've obtained from the day of. As you can see, she was quite ecstatic ... throwing up her arms as if she'd just won a race. Considering how long they've been dating -- that may well be true.

Gwen and Blake first got together back in 2015, after having met on the singing competition show ... where they both serve as judges. It might have been love at first sight ... because they were pretty much tied to the hip after that, finally getting engaged just last year.

Blake popped the question in October ... and they just showed their cards on when they planned to walk down the aisle. TMZ broke the story -- the Sheltons obtained a marriage license last week ... which indicated they'd be getting married any day now.

Looks like they did it the day before 4th of July ... as Blake had singing duties to attend to on the holiday itself. A delayed honeymoon, no doubt -- but we're sure they'll be off somewhere soon enough. They sure looked madly in love during a dance between the mister and missus on Saturday, so something tells us they're gonna wanna get back to that feeling ASAP.

Anyhoo ... congrats!!!

Britney Spears claims she wants to get married and is being blocked by her conservatorship, but it seems her boyfriend is a stumbling block ... we're told he's never popped the question.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Britney's boyfriend of over 4 years, Sam Asghari, hasn't made a move or attempted to get engaged. They've talked about it, we're told, but never formalized it with a proposal.

As we told you ... Britney and Sam hopped on a private plane to Maui last week after she railed on her dad, Jamie Spears, and her management team during an explosive court hearing ... a romantic getaway fans speculated might end with an engagement.

But, our sources say Sam didn't propose in Maui and he and Britney are already back in Los Angeles.

TMZ broke the story ... both her father and her personal conservator say there are no restrictions on Britney with regards to marriage or having kids, despite her claims to the contrary. The fact is, conservators have no legal authority to block conservatees from marrying or having a baby.

It's turning into a he-said, she-said situation, but there's still one thing Sam's never said ... "Will you marry me?"

Brooklyn Beckham and his fiancee, Nicola Peltz, are well on their way to a happy, married life -- and they made sure to take care of one of the most important things for that ... a beautiful home in the heart of L.A.

David Beckham's eldest son -- who's just 22 years old, BTW -- and Nicola just snapped up a gorgeous estate in Beverly Hills ... for a whopping $10.5 million, no less. We're told that's a mil over what the asking price was for this place, so you can tell they really wanted it.

Makes sense to us -- the 5-bedroom, 5.5 bath two-story mansion is a modern-day beaut in every respect ... just check out these photos, and you'll see what we're talking about.

Aside from the vast number of windows surrounding the home -- which we're sure is great for natural lighting -- the crib comes with luxury perks such as a private yoga room/gym, a dry sauna, a steam room, a juice bar, and yes ... there's a sweet pool on site too.

Don't even get us started on the views ... the house is tucked away in a canyon area, and it's overlooking a good portion of L.A. It's an awesome purchase -- one we're sure will serve them (and possibly their future family) well in the years to come. Major congrats!!!

Kim Kardashian admits she owes her ex-husband, Kris Humphries, an apology for the way she handled their 72-day marriage ... 'cause she "fully broke up with him in the worst way."

Kim made the revelation during Thursday's episode of "Watch What Happens Live" with Andy Cohen, which was really a 'KUWTK' finale reunion. When the convo turned to her short-lived 2011 wedding, she quickly copped to screwing up her exit.

As she put it, she handled it "totally the wrong way," because she didn't know how to deal with it and was nervous to break up with someone.

As you know by now ... they'd only been husband and wife for 2 months when Kim filed for divorce, which was finalized in 2013. But, even years later, Kim says Kris was still fuming from how it all went down.

Watch her describe a 2015 incident at the Beverly Hills Hotel when she ended up sitting at the table right next to him -- like we always say, it's a really small town!

Anyway, despite some pleasantries with his friends ... Kim says Kris "literally looked at me and wouldn't speak to me."

Kim also revealed she felt pressured to marry Kris because it was being filmed for 'KUWTK.' She ignored Kris Jenner's advice to back out, because she didn't want to be known as a runaway bride -- but when she felt "claustrophobic" during their honeymoon in Italy, she knew she'd "made the wrong decision."

Kim's little sis, Kylie Jenner, had a confession of her own ... about why she first made the decision to get lip fillers. Of course, it was a boy's fault -- but added that same teenage insecurity launched her career in the beauty biz.

Taryn Manning is getting set to walk down the aisle for the first time in her life, because she's engaged ... and we got the moment she was proposed to on camera!

TMZ has obtained video of when the "Orange Is the New Black" actress got popped the question Friday night at a bar and grill in Panama City, FL -- where her singer-songwriter girlfriend, Anne Cline, turned a performance she was putting on into a full-blown proposal.

Check it out for yourself ... you can tell Taryn is completely surprised after Anne takes a pause during her intimate set, hops down from the stage and gets on bended knee.

Of course, Taryn is ecstatic as she faces the ring box ... and she eventually said yes after all the excitement. The crowd around them was loving it too BTW -- even the DJ/MC got on the mic and told everyone to give it up for them, which the audience was happy to do.

We don't know too much about Anne other than the fact that she's a musician who leads the band Cline Street. She seems to do pretty well for herself -- as she tours quite a bit, and seems to be on the come-up.

Another interesting factoid ... she's 11 years younger than Taryn, who's 42. Unclear how long they've been together at this point -- but photos of them walking dogs together surfaced earlier this year.

Taryn's rep tells us the two are thrilled, with TM adding ... "It was the easiest YES I ever said!"

Somebody took to the skies of Los Angeles to ask for a woman's hand in marriage -- but apparently, they shelled out a little extra to make fun of ... Joe Rogan.

A skywriting message marriage proposal was seen up above West Hollywood and the surrounding areas Saturday, which asked somebody named Mollie Pratt to marry them ... reportedly followed up with "SHE SAID YES" ... and then one last random train of thought.

After the Mollie stuff flew by -- which purportedly had trailing messages like "I LOVE YOU MORE THAN ANYTHING" and "UNTIL DEATH DO US PART" ... the writing followed with something to the effect of, "ONE MORE THING ... JOE ROGAN IS LITEALLY (sic) 5 FOOT 3."

Indeed, several different photos and videos capture that last part ... and it has left a lot of people equally confused and amused. For one -- why bring up JR in a proposal at all???

Of course, his listed height here is wrong ... the guy's pegged at 5'7" -- so it's clear whoever commissioned this did it to slight Joe and to chide, in the most extra way possible. The party responsible is still a mystery -- but they definitely shelled out big time for the stunt.

Skywriting messages cost thousands of dollars per message -- and it sounds like this person had a whole bunch of them as part of their engagement announcement, on top of the Rogan shot. We're guessing this whole thing might've cost upwards of $10k, or around there.

Liam Payne is back on the market after calling off his engagement, and he's got no one to blame but himself ... in his own words.

The former One Direction singer made the revelation on Steven Bartlett's "The Diary of a CEO" podcast ... saying he's ended his 10-month engagement to model, Maya Henry.

Liam dropped the ol' "it's me, not you" in explaining what went wrong. He says he's just not that good at relationships and added ... "I feel like more than anything at this point, I'm more disappointed in myself that I keep on hurting people."

The singer also revealed he's 1-month sober from booze and said he's going to work on himself before putting himself on to somebody else. BTW, we haven't heard Maya's side of the breakup yet ... she hasn't publicly addressed it.

Liam and the 21-year-old Texas beauty announced their engagement back in August 2020 after 2 years of dating, and he popped the question with a ring reportedly worth more than $4 million.

Weddings in India are hardcore, 'cause even a bride's death didn't kill the wedding day vibes -- the groom just married the woman who was going to be his sister-in-law ... on the spot!

The strange tale played out when a bride, identified only as Surbhi, reportedly collapsed and died of a heart attack just as the ceremony kicked off last week, and she exchanged traditional garlands with her hubby-to-be, Mangesh Kumar.

Sadly, Surbhi was declared dead at the scene. Now, this would normally put a halt to most, if not all, wedding ceremonies. But in this case, the bride and groom's families reportedly huddled up and came up with a solution -- Surbhi's family offered up her sister, Nisha.

When the wedding resumed ... the dead bride's body was taken to another room. 😑

Nisha and Surbhi's bro told the Times of India, "It was a bizarre situation as the wedding of my younger sister took place while the dead body of my other sister was laying in another room."

So, why'd the wedding continue? The bride's mother reportedly pled for the shindig to go on as planned. The groom's family reportedly would have been expecting a dowry.

Miles Teller brought a bunch of mementos from his vacation in Hawaii back to the mainland with him ... including a black eye.

The "Top Gun: Maverick" star was spotted Wednesday in Los Angeles walking around with a hat from a famous resort on Maui and a shiner ... from the punch to the face he took in a Maui restaurant.

Miles wasn't practicing aloha when a photog asked about the nasty incident he was involved in on Maui -- he was mum other than to say he's feeling alright ... despite the black eye.

TMZ broke the story ... Miles was dining at Monkeypod Kitchen on Maui when he was allegedly attacked in the restroom by a man who is married to a wedding planner with a history with Teller and his wife, Keleigh.

Russell and Lorrie Nielson claim Miles and Keleigh didn't pay the bill for their 2019 Maui wedding Lorrie claims she planned.

PETA wants Ariana Grande to take a ride ... on them -- hence the sweet vegan tandem bicycle (yeah, that's a thing) she just got as a wedding gift and token of appreciation.

The animal rights org is sending Ariana and her new hubby, Dalton Gomez, a cool tandem bike, which features a faux leather seat ... and is built from parts and paint that didn't use any animal products, of course.

We're told PETA has long been a fan of Grande's advocacy for animal rights, and more recently was impressed by her launching of Orange Twins Rescue ... a shelter in L.A. focused on saving and rehabilitating animals and finding them loving homes.

So, Grande's wedding last month presented PETA the perfect opportunity to show its love and respect, and a Northwoods Dual Drive Tandem Bike is en route. For those curious -- it retails around $700.
