Bill asked Jay how the rich folks are faring in Bev Hills, and Jay was quick to answer. We'd tell you what was said, but the video is way funnier.
And, Jay has an update on Olivia Jade, who could soon be donning a white smock ... for humanity, of course. It's really funny.
Speaking of Bill Maher, he's doing his show from home, but it's produced way better than most other shows. The locations are cool, and he intercuts shots of old TV audiences applauding his jokes. It's hysterical.
Real estate agents in Los Angeles have been forced to get creative when it comes to showing some of the city's most spectacular cribs ... turning to technology to give multi-home tours in less than an hour.
Four agents from The Agency Beverly Hills fired up the Bond Street Partners Instagram Live Friday to tour 4 properties around the city. Each agent was armed with a mask, gloves and even shoe protection while they took viewers through each pad with a mobile tour before passing it on to the next.
David Parnes, James Harris, Alana Mesica and Fred Dapp took viewers through a myriad of options ... from a $48,000,000 home located on the Bird Streets, to a $100,000 per month rental with over 7,000 square feet of living space. In all, those watching saw about $75,000,000 of real estate in an hour.
Dapp tells us the team really had to think outside the box in the last few weeks in order to move properties. He says the digital showings have been a big help.
As for whether or not the pricey pads are actually selling during COVID-19 ... we're told the group has closed on 5 sales at $22.6M with 4 new escrows at $33.8M.
Donald Trump was all over the place the last week or so ... saying he has ultimate power over governors, then saying he doesn't ... saying injecting bleach might be a good thing, then calling it a jk. So we gotta ask ...
Ex-NBA star Kermit Washington is begging officials to let him out of prison ASAP, claiming he's at a high risk of catching and dying from COVID-19.
68-year-old Washington -- a former NBA All-Star -- is serving 6 years in prison for running a bogus charity scheme and stealing around $1 MILLION that was supposed to help starving and HIV positive children in Africa.
But, Washington fears his incarceration could turn into a death sentence because of the coronavirus pandemic.
In new court docs obtained by TMZ Sports, Washington says he's at a "high risk of death or serious illness from COVID-19" -- noting the "extreme rate of infection" and the number of deaths of inmates in the nationwide prison system.
Washington says he was scheduled to be transferred to a medium-security prison in mid-April -- but was afraid the mass transfer of inmates would increase his risk of contracting the disease.
Public records show Washington was moved to the new prison, despite his objections.
There's more ... Washington also wants to be moved out of prison altogether and transferred to house arrest, so he can complete his sentence safely at home.
"Only the court can correct this injustice and protect me and my life."
Washington was the 5th overall pick in the 1978 NBA Draft. Most people know him as the guy who almost killed Rudy Tomjanovich during a fight in 1977.
Despite the brutal injuries Rudy suffered at the time, he previously told TMZ Sports he "feels sorry" for Kermit and hopes for the best for him.
Chad Johnson should've leaked a sex tape before getting into adult videos ... so says a world-famous porn star who is ready and willing to get a tryst going on camera!!!
Richelle Ryan-- star of over 200 XXX movies, including classics like "Dynamic Booty 5" and "Mom Knows Best" -- says the 'Bachelorette' bad boy is skipping some important steps in his quest for adult video superstardom ... but she has an idea on how to ensure Chad's porn career has a happy ending.
As you know ... Chad told us he's moving to Sin City to buy a house and build his own porn studio, and he's partnering up with the ex-GF he claimed tried ruining his life, Annalise Mishler.
Richelle has been in porn for decades, and she says Chad is already 10 years behind the rest of the bros in Sin City ... but she isn't ready to write him off.
Even though Chad never leaked a sex tape, Richelle thinks he can generate buzz with his 'Bachelorette' background ... and she tells us why she wants to shoot some porn with Mr. Johnson!!!
An incredible amount of rare Kobe Bryant memorabilia is heading to auction ... and the items will help the late Lakers legend's foundation.
TMZ Sports has learned ... Goldin Auctions has made more than 50 dope pieces from Kobe's 20-year NBA career available in its Spring 2020 catalog ... from signature shoe prototypes to game-worn jerseys, to his 2000 NBA championship ring.
On top of that, there's a score sheet from Kobe's 81-point game signed by the Black Mamba himself, a jersey with Kobe and Vanessa hand-painted, and Bryant's autograph on White House stationery.
The best part?? 5% of the winning bids will go towards Kobe's Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation ... which helps young athletes learn life skills through sports.
We know, 5% doesn't sound like a lot -- but the value of Kobe memorabilia has skyrocketed over the past few months, so there could be A LOT of money raised here.
As we previously reported, the sports memorabilia community has flooded with fakes since Kobe's passing ... but Goldin Auctions assures us all of the items in their auction are certified legit.
The weather in Los Angeles has finally warmed up and a bunch of stars are catching on and steppin' out of the house and into the backyards to get their tans on. And, since we've got all this time to waste, why not?!
There's nothing better than having some fun in the sun ... and right now, that seems like the only kind of fun these famous faces are having.
Take a look through our gallery of quarantanning stars to see all the steamy snaps! And, while you're at it, see if you can guess the celeb in the hot shot!
Huntington Beach is being swarmed by people looking to escape a heat wave and shelter-in-place orders ... social distancing be damned!!!
Check out the scene Friday afternoon at the famous Orange County coastal hangout ... there are people everywhere, packing the sand plus surrounding walkways and bike paths.
The sun worshippers don't seem too concerned with the number of coronavirus cases and deaths on the rise ... folks are packing in like sardines, and lots of people are not covering their faces.
Huntington Beach is one of the few games in town, as far as beaches and outdoor activities go in SoCal.
North of the OC ... cops are patrolling the Los Angeles County beaches and immediately booting any scofflaws off the sand and surf.
Ditto for the beaches in San Diego County and Laguna Beach.
The scene here in Cali is eerily similar to what we saw over the weekend in Florida ... where people packed the beaches in Jacksonville after officials lifted restrictions and reopened the sand.
It's gonna be a scorching hot weekend in SoCal ... which makes it unlikely stir-crazy people will steer clear of Huntington Beach.
Jerry Bishop -- famous for being the announcer on "Judge Judy" -- is dead.
Jerry died Tuesday of heart disease, according to the show, and Judge Judy says she's gonna miss him.
Judy remembered her longtime announcer in a statement, saying ... "Jerry Bishop has been the voice of our program for 24 years. Everybody loved him. He had a golden heart and generous spirit. I adored him and will miss him."
Jerry served as the announcer for "Judge Judy" since its first season way back in 1994, and his career spanned thousands of episodes.
Bishop was also a veteran of Los Angeles radio and his voice was beloved and recognized on the morning drive for three decades from the 1960s through the 70s. Jerry interviewed tons of celebs on radio, including Frank Sinatra, Steve McQueen and Natalie Wood.
Jerry also lent his famous voice to commercials and did some voiceover work, including 15 years as the voice of Disney Channel.
Comedian Grandma Lee -- who cracked the top ten on Season 4 of "America's Got Talent" -- has died ... according to her family.
Lee's son, Kelly, tells TMZ ... she died Friday afternoon at her assisted living facility in Jacksonville, FL, but it was not related to the coronavirus.
Kelly says his stand-up comic mom was doing shows up until November, but after a gig in Tampa, she fell in her hotel room and broke her hip. Sadly, he says she never fully recovered.
According to Grandma's family ... she passed with her 2 sons holding her hands after spending the past few days reading texts from friends and Facebook posts. They say there will be a service celebrating her life once COVID-19 conditiionsallow for it.
Her family adds ... "Heaven just got a whole lot funnier."
Grandma Lee gained popularity in 2009 when she competed on 'AGT' and made it to the finale before being eliminated.
She said at the time that her material is based on truth, adding ... "I go up there and wing it ... but I had to clean it up for the show."
It's Gov. Brian Kemp's dream come true -- Georgians filing into business establishments all over the state ... despite scientists, and other politicians, warning it could set off a COVID-19 spike.
These photos -- from Atlanta, Savannah and other cities -- are interesting because they show the stark reality ... that social distancing is near impossible in hair and nail salons, tattoo parlors and, to a lesser extent, gyms.
Still, people starved for a fitness fix streamed into BodyPlex Fitness Adventure Friday in Grayson, GA. Folks there tell us it was hardly packed -- just under 100 people so far, when they normally have about 500 daily customers.
A staffer told TMZ, "Everybody is so excited we’re open they’ll do whatever they need to do to get their workout in. They are just happy we’re here."
That also seems to be the case at Three-13 Salon in Marietta where about 100 people came in for all sorts of beauty treatments. They checked everyone's temperature and everyone was required to wear face coverings.
That doesn't seem to be mandatory at all businesses, because customers at a barbershop were NOT wearing face masks, although the barbers did.
Remember, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms told us she's opposed to the reopening of businesses -- because scientific data shows it's too soon -- and she's urging people in her city, at least, to stay home.
2:40 PM PT -- That didn't take long. Less than 24 hours after 2 Chainz's business partner and co-owner Snoop Dillard told us they were going to reopen their ATL joints, they're now saying it's a no-go. Dillard tells TMZ, "After careful consideration, we are not going to open our restaurants on Monday. It has not officially been decided when we will start having dine-in service."
UPDATE
Smart move.
Escobar season has returned for 2 Chainz... the rapper is reopening his Atlanta restaurants for sit-down service, and he says he has a plan for keeping folks safe from COVID-19.
Both of 2 Chainz's joints, Escobar Restaurant and Tapas, are serving dine-in meals starting Monday -- his business partner and co-owner, Snoop Dillard, tells TMZ -- and they're making public safety a top priority.
Escobar restaurants were strictly doing take-out orders due to coronavirus restrictions, but with Georgia's Governor paving the way for businesses to reopen -- in many cases recklessly -- 2 Chainz is getting people back to work.
We're told sales at both locations have been down 95% during the shutdown, and the restaurants were forced to furlough around 80% of its staff.
With dine-in service coming back, Snoop says they're planning to bring back 65% of restaurant staff -- 80 people -- and the hope is to have everyone back at work eventually.
As you know ... a debate is raging over Georgia's plan to reopen its economy. Governor Brian Kemp is giving the green light, but Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms is urging people to be responsible and cautious and stay home.
2 Chainz's restaurants are trying to have the best of both worlds, and they think they will be able to host sit-down service safely.
We're told safety precautions at the restaurants include staff having their temperatures checked when they clock in, mandatory gloves for all employees, masks for the cooks and single-use paper menus.
Any staff member showing coronavirus symptoms will be asked to go home and quarantine for 14 days.
We're also told the restaurants are bringing back hookahs, which will be cleaned and sanitized frequently. Most folks bring their own hoses anyways.
And, on the weekends, we're told live DJs will return to both locations ... 2 Chainz and Snoop say the DJs need to make a living as well, but things aren't going into full party mode yet. They even paid a few DJs to come in and spin when it was take-out only -- just to brighten people's days.
2 Chainz and Snoop donated hundreds of meals to medical workers on the frontlines ... and we're told they're planning to give more free meals to workers at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.
Dana White says UFC 249 won't only be the "best card we've ever had" but also the safest -- claiming he's spending a ton of money to ensure everyone is properly screened and medically cleared.
The event is going down on May 9th At the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida ... headlined by Tony Ferguson vs. Justin Gaethje.
Remember, UFC postponed the April 18th event at the request of ESPN and Disney due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but White says they're good to go this time around and he's sparing no expense on safety measures, including thorough screening for fighters and their teams.
"We're gonna have an overabundance of safety," White says.
"We're gonna spend what it costs. We have really smart people who've been working on this ... and we're gonna spend whatever it costs to make sure the fighters, their camps, the commission, the referees, our production people and everybody is safe that's gonna go to this event."
"We're going to do everything and then we're gonna go even another level above that."
White has a busy month ahead of him -- after UFC 249, Dana is putting on TWO more events within the week!!!
Don't wear an N95 mask and drive alone ... that's the message New Jersey police are sending after a driver passed out while wearing COVID-19 protection and crashed.
Here's the deal ... a Jersey motorist crashed head-on into a pole Thursday, and cops say the driver passed out behind the wheel while wearing an N95 mask after several hours on the road.
Police say the N95 mask could have caused the driver to experience "insufficient oxygen intake/excessive carbon dioxide intake," but they say they don't know the cause of the crash with 100% certainty.
While cops say Jersey residents should keep following Governor Phil Murphy's guidelines for covering faces in public, and they don't want to cause a panic or suggest the N95 mask is unsafe, police say wearing an N95 mask while driving solo is "unnecessary."
Lots of health care professionals have urged us all to reserve N95 masks for healthcare workers on the frontlines of the pandemic. There are other options for the rest of us.
The good news ... cops say the driver's injuries are non-life threatening.
Don't mess with Pablo Escobar ... or the late drug lord's family, which is accusing a former exec of hijacking the Escobar YouTube channel, and trying to extort them.
Escobar Inc. is suing Daniel Reitberg, a former chief operating officer of the company, claiming the guy siphoned money out of the Escobars and is now holding their YouTube channel hostage.
In docs, obtained by TMZ, the company claims Reitberg quit last month, but not before raiding the corporate accounts and changing the password to the company's YouTube channel ... cutting off their access.
The company -- which once wanted to partner up with a famous L.A. "gringo" -- claims Reitberg set up corporate bank accounts for the purpose of collecting payments for Escobar merch sold on the YouTube channel ... which it says has generated more than $1 million in sales.
Escobar Inc. also claims Reitberg has made off with thousands of dollars and refuses to surrender the channel. They claim he's holding it ransom ... as a means to extort significant sums of money from the company. The company claims it has tried but failed to reason with him.
Courtrooms weren't really how Pablo handled disputes -- but his family company is now suing to get Reitberg to fork over the password, and for other damages.
Dimitri Diatchenko -- famous for his role in "Chernobyl Diaries" is dead ... TMZ has learned.
Dimitri was found dead Wednesday at his home in Daytona Beach, FL ... the actor's brother tells TMZ. We're told Dimitri's death was not related to the novel coronavirus, and there are no signs of foul play.
Dimitri's family says they had not heard from him in a few days, so they called police Wednesday for a wellness check, and that's when his body was discovered. The fam believes Dimitri died late Monday night or early Tuesday morning.
Our law enforcement sources tell us the coroner's office has Dimitri's body. We're told the cause of death is pending the medical examiner's investigation.
Dimitri's family is blindsided by his passing, because they say he was healthy and in good shape.
Dimitri is best known for playing Uri in "Chernobyl Diaries," and his other acting credits include roles in "Get Smart" and "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull."
