Kodak Black Staying Locked Up Until Trial ... There Goes His Summer

Published | Updated

Kodak Black is gonna have to make himself at home in a Florida jail cell, 'cause he's gonna be there at least until September ... according to the judge in the federal case.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... the judge ruled Wednesday, saying Kodak must remain behind bars until his trial gets underway.

You'll recall, Kodak requested to be let out on bail -- but under strict supervision -- so he could travel to South Carolina and deal with a sexual assault case. The feds, however, said he's too dangerous to be let out at all before trial.

Looks like the judge agreed with prosecutors. The Dept. of Justice says the court deemed the rapper to be a danger to the community. Kodak is scheduled to go on trial in Miami for lying on federal gun applications.

Prosecutors are also linking him to a March shooting, in which firearms he allegedly purchased through those applications were used.

As we reported, Kodak was arrested at Rolling Loud earlier this month where officers had warrants for his arrest after he'd been indicted on the false statement charges.

Ex-NFL Champ Jameel Cook Convicted Of Stealing ... Ripped By Prosecutors!!

Published | Updated

Jameel Cook -- a former Super Bowl champ with the Bucs -- was just convicted of stealing over $100k from an NFL player trust fund ... and prosecutors raked him over the coals afterward!!!

"He stole from the very fund his fellow former players depend on for help," Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg said ... "And he has now fallen from professional football glory to the ranks of felons."

As we previously reported ... the ex-Tampa Bay FB was busted back in September after officials say he stole money from the Gene Upshaw NFL Player Plan -- a fund set up to benefit ex-players.

Cook's scheme -- according to prosecutors -- involved him filing 30 bogus claims between March 2016 and September 2017 ... resulting in the 40-year-old illegally obtaining $105,000.

Prosecutors hit Jameel with a felony stealing charge -- and he faced up to 10 YEARS behind bars for the crime.

But, Cook cut a deal this week ... and in exchange for a guilty plea -- he will NOT have to go to prison.

Instead, Jameel got 10 years of probation ... and he was ordered to pay back the $105,000. He was also sentenced to 160 hours of community service and was hit with another $1,200 fine.

Oh, and in addition to getting ripped by Ogg ... Special Assistant District Attorney Jason Horn also threw some major shade on the ex-NFL player!!!

“He earned fame and great accolades in a career most could only dream of, and should have been role model,” Horn said ...

“Instead, he let down everyone around him by defrauding a plan set up for all players and taking money that wasn’t his.”

Cook was drafted by the Bucs in 2001 and played 8 seasons in the NFL. He was part of the Bucs 2002 Super Bowl team that defeated the Raiders, though he played behind Mike Alstott in that game.

Ashton Kutcher Testifies in Murder Trial ... In Stabbing Death of Friend

Published | Updated

Ashton Kutcher took the stand Wednesday in a murder case, and his testimony could be crucial in the case of a man prosecutors call a "serial sexual-thrill killer."

Kutcher was in an L.A. courthouse testifying in the trial of Michael Gargiulo -- aka the "Hollywood Ripper" -- who's accused of attacking 4 women with a knife and killing 3 of them over the span of 15 years.

Among them is Ashley Ellerin, a friend of Kutcher's who was supposed to be his date to a Grammys after-party in February 2001 but never showed. Kutcher reportedly went to her house to check on her but she didn't answer, so he left.

Ashton testified that he had met Ashley through a friend and he had gone to her house a few weeks before the Grammys to a housewarming party for her. He characterized his relationship with her as "an acquaintance," although he did say he had some interest in her.

Kutcher said the night of the Grammys was the first time he had thought he might pursue her in a dating relationship. He told the jury at around 7:30 PM he called her to say he was going to a friend's house to watch the show and then come to her home.

He said at 8:24 PM they talked and she said she had just gotten out of the shower and was going to blow dry her hair and they would meet up later and maybe go out to dinner. He called her at around 10 PM and believed he left a message saying it was getting late so they would not have dinner but just drinks.

Ashton says he went home, walked his dog and went to her place at around 10:45 PM. He knocked on her door but no one answered. He looked through a side window and saw what he thought was red wine spilled on the floor. So, he left.

The next morning Ashley was found dead in her home outside her bathroom, with more than 47 stab wounds, and authorities say Gargiulo was the murderer.

Ashton appeared in court wearing a blue suit and appeared relaxed on the stand.

The alleged serial killer is also accused of killing his 18-year-old neighbor, Tricia Pacaccio, back in 1993 when he lived in Illinois. Gargiulo moved to L.A. in 1998, but authorities say the killing didn't stop.

He's accused in Ellerin's death in 2001 and the 2005 murder of his neighbor, Maria Bruno, who was stabbed 17 times.

Gargiulo allegedly attacked another neighbor, Michelle Murphy, in her Santa Monica home in 2008, but she managed to fight off the attack and call 911. Blood matching Gargiulo's DNA was found at the scene.

He is facing murder charges in both California and Illinois.

Madison Beer BottleRock Disrupter Arrested ... For Being on Drugs

Published

The guy who freaked out Madison Beer at the BottleRock festival this weekend allegedly came back the next day, high on drugs ... which landed him in handcuffs.

Napa PD tells TMZ ... 28-year-old Jake Rutger Hanson was arrested Sunday just outside the festival grounds after cops were called for another disturbance. When officers arrived, we're told Hanson displayed signs of being under the influence, and cops say they found drug paraphernalia on him.

Hanson was busted on the spot and booked for being under the influence of a controlled substance, as well as for the paraphernalia. We're told cops suspect he was on some kind of hallucinogenic, but it's unclear which one.

Hanson caused quite a ruckus the day before his arrest ... when his movements in the BottleRock crowd caused Madison to abruptly halt her set and signal that there may have been a shooting threat in the audience.

He was whisked away by cops, who booted him from the event entirely -- although cops didn't find any weapons on him or any proof he'd committed a crime. Still, he wasn't supposed to come back at all. NPD says event staff found his behavior alarming -- and that was enough for them to tell him to get lost for good.

We're told his photo was even distributed around to make sure he wouldn't come back. While Hanson didn't make it back inside, he got close enough to draw attention.

MLB's Odubel Herrera Arrested For Domestic Violence ... Mug Shot

Published | Updated

10:35 AM PT -- TMZ Sports has obtained the mug shot from Herrera's arrest.

We've also obtained court docs from the incident ... which say Herrera's girlfriend was found with "hand print markings to her neck area and small scratches to her arms."

Odubel is due in court to face the charge in June on the same day the Phils are scheduled to play the Nationals in D.C.

Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Odubel Herrera was arrested Monday night after cops say he roughed up his 20-year-old girlfriend during an altercation in an Atlantic City casino.

According to the Atlantic City Police Department, Herrera and his GF got into a dispute at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino during the Phillies' off day Monday.

Cops were called to the scene ... and when they saw the woman, they said she had visible injuries on her arm and neck.

Cops say they found 27-year-old Herrera in his hotel room after the incident ... and arrested him on the charge of simple assault.

Herrera -- who's batting just .222 with 1 home run for the Phils this season -- was released from custody shortly after and will be required to return for a court date in the future.

For their part ... Major League Baseball says it's placed Herrera on administrative leave in wake of the arrest.

"This morning we were made aware of an alleged incident involving Odúbel Herrera," the Phillies said in a statement ... "Upon receiving this information, we immediately reported the incident to Major League Baseball, which has informed us that Herrera has been placed on Administrative Leave."

"The Phillies take any domestic violence accusation seriously, and strongly support the Joint Domestic Violence Policy agreed upon by MLB and the MLBPA."

Kid Ink Home Burglarized ... Over $200k in Stuff Gone

Published | Updated

Kid Ink came home to a broken-into house last week -- and, quite likely, a big SMH moment followed thereafter.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Ink arrived at his L.A.-area home Thursday evening and found a bunch of luggage in his backyard, which he hadn't put there. Upon further investigation, we're told he discovered the property had been broken into ... and that upwards of $200k worth of items were stolen.

Our sources say some of the stuff that was jacked included purses and an assortment of jewelry he had lying around the place.

To make matters worse ... we're told the prowlers were able to get in fairly easy -- through his very own back door ... which was left completely unlocked. Our sources say that's how the dude(s) got in -- as there were no signs of forced entry. Doh!!!

High-profile burglaries have plagued the Los Angeles area for well over a year now, with celeb victims like Rihanna, Yasiel Puig, Taylor Swift, Chief Keef, Christina Milian and other stars who were set to be targets of robberies. Cops cracked down and arrested a handful of suspects in relation to some of those burglaries, but it's clear there are still people out there breaking and entering.

As for KI ... we're told police are investigating the matter.

Seahawks' Brandon Browner Sued by Ex-GF For Multiple Attacks On Top of Attempted Murder

Published | Updated

Brandon Browner is now being accused of much more than attempted murder of his ex-girlfriend -- 'cause she's suing him, and claiming multiple instances of domestic violence.

The former Seattle Seahawks star was just sued by his ex for multiple alleged attacks that she says occurred between 2016 and 2018 -- including the attempted murder case last year, for which he was convicted and is currently serving 8 years in prison.

In the docs, obtained by TMZ Sports, the woman says she'd suffered numerous acts of violence at the hands of Browner dating back to July 2016, when she says they were still a couple. Three alleged incidents she details from that year include him hitting her across the face on one occasion, making her lose consciousness on another, and inflicting a carpet burn on her face on yet another.

In 2017, Browner's ex claims he attacked her two different times while she slept -- once, allegedly picking her up by the neck, slamming her onto the bed and then chasing her through the street in her undergarments. During a separate incident, she says he punched her repeatedly in the thigh while she slept, leaving severe pain and bruising.

Come 2018, the woman alleges Browner broke into her home one month before the attempted murder and pinned her down to a couch for 15 minutes, threatening to hurt her and eventually making off with her phone and keys. In July, she says he broke in again ... and tried killing her in front of their kids.

The details are harrowing -- Browner's ex claims he broke into her place through a window, dragged her back into the house, smothered her face into the carpet to the point she almost lost consciousness ... and then brought her and their two kids out to the living room to petrify them further.

A month later, Browner was arrested and booked for domestic battery but was eventually charged with attempted murder. He ultimately pled no contest to that and 2 other charges in court.

Stan Lee Ex-Biz Partner Arrested in AZ ... On Elder Abuse Charges

Published | Updated

Stan Lee's former business partner was just picked up by cops after being charged for elder abuse ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell us Keya Morgan was taken into custody Saturday morning in Scottsdale, AZ -- this after a warrant was issued for his arrest last week. The circumstances surrounding his arrest remain unclear for now.

As we reported ... a judge issued the warrant after Morgan was charged with 5 separate counts of elder abuse out of LA County. The docs stated that the alleged misconduct took place in June 2018, but Stan himself wasn't named as an alleged victim.

It ain't hard to connect the dots here though -- Stan's team filed a restraining order against Morgan a month later, July 2018, claiming the guy had mishandled more than $5 million of the Marvel legend's money ... and that Stan had suffered physical and emotional injuries at the hands of Morgan, who was looking over him around that time.

Keya issued a statement to us last year, completely denying the allegations against him and vowing to clear his name. He said, "This is a witchhunt by his daughter and her lawyer against me because she cannot stand the fact Stan likes me so much. I will 100% prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the allegations against me are false. The truth will come out."

Of course, Stan died of heart failure this past November. He was 95.

Luann de Lesseps Dodges Jail Time for Mimosas ... But Gets New Probation Terms

Published

Luann de Lesseps felt the cold steel of handcuffs Thursday, but she's NOT going back to jail for violating her probation by downing a couple of mimosas.

The 'Real Housewives of New York' star went before a Florida judge and during the hearing they put her in cuffs ... but the State's Attorney for Palm Beach County State tells TMZ ... she was not taken to jail ... contrary to several reports.

As we've reported ... Luann recently told her probation officer she had "2 glasses of mimosas after a performance" in Chicago. That's a major no-no because she's supposed to stay away from booze for a whole year under the plea deal she struck in her drunken arrest case.

We're told the court didn't believe she was taking her probation seriously -- so the judge ordered additional probation conditions for Luann. They include keeping a breathalyzer in her car, weekly telephone counseling, monthly in-person meetings with a psychiatrist and taking the prescription drug Antabuse ... which treats alcoholism.

A rep for Luann tells TMZ ... she looks forward to completing the last couple months of probation and putting this entire situation behind her and moving on with her life.

Mama June Shows Busted Teeth & Collapses ... In Dramatic Intervention

Published | Updated

Mama June needs help -- and her family recognized as much when they confronted her in an intervention, which features MJ in a decrepit state ... busted teeth and all.

June was sat down by a roomful of family members earlier this month in a staged intervention that went down at her sister's home. With the help of Dr. Ish Major, her family pled with her to straighten out her life ... which appears to mostly be falling on deaf ears here.

One of the more heartbreaking moments ... June's youngest daughter, Alana -- aka Honey Boo Boo -- breaks down crying at one point, saying she wants to move back home.

Check it out ... Mama June has become a shell of herself since she got arrested for possession of crack cocaine in March with boyfriend Geno Doak. Her teeth -- which she'd recently gotten fixed up -- are literally falling apart. She also collapses on camera.

We've also obtained a clip -- that will air this week -- of June's daughter, Pumpkin, and her sister discussing June's arrest from earlier this year.

Rather than stay away from Geno -- like her family has suggested, and a judge ordered -- she's been shacking up with him since the arrest ... and has been hitting the slots on and off a lot as well. BTW ... we're told Geno wasn't present for the intervention.

MAMA LIKES HER SLOTS

As we've reported ... HBB has had to move in with her older sister, Pumpkin, while MJ has allegedly moved into a casino. The preview addresses that issue as well, and a suggestion that could affect June's child for years to come ... if her ma doesn't get it together.

"Mama June From Not to Hot: The Road to Intervention" airs Friday at 9 PM on WE tv ... and the finale will hit next week.

Kellen Winslow Jr. Second Rape Accuser ... He Threatened to Murder Me Too

Published

A second woman just testified that ex-NFL star Kellen Winslow Jr. threatened to murder her while raping her in 2018 ... echoing allegations from another woman who testified Tuesday.

The 58-year-old woman -- identified as Jane Doe #2 in court -- alleges Winslow picked her up on May 18, 2018 in the San Diego area in order to take her on a coffee date.

But, instead of getting drinks at a nearby cafe ... she says Winslow pulled over on the side of the road in a remote area and raped her.

She claims during the act, he put his hands around her neck and said, "'If you scream,' I don't know if it was, 'I'll choke you to death' or 'I'll murder you.'"

The woman says after Kellen was finished ... he drove her away from the area and again threatened to kill her "if you tell anyone."

The woman says she thought she was going to die multiple times during the encounter, telling the court Wednesday, "I was very afraid. The whole time I thought I was never going to get out alive."

Remember, on Tuesday, another woman using the alias Jane Doe #1 told a similar story -- claiming Winslow picked her up while hitchhiking in 2018 and violently raped her before threatening to kill her if she told anyone.

Winslow has been in court all week facing his accusers -- he's been charged with multiple felonies including kidnapping and forcible rape. If convicted on all counts, he faces life in prison.

For his part, Kellen has denied all of the allegations.

Michael Avenatti Indicted Again ... Allegedly Stole $$$ from Stormy Daniels

Published

Michael Avenatti has just been indicted on new charges ... alleging he stole money from a former client ... and sources tell TMZ it's Stormy Daniels.

The U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York has charged the disgraced attorney with 1 count of wire fraud and 1 count of aggravated identity theft charges. The feds say he fraudulently diverted money the client -- Stormy -- was owed on a book deal to an account he controlled.

According to prosecutors, he did this by sending a fraudulent letter purporting to contain his client's signature to Stormy's literary agent. According to the complaint ... Stormy didn't know the letter existed much less sign off on it.

He allegedly used the money from that account to pay for airfare, hotels, restaurants, meal deliveries and meet payroll for his businesses. In total, he allegedly diverted around $300k ... and although he sent her around half that, prosecutors say he hasn't paid her the balance.

Avenatti just denied the charges, tweeting, "At no time was any money misappropriated or mishandled." He went on to explain how he was entitled to some of the money as part of his fee.

If convicted on the new charges, Avenatti faces up to 20 years for the wire fraud count and a mandatory term of 2 years on the aggravated identity theft charge.

In addition, Avenatti's also in the feds' crosshairs for allegedly trying to extort Nike outta more than $20 mil.

Meek Mill D.A. Wants Him to Get New Trial ... In Front of New Judge!!!

Published | Updated

Meek Mill's been getting a raw deal from Judge Genece Brinkley and deserves a new trial without her on the bench ... and that's according to the District Attorney in Philly.

The D.A.'s Office just filed new docs in Pennsylvania Superior Court stating Judge Brinkley's appearance of bias has been evident throughout the case ... and therefore, Meek should be retried in his probation violation case.

You'll recall, Judge Brinkley sentenced Meek to 2 to 4 years in state prison -- which was eventually set aside when Meek was released in April 2018 ... promptly boarding a chopper with 76ers owner Michael Rubin.

Since then, he appealed and asked for a new trial, but Judge Brinkley shot him down last June ... refusing to grant the retrial.

MEEK IS FREE

It's kind of extraordinary ... with Wednesday's filing, you now have the D.A. on the record siding with the defendant. In the docs, obtained by TMZ, the D.A. calls out Brinkley's bias against Meek ... singling out a surprise visit she made to a homeless shelter where Meek was doing court-ordered community service.

The D.A. points out that's not what judges do ... that's for probation officers who report back to the judge. According to the docs, Brinkley also "abused her discretion" when she hit him with the 2 to 4 year sentence for "technical violations" of his probation. Still, she has repeatedly refused to recuse herself from the case.

Even the D.A. says Meek serves no threat to the community, and had completed drug treatment -- and, therefore, deserves another shot in court ... sans Brinkley.

Kodak Black Begs Judge, Let Me Go to S. Carolina ... I Got a Case There Too

Published

Kodak Black has criminal cases to deal with in multiple states, and his latest arrest in Miami is complicating things, big time ... so he's begging the judge for an assist.

As we've reported ... the rapper was arrested 11 days ago during the Rolling Loud festival, and though he was granted a pre-trial release -- if he can post a $500k bond -- the feds are appealing that and want to keep him behind bars.

Kodak's problem is he's also facing a serious felony charge in South Carolina for sexual misconduct, and needs to appear in court to stand trial. So, he's proposing a compromise to the federal judge in Florida ... let me out, but keep me under 24-hour surveillance while I'm traveling.

In new docs, the rapper says he still wants out on bond, and proposes a system of nonstop, round-the-clock supervision to ensure he makes all of his required court appearances ... and then gets back to Florida.

As we've told you ... federal prosecutors claim Kodak is too risky for bail due to his criminal history and want to him behind bars, but his legal team claims the feds don't have evidence to support that.

Second mistake? They found outstanding bench warrants ... which prompted a search of his car ... which is when cops say they found the weed.

Cops arrested Fatboy -- government name Tyriq Kimbrough -- for 1 count of possession of weed and bail jumping for the 2 bench warrants. Adding insult to injury, cops also slapped him with tickets for failure to observe a signal and driving on the suspended license.

Ex-'Bachelor' Chris Soules Sentencing Delayed ... in Fatal Car Crash Case

Published | Updated

12:37 PM PT -- The 2-plus year legal drama will continue as Soules' sentencing has been delayed. It'll be rescheduled for a later date. Defense attorney Robert Montgomery made a last-ditch effort to get the court to throw out the victim impact statements ... and the judge agreed to grant the motion.

Because the victim impact statements were thrown out, the judge also granted a motion to draft a new pre-sentence investigation report ... requested by both the defense and prosecutors.

Former 'Bachelor' Chris Soules will finally learn his fate in his fatal car crash case when he arrives to court for his sentencing at 11:30 AM PT ... and TMZ will be streaming live.

Soules is expected to arrive in Buchanan County, Iowa court any moment now and finally put the 2-year-old case behind him when a judge hands down his sentencing. As we reported ... Soules struck a plea deal back in November 2018 ... pleading guilty to 1 count of leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, which is an aggravated misdemeanor.

It was a HUGE plea deal considering he initially pled not guilty to a felony charge of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death. As we first reported ... Soules was behind the wheel of a Chevy pickup when it rear-ended a John Deere tractor, sending it into a ditch.

The driver was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where he died. Chris was the one who called 911 to report the accident but prosecutors said he fled the scene before cops got there. Soules was later arrested at his house, but not before refusing to come out at first.

Soules, who was "The Bachelor" for season 19 in 2015, could get up to 2 years in jail.

Stay tuned ...
