Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater's romance came as a surprise to the Broadway actor's now-estranged wife who feels he abandoned his family ... TMZ has learned.

Sources close to Lilly Jay -- who married Slater back in 2018 -- tell us she's devastated her family's been torn apart. She's also upset their young son, who was born in August 2022, won't have both his mom and dad around constantly, now that they've split.

Our sources say Lilly and Ethan aren't on good terms now that the Ariana relationship is full steam ahead.

We're also told, for her part, Lilly feels like he's completely turned his back on his family.

What's more, we're told Ariana actually used to hang out with both Ethan and Lilly while they were still a happily married couple, and she even liked his Instagram tribute to Lilly on Mother's Day this year. Remember, we're told Ariana and Ethan's romantic relationship started several months ago.

The whole thing has left Lilly feeling betrayed and heartbroken ... according to our sources.

Additional sources close to the situation tell us, "It's understandable that emotions are high and it's hard seeing your ex move on, especially in such a public way, and her friends are trying to protect her. But Ari and Ethan are just trying to lay low and be respectful of their exes as they pursue this new relationship."

TMZ broke the story ... Ariana and Ethan first met on the set of "Wicked" and their relationship grew from there. Sources close to them have maintained both Ariana and Ethan were split from their spouses -- Dalton Gomez and Lilly -- when they got together.

Sources tell us while they haven't yet filed divorce docs, there's definitely one on the horizon for Ariana and Dalton.

As for Lilly and Ethan ... it doesn't appear either has filed yet, but it sounds like things are beyond repair.

Ariana Madix fired some shots at Tom Sandoval during her dream come true appearance on "Love Island USA" ... in a game all about knowing your partner's true colors.

The "Vanderpump Rules" star made her villa debut Tuesday night, hosting the "Mr. and Mrs." game for this season's islanders -- telling contestants she "can't wait to see who's actually been taking the time to get to know one another."

A great setup for a jab at Tom -- then saying "Take it from me, it's important to know who you're dating or sharing a bed with." Ariana adds, "If they're not the one for you, trust me, it's better to find out sooner rather than later."

'VPR' fans remember "Love Island" was the topic of a pretty dramatic convo between Ariana and Tom just before their split. She was talking with him about spending quality time, and he responded, "I don't have time to watch 50 goddamn episodes of Love Island."

As we reported, Ariana was over the moon Tuesday, sharing a first look at her time gathering around the fire pit in Fiji ... and her recent appearance is on top of multiple brand deals, joining the cast of "Dancing with the Stars," and filming a new season of "VPR."

Carlee Russell has majorly ticked off a key member of her inner circle after news surfaced Monday that her kidnapping story was BS.

Thomar Simmons posted a lengthy statement on Instagram, slamming Carlee for her lies and now referring to himself as her "ex" boyfriend. He also scrubbed all signs of Carlee from his social media accounts and stopped following her.

Simmons wrote, "Carlee's actions created hurt, confusion and dishonesty. I was made aware of the false narrative after coming to the defense of my ex Carlee Russell."

He explained that he and his family reacted with love and concern at first, but they are "disgusted" with the outcome of the case.

Simmons went on to say they were totally blindsided by Carlee's phony tale, noting they've gained some closure with her confession while acknowledging the police investigation is ongoing.

As you know, Russell's attorney, Emory Anthony, issued his own statement, which was read by Hoover Police Chief Nick Derzis Monday night at a news conference.

Anthony said Carlee made up the whole abduction story, as well as her claim she saw a toddler walking along the highway. He also apologized on behalf of Carlee and asked everyone to pray for her as she works on her issues. But Anthony failed to address why Carlee did what she did.

Meanwhile, the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office is reviewing the case to determine if Carlee should be criminally charged. Police spent many hours and tax dollars searching for Carlee after she called 911 to falsely report the child wandering on the interstate.

Rosalía and her fiancé, Rauw Alejandro, aren't gonna be saying their "I dos" after all -- 'cause the famous couple is apparently splitting up.

The two singers have decided to end their fairly new engagement -- this after 2 years together, according to People. Per the outlet, they still have love and respect for one another ... but are calling it quits.

There's no further elaboration for what went wrong ... their uncoupling is certainly shocking fans, as it seems to have come out of nowhere.

Rosalía announced she'd been proposed to by Rauw this past March, and of course ... she said yes. The engagement followed a very public romance they enjoyed since September 2021, when they first went public on Instagram. Since then, they've been mostly inseparable.

While their supporters -- of which there are many worldwide -- are certainly bummed (check X) ... ya gotta figure there are some happy to see these two superstars newly single. Fact is -- they're both incredibly attractive (and talented) ... and now, they're both on the market.

Tiffany Haddish says Common's claim their breakup was amicable is BS -- she claims it was anything but, and that he dumped her with a phone call.

The actress/comedian dished to WaPo about her version of what went down when they went their separate ways in late 2021 ... after a year of dating during the pandemic. A month after they split, Common went on the record, calling it "a mutual thing."

He also said the lifting of COVID restrictions made them grow apart, and he felt they weren't "feeding the relationship" ... even though he had fond memories of their time together.

Welp, Tiffany remembers things a little differently ... especially on how it ended.

According to her, it was actually Common who started to drift away, as she claims he failed to invite her to a number of events they could've gone to as a couple ahead of their uncoupling ... including his own birthday party!

TH also says this ... "It wasn’t mutual. It was more him saying, ‘I think this relationship has run its course.’ And, I was like, ‘Okay. Like you gonna be a 50-year-old single man. Okay?'"

The one thing they seem to be on the same page about ... when it was good, it was great. Both Tiffany and Common have characterized the bulk of their relationship as healthy and mature -- but they're speaking different languages when it comes to how it finished.

Joe Manganiello has filed for divorce from Sofia Vergara ... TMZ has learned.

Joe's lawyer, disso queen Laura Wasser, filed legal docs late Wednesday citing the usual irreconcilable differences.

The docs reveal there is a prenup, and they will each keep the assets they accumulated during their 7-year marriage. Wasser has a reputation for defending prenups, and our sources say Sofia is not going to contest it.

Since they have no kids, it seems like a pretty straightforward divorce.

Speaking of kids, we're hearing a big reason Joe has filed is their conflict over having children -- he wants them, she does not.

Joe and Sofia will each cover their own lawyers' fees.

The date of separation is listed as July 2, 2023.

Tori Spelling is speaking out for the first time since splitting from estranged husband Dean McDermott ... she's defiant, saying she's always looked better solo.

The actress was doing some shopping Monday at a Target in the San Fernando Valley when a photog asked if she was blindsided by Dean announcing their separation.

Tori was mum on the prospects of getting a divorce, but what she did say was telling ... she says, "I've always looked better on my own."

Remember ... Dean posted news of their split last month, then later deleted the post, but he's said to be gung-ho on a divorce.

Tori was also spotted recently staying at a motel in Los Angeles with her and Dean's 5 children, and she fired back at the photog ... saying she was doing whatever it takes to care for her kids.

The motel stay was reportedly because Tori's home was infested with mold, and not a result of the split, but Tori was in no mood to offer details after her Target run.

Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez couldn't make their marriage work in a post-Covid world ... because their lives were vastly different.

Sources connected to the former couple with direct knowledge tell TMZ, when Ariana and Dalton hooked up in 2020, they were everything to each other -- company, romance, support ... all of it.

When Covid restrictions lifted, we're told their differences became alarmingly apparent. Dalton, an L.A. realtor, was taken aback by Ariana's celebrity. He had not dealt with her schedule, the paparazzi and the various opportunities that took her out of L.A.

We're told Dalton would sometimes question why they needed to go around town with security, something that was a must for Ariana.

Their differences started to make the marriage unravel, and it was greatly exacerbated when she went to England last December to begin filming "Wicked."

By January, they were separated, but still on friendly terms. They began living separate lives until May, when they decided to take a shot at it again. That lasted 2 weeks before they both threw in the towel.

Fact is ... we're told Dalton has been dating over the last few months, which was fine with Ariana. Our sources say both Ariana and Dalton were "shocked" no one picked up on the separation until today, when TMZ broke the story they had gone their separate ways and were headed for divorce court.

It's splitsville for Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello -- as the couple just announced they're throwing in the towel on their marriage ... and going their separate ways.

They issued a joint statement Monday, telling Page Six ... "We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives."

The outlet reports they've been growing apart for quite some time and have recently been spending time apart to figure out a path forward.

The two actors got together in 2014, and were engaged 6 months later. They got married in 2015 --- but never had any children together ... although Sofia has a son from a previous relationship. They've often been considered one of Hollywood's big-time power couples.

Vergara -- whose been overseas celebrating her 51st birthday over the past several weeks -- appears to have been telegraphing she may be a single woman ... posting a ton of hot shots of herself in a bathing suit, with no sign of Joe in any of her recent snaps. Granted, the guy's been busy on the East Coast lately filming a new movie with Vince Vaughn ... pre-strike.

This is Sofia's second marriage and Joe's first. SV was in a long-term relationship with businessman Nick Loeb before she hooked up with Joe ... the remnants of which proved to be dramatic, as their embryo case dragged on for years in court.

Here's hoping this uncoupling isn't as eventful.

As we reported, Ariana was not wearing her wedding ring at Wimbledon over the weekend ... in fact, she's been ringless a lot these days.

We're told a few months back the 2 tried a reconciliation, but it failed.

One source with direct knowledge told TMZ, their relationship "is heading for divorce."

Ariana and Dalton have been thousands of miles apart since December, when she started filming "Wicked." Our sources say they were having problems even before that.

We're told they remain friends and still talk on the phone regularly, but, according to sources, the marriage is kaput.

It was early 2020 when we first saw the two of them making out at dinner at Bar Louie in Northridge, CA. At the time, no one really knew who Dalton was or how serious the couple's relationship had gotten.

The couple tied the knot in May 2021 in a very private ceremony at Ariana's home in Montecito.

NeNe Leakes isn't buying the theory dominating the internet ... Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann got into a super nasty divorce and then suddenly reconciled as a way to get back into reality TV.

Kevin Costner's estranged wife Christine Baumgartner better think twice before removing a sofa or fridge from the family home, because we've learned a judge has just laid down the law.

The judge in the bitter divorce case just issued a ruling this morning -- Christine is permitted to remove and take all her clothing, toiletries, handbags and jewelry when she vacates the family beach club compound at the end of this month, but she shall NOT remove any other property without coming to an agreement with Kevin.

Among the things Christine can't take on her own ... furniture, furnishings, appliances and artwork. She also can't take it upon herself to remove items from their storage units.

TMZ broke the story ... Kevin claimed in legal docs Christine has been fleecing him by taking Kevin's property and cash post-split without his consent.

Among the things, he alleged ... Christine bought a fancy new car a month before she filed for divorce. Kevin's lawyer says it's curious because they only leased cars, and the lawyer believes Christine hatched a plan to get various items and cash even before she filed.

Time apparently doesn't heal all wounds for Future ... 'cause the rapper just seemingly dissed the hell outta Russell Wilson in his latest song.

The Atlanta M.C. dropped the controversial bar in his "Turn Yo Clic Up" collab with Quavo on Friday ... rapping in his verse, "I got it out the field, f*** Russell."

Future hasn't shied away from his thoughts on his ex-fiancée and mother of his child, Ciara, moving on with the NFL quarterback ... going in on the now-married couple multiple times in interviews.

Remember, Future Hendrix bashed Ciara for having Russell around Future Jr. early in their relationship ... telling "The Breakfast Club" in 2015, "You don't bring a man around your son."

"You've known this man for a few months and you're bringing him around your kid? Who does that?"

He later went in on Russell in 2019 ... saying he's not a real man in their relationship.

Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix can't avoid each other -- they're back to sharing the same space publicly for the first time since the explosive "Vanderpump Rules" reunion, and yes ... producers got it all on camera.

The whole 'VPR' cast flocked to SUR Restaurant in WeHo Tuesday, where James Kennedy was DJing -- apart from Tom and Ariana, Tom Schwartz stepped in ... as did Katie Maloney and Scheana Shay. Sources on the scene tell us the boss lady, Lisa Vanderpump, was there too, hosting a dinner for the whole gang.

Tom and Ariana weren't spotted together while at the spot, but they were for sure under the same roof ... so there's gotta be some tension there.

Sandoval might have dodged Ariana, but he and Scheana got into a pretty intense argument -- it's hard to hear most of the conversation, but at one point you definitely hear her shout, "If you hadn't f***ed Raquel" ... before storming away.

As we reported, TMZ obtained footage of the Toms getting into a bit of a heated argument this week as the cameras rolled, so it seems the beating Sandoval's been taking since his affair with Raquel Leviss will continue into the next season.

In other words ... they're giving 'VPR' fans exactly what they want.

Kim Zolciak has a new lease on life (and love) -- which she seems to be signaling to the world with a sneak peek at her rockin' mom bod.

The 'RHOA' star posted some footage Monday night on her Instagram where she's whipping her hair around after a salon visit and looks very happy with the results ... as she thanked the owners of the joint.

Of course, the obvious image here that stands out -- besides her golden locks -- is her cleavage, because she posted the vid wearing just her bra, and Kim's cups runneth over.

Thirst traps from 'Housewives' are nothing new, but the timing of this one is interesting. Obviously, Kim just patched things up with her husband, Kroy Biermann, and called off their divorce ... which had gotten very ugly very quickly.

If this were a week ago, everyone would assume Kim did it to get under Kroy's skin -- but now that they're mending fences ... we're guessing she's just feeling good, and wanting to show she's looking good too.

"The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" is quickly jumping back into production for pick-ups to chase the buzz surrounding Kyle Richards & Mauricio Umansky's split ... TMZ has learned

Sources connected to the reality series tell TMZ the crew is going back to film more of season 13, and the ladies will begin shooting this week.

It's unclear how long the women will be back in front of the camera for, but we're told it won't be a terribly long shoot schedule ... the main goal is to get the fallout and talking points around the breakup.

The season originally wrapped filming in May, but clearly, producers felt it was worth it to get cameras back up.

You'll recall, People first reported last week that the 2 were pulling the plug on their 27-year marriage -- claiming they've been separated for some time but were keeping things friendly while living under the same roof.

Kyle and Mauricio put out a joint statement after news broke, denying the breakup rumors ... although admitting it's been a rough year for them. They also spent time together during the 4th of July.

Kyle even claimed she was not a single gal when asked by photogs last week ... but there must be something juicy going on behind the scenes -- obviously enough to warrant these pick-ups.
