Jermall Charlo Prosecutors Dropping Charge Against Boxer ... In Assault Case

Published | Updated

Jermall Charlo just scored a big win in his assault case ... prosecutors tell TMZ Sports they're dropping the felony charge against the star boxer.

According to court documents, Charlo was accused of roughing up a family member during a Sept. 5, 2021 incident in Fort Bend County, Texas. He was eventually arrested over it all back in February, and charged with felony assault.

But a spokesperson for the Fort Bend County District Attorney's Office tells us they filed a motion to dismiss the case on Monday "based on the reason that we cannot prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt."

"Evidence developed in a way that did not support the charge to conclusion," the spokesperson said.

Charlo's attorney said in a statement Monday the 32-year-old was "very happy" with the decision.

"Nine witnesses came forward to say Charlo never hit his 21-year-old nephew," said Charlo's lawyer, Kent Schaffer. "Jermall is very happy. He can concentrate on preparing for his next fight now that this distraction has been removed."

Another Charlo -- Jermall's twin brother, Jermell Charlo -- is still facing legal troubles related to the case, however.

Prosecutors tell us Jermell -- who was hit with a misdemeanor charge after he was accused of telling the alleged Jermall victim during the incident, "I will kill you with my bare hands" -- is still facing a misdemeanor charge of making a terroristic threat.

He's due in court for a hearing on the matter later this month.

Prince Andrew 'You're a sick old man!!!' Heckler Arrested at Queen's Funeral Procession

Prince Andrew was the target of a heckler during Queen Elizabeth's funeral procession, taking some nasty insults before police intervened.

The Queen's funeral cortege passed through the streets of Edinburgh Monday, as Andrew was among the men walking behind QEII's casket.

Eventually, police grabbed the 22-year-old heckler ... he's reportedly been arrested for a breach of the peace, aka disturbing the peace.

That's when the heckler unloaded, shouting, "Andrew, you're a sick old man!"

As you know, there's been lots of drama surrounding Prince Andrew.

He settled a lawsuit back in February ... after a woman named Virginia Giuffre claimed he had sex with her 3 times when she was still a minor, something he categorically denied.

The prince also was believed to have ties to convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell and her associate Jeffrey Epstein.

21 Savage ICE Arrest Cops Were Wrong ... Throw Out the Evidence, Judge!!!

Published

21 Savage wants all evidence collected during his 2019 stop suppressed ... because the superstar rapper says officers had no right to stop him in the first place.

According to new legal docs obtained by TMZ, 21 Savage's team filed a motion to prevent prosecutors from using any of the evidence collected after he was stopped -- claiming he was doing nothing wrong back in February 2019, when law enforcement pulled him over, making it an unlawful stop.

You might recall -- it's been a minute -- officers claim 21 threw codeine out of the car along with his keys when they pulled him over.

As for the firearm cops found in the car ... 21 says "there was no illegality for the weapon to be in the car." Regardless, the rap star was charged with drug and gun possession, and is facing deportation back to the UK ... his birthplace.

The case has been going on for years, which has made it a little difficult to maneuver as a rapper.

Nonetheless, 21 still found time to rock the Rolling Loud and Breakaway festivals this year ... but it seems like what he really wants is this case to be over!!!

Published | Updated
UPDATE

1:52 PM PT -- Prosecutors tell TMZ Sports ... Everett was also sentenced to 100 hours of community service. He was also ordered to create a PSA for the NFL and other sports leagues.

Former Washington Commanders captain Deshazor Everett has just been sentenced to house arrest in the criminal case involving his December car crash that resulted in the death of his girlfriend.

A judge handed down the sentence in a Loudoun County, Va. courtroom on Thursday ... two months after Everett pleaded guilty to misdemeanor reckless driving in the case.

The judge sentenced the 30-year-old to 12 months of house arrest, with nine months suspended, court records show. The judge also ordered the suspension of Everett's license for six months. He was also hit with a $2,500 fine, according to the records.

Outside of the courtroom following the ruling, Everett's attorney, Kaveh Noorishad, called it all "a fair decision."

Everett also spoke after the hearing ... and vowed "to be the best person" that his girlfriend "always wanted me to be."

As we previously reported, Everett was initially charged with felony involuntary manslaughter after officials alleged he was speeding before he crashed his Nissan GT-R. His girlfriend, Olivia Peters, was a passenger in the car, and died as a result of the wreck.

Everett cut a deal with prosecutors in July, pleading guilty to a lesser charge of misdemeanor reckless driving.

Everett -- who was released by the Commanders three months after the crash -- has not played football since the accident. He's currently an NFL free agent.

Shoreline Mafia's OhGeesy Busted for Codeine, Loaded Gun

Published | Updated
UPDATE

5:28 PM PT -- OhGeesy's attorney, Michael A. Goldstein, tells us he believes there were actually a total of 5 people in the car. In any event, he says, "Although it has been reported that a single firearm was recovered from a bag in the front passenger area, the officers arrested all 5 occupants.  We look forward to our day in court…assuming this makes it to the front steps of the building."

Shoreline Mafia rapper OhGeesy would love to put last weekend in his rearview, for good, but prosecutors won't let him now -- cops say he was riding dirty after leaving a friend's funeral.

Burbank PD pulled over OhGeesy and 3 other people last Saturday afternoon, claiming their car had expired tags and excessive window tint. Officers say they spotted a bottle of codeine in OhGeesy's pocket as he sat in the backseat ... plus, the car's driver allegedly didn't have a license.

That prompted a search of the vehicle, and according to cops, OhGeesy didn't have a prescription for the codeine. Even worse, officers found a loaded gun in the ride.

TMZ Hip Hop has learned OhGeesy and all 3 of his pals were arrested for possession of a loaded firearm. They were all charged for the gun, because no single person claimed it.

Cops also booked OhGeesy for the un-prescribed codeine. His bail was set at $35K, and he eventually bonded out.

The 28-year-old rapper had attended the funeral of his best friend Dennis "Dile" Mitchell the same day as the traffic stop.

In brighter news, OhGeesy has been going hard on his GeezyWorld Tour all month, and tour bus travel is probably his safest bet going forward!

Ex-WWE Superstar Velveteen Dream Bit, Punched Gym Employee Before Arrest ... Cops Say

Published | Updated

Former WWE superstar Velveteen Dream exploded on a gym employee before his arrest last month ... punching the man in the face and then biting him -- this according to new police documents, obtained by TMZ Sports.

The incident allegedly happened on Aug. 20 at around 8:4 PM at Club Orlando -- a fitness facility in Orlando, Fl.

Cops in the docs say a senior employee at the gym told them that an altercation between him and Velveteen Dream began after he said the wrestler had to leave an area that was closed for cleaning.

The man claimed Dream -- real name Patrick Clark -- went off on him, becoming "irate and argumentative." Things allegedly got so intense, the gym employee told Clark he had to leave the building entirely.

According to the docs, Clark then made threats to kill the gym employee -- before he hit the guy in his face.

Cops say the gym employee told them the two then got into a fight -- where Clark bit him. The two were then separated by another employee at the facility, cops say.

According to the documents, officers arrested Clark after they observed teeth marks on the employee's "left chest near the left armpit."

Court records show Clark has since been charged with two misdemeanors -- battery and trespassing on a property after warning -- over the incident. The records show his attorney did file a written plea of not guilty in the case.

As we reported, 27-year-old Clark was arrested again just six days later ... on a warrant for a violation of probation by the Orlando Police Department.

Clark first joined the WWE in 2015, and ultimately left the org. in 2021. He recently appeared to be angling for a comeback, posting on his social media page for the first time in over a year.

As for this new airport arrest ... Kamaiyah was booked and held on $70,000 bail, before posting bond.

Ex-Raiders DB Damon Arnette Entering Diversion Program ... To Close Out Cocaine Case

Published | Updated

Former Raiders defensive back Damon Arnette -- one of Las Vegas' first-round picks in 2020 -- has just entered a diversion program in an attempt to close out his drug case in Florida, TMZ Sports has learned.

A spokesperson for the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office tells us the 26-year-old will be a part of the program for three to six months.

We're told Arnette must, among other conditions, submit to random drug testing, complete a substance abuse evaluation, report monthly, and pay fees as part of the program.

If he complies with all of the conditions, the spokesperson said prosecutors will revisit his charges.

As we previously reported, Arnette was initially hit with felony cocaine possession and misdemeanor knowingly driving with a suspended license following two incidents with police back in July.

According to police documents, cops pulled over Arnette on July 25 and say he was driving on a suspended license. They issued him a citation and informed him he was not to drive until he gets his license reinstated.

But, just hours later on July 26, cops in the police report say they saw Arnette driving again ... and pulled him over once again and this time arrested him for knowingly driving with a suspended license. Cops say they then searched him and found a baggie containing "white powdery substance consistent with that of cocaine" on his person.

It was the second time in the last year that Arnette had been arrested -- he was previously busted in January in Las Vegas after he was accused of pointing a semi-automatic pistol at a valet demanding the person "give me my motherf***ing keys."

That case was ultimately dropped.

Arnette -- who briefly played with the Dolphins and Chiefs following his departure from the Raiders -- is currently an NFL free agent.

Tupelo, MS Pilot in Custody .... Threatened to Crash Plane Into Walmart

Published | Updated

A man stole a plane in Mississippi and threatened to crash it in a big box store, but thankfully ... the crisis was averted after authorities were ultimately able to talk him down.

The incident unfolded early Saturday morning in Tupelo, where an aviation employee for a private contractor -- stationed at the Tupelo Airport -- took flight at the crack of dawn in a small twin-engine aircraft ... only to then call police up in the air with ominous intentions.

Cops say he told them he was going to slam this thing into a nearby Walmart -- killing himself and everyone there -- which triggered a full-blown response from police and fire as well ... who evacuated that location and the surrounding areas too.

Negotiators hopped on the horn with this guy, who's been ID'd as Corey Patterson, and police say they were able to convince him to land the plane safely without doing any harm to himself or anyone else ... but the problem is, he didn't have any landing experience.

Waiting for your permission to load the Facebook Video.

Cops say Patterson had enough flight experience to get the plane off the ground, but couldn't bring it down -- so they roped in a private pilot who helped explain. The suspect was all set to touch down, but at the last minute ... he aborted and pulled up, continuing to fly.

He went on into a neighboring county, who were put on high alert -- and eventually, Patterson phoned in to say he'd landed in a field without issue or further incident. Patterson was uninjured, and nobody else was hurt either ... he was intercepted and arrested.

Cops say he's facing charges of grand larceny and terroristic threats locally, and may have more consequences on the federal level as well. A motive is unknown, they're investigating.

WHY DON'T WE DANIEL SEAVEY FAN CHARGED WITH TRESPASSING ... For Allegedly Breaking Into Home

Published | Updated

The woman who cops say broke into Why Don't We band member Daniel Seavey's home and slept in his bed might have a jail bunk in her future ... she's facing criminal charges.

According to new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, the L.A. City Attorney charged a 23-year-old woman named Eissa Amira with two counts of trespassing.

TMZ broke the story ... police say the woman broke into Daniel's L.A. home back in July. Surveillance footage shows the woman pacing outside his front door holding flowers and then climbing through a window.

Daniel's camp claims the woman rummaged through his closet once she was inside, putting on some of his clothes before climbing into his bed and falling asleep.

Surveillance footage from inside the home shows the woman -- in one of Daniel's hoodies -- digging through his cabinets the following morning, listening to "Can I Get It" by Adele.

The woman ended up leaving Daniel's place in handcuffs ... and she was placed on a temporary psych hold.

She's since been released, and Daniel ended up getting court-ordered protection from her, claiming she repeatedly showed up at his gym.

As for her motive behind the break-in, cops say the woman told them Daniel's arm tattoo -- showing a person climbing through a window -- was her inspiration.

Parkland Shooting Man Arrested for Leaving Dead Animals on Monument Disturbing Mug Shot

Published | Updated

A Florida man has been arrested for what cops are describing as a sick obsession with school shootings and killing animals after he allegedly placed several on a memorial dedicated to the victims of the Parkland school shooting.

Detectives from the Broward County Sheriff's Office say Robert Mondragon is responsible for leaving a dead duck (with its chest cut open), raccoon and opossum at the MSD Memorial Garden over the span of 11 days last month.

Cops say once they discovered Mondragon was allegedly behind the disgusting display, they were able to locate his vehicle July 31 and pulled him over for tinted windows.

Officers say inside Mondragon's car was bird feathers and blood, and he allegedly told the deputy he had a dead bird in his car because he likes "the metal and blood smells that emit from the dead animal."

Detectives say their investigation into Mondragon further revealed photos of dead animals on his phone and text messages as well as Internet searches about school shootings.

What's more ... cops say his shocking face tattoos resemble those of Tate Langdon from "American Horror Story" -- a character based on Columbine.

Not only that, detectives claim two weeks before the end of this past school year, "Mondragon walked the path the MSD school shooter (Nikolas Cruz) took from the high school to Walmart on Feb. 14, 2018."

Cruz is currently in a sentencing trial for killing 17 people when he opened fire at MSD High School.

Mondragon is being held without bond on charges of removing or disfiguring a tomb or monument (3 counts), violation of probation for battery and indecent exposure (5 counts) and violation of a risk protection order.
