Karl Towns & Jordyn Woods Cozyin' Up In Matching Jerseys ... On Yacht In Cabo

Published | Updated
UPDATE

11:31 AM PT -- KAT and Jordyn took the birthday bash to the waters in Cabo ... partying on a yacht with friends while wearing matching #23 "Woods" jerseys. Even KAT, who plays for the Timberwolves, was rocking the Chicago Bulls threads.

UPDATE

The couple looked like Jack and Rose from "Titanic" while getting cozy near the bow of the ship ... while the rest of the group looked on from the deck.

UPDATE

And, of course, there were jet ski joyrides.

UPDATE

Party!!!

Congratulations are in order for Karl-Anthony Towns ... the NBA superstar is out of the friend zone with Jordyn Woods!!!

But, let's be real -- was he ever really IN the friend zone??

As we previously reported, the duo has been spending a lot of time together over the past year -- from hanging at KAT's house to sushi dates at Nobu.

While everyone assumed they were BF and GF, Woods blasted the rumors in August 2019, saying, "Karl is like a brother to me."

But, things are 100% COMPLETELY different now -- 'cause KAT wished Jordyn a happy 23rd birthday on Wednesday with a not-so-brotherly pic (peep the hand placement).

If ya need any further evidence these two are an item, check out the gifts KAT got Woods for her big day -- 2 Birkin bags, a Chanel clutch and an autographed Michael Jordan jersey!!!

The whole party was MJ themed -- Woods turned 23 on the 23rd -- and there was even a cake in the shape of an Air Jordan 1.

KAT capped the whole thing off by sharing a special message for his girl, saying, "Happy BDAY Queen."

Consider this case closed.

D.L. Hughley SLAMS Kentucky AG Who Attacked Celebrities Celebs Care 'Cause We're Black!!!

JUST PLAIN INSULTING

D.L. Hughley wants Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron to get something through his head -- celebs are invested in Breonna Taylor's case because they're BLACK. They also just so happen to be celebrities, not the other way around.

The comedian and author joined "TMZ Live" on Thursday and took issue with Cameron warning Kentuckians to not let celebrities, influencers and activists "capture our emotions" in wake of the Grand Jury's decision not to indict anyone in Breonna's death.

Cameron said, "There will be celebrities, influencers and activists who having never lived in Kentucky will try to tell us how to feel, suggesting they understand the facts of this case, that they know our community ... but they don't. Let's not give in to their attempts to influence our thinking or capture our emotions." By Cameron's logic, only those who live in Kentucky have earned the right to feel a certain way.

D.L. cites the great Martin Luther King, Jr. -- "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." Point being ... you don't have to live in Kentucky to be a stakeholder.

D.L. says celebrities are speaking out first and foremost because Black celebrities have Black wives, Black daughters, Black nieces and nephews. His passion jumps off the screen.

But, the comedian -- like many pro athletes and other famous folks -- are outraged that, as he puts it, "the holes in the wall are getting more justice than the holes in our bodies."

BTW ... if you want to read a GREAT book about social justice and racism, read his book, "White People Surrender."

Chadwick Boseman Powerful Mural Unveiled ... Wakanda Forever in Downtown Disney

Published | Updated

Now this is cool -- a moving Chadwick Boseman mural, showing the late Marvel star giving the Wakanda salute to an adoring young fan wearing a "Black Panther" mask.

The powerful artwork by Nikkolas Smith was unveiled Thursday in Downtown Disney outside Disneyland in Anaheim ... and it's a fitting tribute to Chadwick's legacy in a number of ways.

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

Nikkolas calls the mural his "King Chad" tribute and says ... "It is a full circle moment for me: my final two projects as a Disney Imagineer last summer were working on the Children’s Hospital project and the Avengers Campus."

The child in the mural appears to be wearing a hospital gown. As you know, Chadwick spent a lot of time visiting young cancer patients, even as he silently battled colon cancer.

Nikkolas adds, "To millions of kids, T'Challa was a legend larger than life, and there was no one more worthy to fill those shoes than Chadwick Boseman."

Since his death last month, Chadwick's continued to inspire fans ... especially kids who've been moved to create their own tributes to their hero, and this new mural captures that spirit.

Like Nikkolas says ... "This one is special."

Selena Gomez Shows Off Kidney Transplant Scar ... 'I Feel Confident'

Published | Updated

Selena Gomez is not hiding her scars anymore ... she's showing 'em off and is damn proud.

The singer revealed Thursday ... ever since she got her kidney transplant she's made every attempt to hide the scar it left behind ... but no more. Selena posted a picture on Instagram showing off the scar ... calling it body empowerment.

She captioned the photo, "When I got my kidney transplant, I remember it being very difficult at first showing my scar. I didn’t want it to be in photos, so I wore things that would cover it up. Now, more than ever, I feel confident in who I am and what I went through."

Selena also tagged a swimsuit company promoting inclusivity and added, "All bodies are beautiful."

As we reported ... Selena underwent a kidney transplant in the summer of 2017. She was on the verge of death ... before her BFF Francia Raisa stepped in to save her. Later that year, Selena said she couldn't ask anyone to sacrifice a kidney, but Francia wasn't having it ... she stepped up and volunteered.

Selena told NBC's "Today" that her kidneys "were just done." The singer sounded like she was ready to give up. She also got emotional talking about how Francia literally saved her life.

Robert Kraft Off The Hook In Sex Spa Case ... Charges Dropped

Published | Updated

It's official ... Robert Kraft is now off the hook in his sex spa case, TMZ Sports has confirmed.

Court records show prosecutors dismissed Kraft's 2 misdemeanor charges of soliciting a prostitute ... with officials saying Thursday they didn't have enough evidence to get a conviction.

"Although there was probable cause to make an arrest," state attorney David Aronberg wrote in court docs, "the evidence cannot prove all legally required elements of the crime alleged and is insufficient to support a criminal prosecution."

The news isn't exactly a surprise ... in fact, it was expected after Kraft's team of lawyers successfully argued video of the New England Patriots owner allegedly receiving sex acts inside the Orchids of Asia Day Spa should NOT be admitted in the case.

Judges in the Florida Fourth District Court of Appeal ruled cops screwed up in the way they went about recording inside the Jupiter, Fla. facility by failing to ensure privacy for people getting legitimate massages. So, the footage was not allowed in the case.

With the vid thrown out ... prosecutors clearly lacked a smoking gun -- and were essentially forced to move on.

State officials are expected to break down the decision at a press conference later Thursday.

Of course, it's all great news for Kraft ... any video of the Pats honcho inside the spa will now probably NEVER see the light of day -- and any possible fines, fees and community service he was facing if convicted are now gone as well.

Homeless Man Shot and Killed by O.C. Sheriffs ... After Violent Confrontation

Published | Updated

Two Orange County Sheriff's Deputies got into a physical confrontation with a homeless man who allegedly went after one of the deputies' guns. The homeless man was shot and killed, and it was all caught on video.

The incident went down Wednesday afternoon in San Clemente, in front of the Hotel Miramar. Cops were called after witnesses said they saw the homeless man walking in the middle of the street into oncoming traffic. Witnesses said cars honked and swerved to avoid hitting him.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Department, when deputies from the homeless outreach team arrived, they got into a tense, physical confrontation with the man. As you see in the video ... the man appears to push the deputies. A physical encounter ensues and you can hear a deputy say, "He's got my gun" -- suddenly, 2 shots are fired.

The deputies performed CPR on the man, who died at the scene. The Sheriff's Department says surveillance video clearly shows the man trying to grab a deputy's gun.

The Dept. is investigating.

Azealia Banks Sued by Ex-Manager ... She's Trying to Extort Me

Published | Updated

Azealia Banks' rantings are taking a dangerous turn ... according to her ex-manager who claims she's threatening his loved ones' lives and his.

Jeff Kwatinetz is suing Banks claiming she's inciting her fans to help her with what he claims is a “coordinated campaign of extortion." The ex-manager claims Banks has been harassing him for a while, but recently crossed the line by threatening his family over what she claims are unpaid royalties.

In docs, obtained by TMZ, Jeff says he signed Banks back in October 2014 for her debut album "Broke with Expensive Taste" -- but Jeff dropped her in 2015 for her erratic behavior, and her refusal to promote her album.

Jeff, who runs management agency Prospect Park and co-founded the BIG3 League with Ice Cube -- claims Banks has been ranting on social media since June against him and the agency. He calls her claims the "rantings of a lunatic" ... but adds the rants are getting seriously threatening.

He claims Banks posted YouTube videos and other social media posts in which she threatened his family's lives ... as well as pics of herself outside his L.A. home. He views all the postings as her attempt to incite fans to take up her cause.

In the suit, Jeff says Banks is not owed any dough but believes she will use any means to get what she claims she's owed. He's suing for unspecified damages and wants an order keeping her away from him and his family.

We've reached out to Banks for comment, so far no word back.

President Trump Gets Boos, 'Vote Him Out' Chants ... As He Visits RBG's Casket

Published | Updated

President Trump is getting blatantly, and loudly, disrespected for his attempt to pay his respects to Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg ... and the chants he heard have a familiar ring.

First Lady Melania Trump and the President -- who was actually wearing a face mask -- went to the Supreme Court Thursday morning during the public viewing of flag-draped RBG's casket. Moments after the crowd of mourners saw him, a chorus of boos rained down on Trump.

Then came the repeated chant of "Vote him out!!!" In what Trump's opponents would call poetic justice ... the chant was done to the same cadence of the "lock her up" chants Trump himself has encouraged for years about Hillary Clinton.

The president didn't visibly react to the crowd's vitriol ... but there's no doubt he heard it, and he couldn't be too shocked.

Remember, POTUS has claimed RBG's reported dying wish -- to have her successor picked by whoever wins the presidential election -- was not real, and just propaganda created by the Democrats. BTW, Trump's said he'll nominate RBG's successor on Saturday.

So, yeah ... he had to know the boos would be coming.

Harrison Ford Cleared for Takeoff ... After FAA Investigation

Published | Updated

Harrison Ford is in the clear after the FAA investigated his improper runway crossing at a SoCal airport -- we’re told he completed a training course to close the case.

The FAA tells TMZ ... Harrison was required to take a "remedial runway incursion training course," and when he successfully completed it, the FAA closed the book on his case with no additional action.

TMZ broke the story ... Harrison had been told during the April incident to hold short on the runway at Hawthorne Airport because another plane was on the runway. Harrison, however, crossed anyway, prompting the tower operator to become alarmed.

There had been another plane a few miles behind him that was practicing touch-and-go landings. And, if you listen to the audio between Harrison and the tower, you hear the tower operator tell Harrison, "Can you hold short on runway. Traffic on the way."

It's apparent Harrison didn't hear the tower operator because he accelerated onto the runway and started crossing. The tower operator got angry at this ... saying Harrison ignored his instructions. Harrison profusely apologized, saying he heard the exact opposite -- that he was cleared to cross the runway.

That being said, there was no danger of a collision. The other plane was 3,600 feet away from Harrison when it hit the runway and, since the guy was doing touch-and-goes, he was up in the air long before reaching the other end of the runway where Ford was located.

A rep for the actor told us at the time ... "Mr. Ford crossed the airport's only runway in his aircraft after he misheard a radio instruction from ATC. He immediately acknowledged the mistake and apologized to ATC for the error."

But, as we've previously reported ... this isn't the first time Harrison's made a similar mistake. The incident at Hawthorne is reminiscent of another hiccup a few years ago at John Wayne Airport ... when Harrison mistakenly landed on the taxiway, which was dangerous. He admitted as much at the time, calling himself a "schmuck" on the radio.

There was another incident in 2015 when Harrison's engine failed -- not his fault, obviously. He was able to put the plane down on a golf course without injury to anyone.

Breonna Taylor Protests Truck Plows Through Crowd ... Cops Shot and Attacked

Published | Updated

Protests are erupting after the grand jury's decision not to charge the cops who fatally shot Breonna Taylor, and while most were peaceful ... there were also violent and disturbing incidents in several cities.

A pickup truck accelerated and plowed through a group of protesters marching in Buffalo Wednesday night, injuring at least one person who was on a bicycle. Officials reported that person was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and the truck driver is reportedly in custody.

Elsewhere in Seattle, 13 people were arrested as protests turned violent ... and one cop was brutally struck with a baseball bat in the back of his head.

The officer was on a bike when he lost balance and fell, and after someone threw a cone at him ... he shot pepper spray to keep the crowd at bay. That's when someone ambushed him from behind and cracked his helmet with a full swing of a metal bat.

Seattle police say the cop was one of multiple officers injured in the chaos, and they're still searching for the bat-wielding suspect.

Finally, in Louisville, 2 officers were shot and wounded amid the Breonna protests. The Interim Police Chief says a suspect's in custody and both officers are expected to recover ... though one had to undergo surgery.

As we reported ... only one of the cops involved in the raid that led to Breonna Taylor's killing -- fired officer Brett Hankison -- is being charged for the incident. He's facing 3 counts of wanton endangerment for shooting into the apartment next to Taylor’s. No one is charged for shooting and killing Breonna.

Marriage Proposal Fail Brooklyn Bridge is a Hit ... For Cyclist & Photog!!!

INCOMING!!!

A romantic proposal on the Brooklyn Bridge turned into a slapstick rom-com scene when the guy photographing the moment got CREAMED by an out-of-control biker!!!

Chris Vigo from the Bronx got on bended knee to pop the question to Angelica Rivera ... and enlisted his pal, Josh, to snap some photos of the special moment.

As Chris gets his bearings you see bicycles whiz by. There are more bikes than ever in NYC, because lots of people are scared to ride the subway because of rona.

As Josh gets in position to capture the "will you" and the [hopefully] "yes, yes I will!!" ... a shirtless cyclist careens into him as both guys go down hard.

Everyone was okay, and props to Chris for not even letting go of his lady's hand. He says not to worry -- they'll edit the crash out of the video -- but, hey, that's what makes it special and over time they will love it, right?

BTW -- Chris' lady is now his fiancee ... so yes, she said yes.

Kodak Black Please Trump, Let Me Outta Prison!!!

Published | Updated

Kodak Black is turning to Donald Trump for help ... he's begging the President to commute his prison sentence.

The rapper's attorneys, Bradford Cohen and Jonathan Schwartz, sent a petition to Trump, obtained by TMZ, asking the Prez to cut Kodak a break.

Kodak's camp has lots of reasons why Trump should commute his sentence ... Cohen points out Kodak was sentenced to 46 months behind bars in his federal gun case, and claims the average sentence for the same crime is 18 months.

As you know, Kodak's locked up in a maximum-security federal prison in Kentucky, but Cohen says it's not warranted ... he claims the Bureau of Prisons "erroneously" viewed Kodak as level 4 criminal history, paving the way for Kodak to be housed in a maximum-security facility. Cohen claims the judge only put Kodak at a level 2, which means he could be housed at a lower security prison.

Kodak's attorney's also argue he's being unfairly punished for assaulting a prison guard in Miami ... repeating their earlier claim that Kodak was set up and possibly drugged.

KB's legal team also claims he was punished twice for the incident with the guard in Miami ... Cohen says Kodak was only supposed to get a 6-month sentence, but instead ended up with year-long punishment, which has kept him in total lockdown since last September, resulting in no phone calls or visits from anyone but his attorneys.

Trump's also being asked to consider abuse Kodak's allegedly suffering in prison -- beatings at the hands of guards, religious suppression and mental abuse.

As we first told you ... Kodak's suing the Federal Bureau of Prisons for alleged torture and denial of access to a rabbi, which his attorney's claim is a violation of his constitutional rights.

Kodak's also hoping his good deeds go a long way toward swaying Trump ... Cohen cites the hundreds of thousands of dollars he's donated to charities over the years, including playing Santa, gift cards at Christmas, donations to underprivileged youth, helping folks in his neighborhood and paying for children's education.

It seems like a long shot, but there's this ... Cohen may have an in with Trump.

Kodak's attorney was a contestant on "The Apprentice" way back in 2005 and got fired. He also represented Trump's former campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, in his 2016 case.

Maskless Woman Tased, Busted at Football Game ... Cops Say Arrest is NOT About Mask

NO MASK, NO ENTRY
UPDATE

8:46 AM PT -- According to Logan PD, a cop was assigned to the game to ensure the safety of fans … including the enforcement of CDC and state rules and guidelines mandating fans wear masks while on school property.

UPDATE

But, when the cop approached the woman and told her she needed to wear her mask, cops say she told the cop she had asthma and continually refused to wear her mask.

UPDATE

The cop told the woman she would have to leave and wait outside the stadium but she refused … leading to being tased once and her arrest for criminal trespassing. The woman’s been identified as Alicia Kitts. She was charged with criminal trespassing and released at the scene. Additional charges are pending on Kitts and another female subject involved in the incident.

UPDATE

Cops want to make it crystal clear — she was NOT arrested for failing to wear a mask. She was asked to leave the premises for violating school policy … and once she refused to leave she was placed under arrest for criminal trespassing. They add Kitts resisting arrest led to the use of force. The incident remains under investigation.

A woman who refused to wear a mask at an 8th-grade football game refused to go quietly -- she fought off a cop, got tased and ultimately ... arrested.

The incident went down at a middle school in Logan, Ohio where fans in the stands, including one who was recording, were shocked as a police officer tried for minutes to arrest the anti-masker. You can hear the woman yelling, "This is bulls***" and "You're not arresting me for nothing. I ain't doing nothing wrong."

Check out the video ... when the woman -- who appeared to have a mask in her back pocket -- kept resisting, the cop tased her in the back ... and finally got handcuffs on her to haul her away.

Some of the other fans were pissed, and voiced their disapproval for the arrest "over not wearing a damn mask." The issue, legally speaking, is ... Ohio has a statewide mask mandate, and that's one of the rules that's allowed organized sports to resume there.

The school's athletic director told the Marietta Times the school hosted 300 fans for the game Wednesday and the only individuals having issues with compliance were the woman who got arrested and her mother.

Delonte West Disturbing Photo Surfaces NBA, Doc Rivers Trying To Help

Published | Updated

The NBA, Doc Rivers, Jameer Nelson and the Players Association have actively been trying to get Delonte West help ... this after a new photo surfaced showing the former star hooper in rough shape.

The viral photo -- reportedly taken recently in Dallas -- appears to show the 37-year-old former guard begging for money on the street.

The question has been ... why haven't former players and coaches stepped in and helped West?

As it turns out, TMZ Sports has learned, they've been trying for months.

Multiple sources tell us that the league, NBPA, and Delonte's former coach, Doc Rivers, and former St. Joe's college teammate, Jameer Nelson, and others have attempted to get DW much needed assistance.

FYI, West was the 24th overall pick in the 2004 NBA Draft. He played 8 NBA seasons for the SuperSonics, Mavs, Cavs and Celtics ... where he played for Rivers.

West's struggles have been well-documented ... and this isn't the first time photo or video has surfaced that has caused serious concern about West's well-being.

Back in 2016, a fan spotted Delonte outside a Jack In The Box ... and asked him if he was the former NBA star.

West responded ... "I'm not about that life anymore."

Most recently in January 2020, Delonte was captured on video involved in a street fight.

The bottom line is there are people who are desperate to help Delonte ... but he's gotta be willing to accept it.
