Trevor Noah's backing up Taylor Swift ... saying the Grammys wouldn't focus lenses on her like the NFL -- they'd go after a former player.

The comedian just took to the Grammys stage to perform his opening monologue -- during which he stayed real positive and complimentary -- before mentioning the world's biggest pop star and chastising NFL fans for blaming Taylor for the amount football broadcasts cut to her.

Noah said she doesn't control the cameras, so people need to chill out ... before insisting that every time someone mentioned Swift, he'd make sure the cameras cut to an ex-NFL player.

The camera then jumped ... to actor and "America's Got Talent" host Terry Crews, who looked totally surprised by the attention.

If you don't know, TC wasn't always an actor -- he played 32 NFL games for three teams between 1991 and 1995 ... the perfect person for TN to use in his revenge plan.

Terry cracked up ... with Noah continuing to yel; funny/harassing things at the absolutely ripped 55-year-old.

It's all in good fun and an especially topical joke ... 'cause Taylor's probably heading to the Super Bowl in Las Vegas next week -- so NFL fans can expect more Swift on their screen soon enough

BTW ... Taylor looked stunning in a flowing white dress on the red carpet -- which she was left to walk alone because of her man Travis Kelce's practice schedule.

The 66th Grammy Awards aren't off to the best start ... 'cause the Recording Academy pulled a Warren Beatty -- and Nicki Minaj fans are PISSED!!!

Here's the deal ... the Grammys don't start until 5 PM PT, but before the ceremony, the Recording Academy uses its X account to hand out some of the trophies -- basically to cut down time during the ceremony.

One of those awards ... Best Rap Song, which was won by Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice for their song "Barbie World" -- a huge moment for the rappers -- except it didn't last 'cause the Academy seemingly took it back.

You see ... the Recording Academy deleted that congratulatory tweet and posted a different one -- saying Killer Mike had actually won the trophy for his track "Scientists & Engineers" featuring André 3000, Future, and Eryn Allen Kane.

Multiple outlets are reporting KM as the real winner of the Gramophone... so it seems NM and IS are officially out of luck!

Nicki's been through this song and dance before ... she's now racked up 12 nominations without taking home a single one. She was also nominated for Best Song Written for Visual Media -- but lost that one to Billie Eilish and FINNEAS for "What Was I Made For?" When it rains, it pours!

But if anyone's taking it harder than Nicki ... it's the Barbz -- who think the whole damn ceremony is rigged.

In fact, they're so sure about this they've got #Scammys and #BarbieWorld trending on X ... basically claiming the Academy rigged the results because of Nicki's explosive beef with Megan Thee Stallion.

So is there some kinda of grand conspiracy going on, or just an honest mistake from the Recording Academy's social media manager? Let us know below.

Glen Powell's really putting all those Sydney Sweeney rumors to bed ... 'cause instead of pining over his engaged costar he's partying with tons of models!

The actor stepped out in L.A. Saturday after a Pre-Grammys bash with a few lovely ladies ... and even though he didn't say anything to the photogs waiting outside the venue he still made quite the impression on the crowd.

GP hopped in an SUV with several people including models Sienna Raine and Sarah Hands ... and, if we're being honest, a couple of his companions seemed absolutely smitten with the guy.

Just look at those faces ... big smiles and attentive eyes -- seems like Powell was the life of the party. Not exactly surprising given the dude's not only drop-dead gorgeous, but he's also hella funny to boot!

Glen's clearly moving on in the dating world ... remember, his longtime GF Gigi Paris dumped him amid speculation he was interested in Euphoria's Sydney Sweeney -- the two starred in the rom-com "Anyone But You" and on-set photos looked flirty as hell.

Of course, the pair have denied anything was going on between them ... though Sydney left some suggestive comments on Glen's IG and said she cares about him deeply -- a lot of stuff that caught fans' eyes.

Glen seems to be putting those rumors to rest -- hopefully once and for all -- here ... 'cause the man's clearly enjoying the single life after getting out of a long relationship.

President Biden hit up an L.A. hot spot beloved by celebs for lunch with his wife and son ... and, it created a traffic nightmare for some drivers.

POTUS stopped at The Ivy in Beverly Hills for some grub on Saturday afternoon along with Dr. Jill, and the First Couple met with son Hunter as well.

BTW ... The Ivy's an uber-popular restaurant in The City of Angels -- and it's in a pretty central location which meant Secret Service had to shut the streets down.

Interestingly enough though ... Secret Service agents were fine with other diners finishing up their meals in the restaurant -- some people even posted pics of the first family from inside the locale.

We’re told The Henry across the street was still packed with patrons ... where many curious customers watched on to get a glimpse of Biden.

Unclear how long the Bidens ate at the restaurant ... but we also got a shot of Joe heading to his car before driving away in his stretch limo -- looking happy after a full meal.

Biden's on a quick visit to Los Angeles ... presumably to put some more money in his war chest for the upcoming election -- which many people expect to be a knockdown, drag-out fight with ex-Prez Donald Trump.

Kanye West’s doubling down on his new mask style ... and we mean that literally ‘cause he tossed on two iconic horror movie masks for a music video shoot.

Here's the deal ... Ye stepped out Saturday alongside his wife Bianca to shoot a vid with Playboi Carti and Luka Sabbat -- and he really didn't let photogs get a shot of his face, covering it with both a Michael Myers mask and a Jason Voorhees hockey mask.

It’s a pretty bizarre style choice -- you’d think one mask would be more than sufficient for the controversial rapper -- but it seems he thought he’d benefit from a second accessory ... or maybe he just really can’t wait for Halloween.

Bianca -- clad in a clear raincoat and white bodysuit -- drove a truck with Playboi Carti and Luka Sabbat hanging out in the back. PBC's in a pretty wild outfit too ... black face paint and a white hooded outfit on.

Ye's look is real eccentric ... which some fans may chalk up to shooting a vid -- as we previously reported ... Kanye performed with Travis Scott in Orlando Wednesday in the Jason mask, so it may seem to be all a stage persona.

But, Ye also decided to accessorize with the mask when he hit up his son Saint's basketball game Friday night ... and, unless he sang "The Star-Spangled Banner" before the game, it seems he's just enjoying the look.

We've seen Kanye going with the masked-up look all over the world recently even if he usually just sticks to one -- just last week we talked to him on the street when he was in one -- but those are mostly black cloth masks.

This is more of a throwback to the masks he was donning a few years ago ... a little bulkier and more attention-grabbing.

You know what they say ... one is the loneliest number -- so why not toss on a second?!?

Shane Gillis is finally going to take the "Saturday Night Live" stage ... four years after he was fired for racist comments before his first episode.

The controversial comedian will host the show on February 24 alongside musical guest 21 Savage -- a little over four years after he was fired from the program after jokes featuring racist and homophobic slurs came to light.

As we previously reported ... SG was hired back in 2019 before a comment he made on "Matt and Shane's Secret Podcast" the previous year. You can watch the clip above ... it's pretty demeaning language.

Obviously, this comment caused a firestorm ... with an 'SNL' spokesperson saying Lorne Michaels and other execs had sat down with Shane and decided he wasn't the right fit for the show.

Shane responded at the time with the statement, "I'm a comedian who pushes boundaries. I sometimes miss. If you go through my 10 years of comedy, most of it bad, you're going to find a lot of bad misses." He also said he'd personally apologize to anyone who was offended.

Bowen Yang -- the prominent Asian American cast member of the iconic sketch show, who was hired the same year as Shane and is still on the show -- said he was going to sit down with Shane after the decision was made.

Yang will almost certainly appear alongside Gillis in the episode ... unclear if their convo ever went down or how he feels about the embattled comedian.

FWIW ... Gillis hasn't stopped saying controversial jokes over the years -- though perhaps they aren't as inflammatory as his 2018 comments.

However, he's still got fans up in arms over his hosting gig ... with many taking to social media to blast the NBC staple for allowing Shane the platform.

We'll have to wait and see if Shane addresses his firing on the show in a few weeks.

3:49 PM PT -- Mahomes Sr. was released on $10,000 bail ... according to online jail records.

Patrick Mahomes Sr. was arrested for driving while intoxicated for the third time or more ... TMZ has learned.

The 53-year-old father of Patrick Mahomes was arrested Saturday night in Texas according to online booking records. Bond is reportedly expected to be set later today.

This isn't Mahomes' first arrest for DWI ... he was also reportedly arrested back in 2019 for DWI second or more for which he was sentenced to 40 days in jail. He reportedly served the time on weekends to fulfill his requirement.

It's a pretty wild time for Mahomes Sr. to be arrested ... his son is just days away from competing against the San Francisco 49ers for a Super Bowl title.

Pat Sr. made waves earlier this month for joking he wouldn't sit next to Taylor Swift at the AFC Conference Championship game ... now, it's unclear if he will make it to the Super Bowl.

We've reached out to the Mahomes camp for comment ... so far no word back.

Taylor Swift just lost a listener, at least temporarily ... 'cause Christian McCaffrey's mom says she's turning off all Swift tracks until the Super Bowl's in the books.

Lisa McCaffrey jumped on her podcast "Your Mom" Friday to dig into the upcoming NFL championship ... and she said she's ditching the Swifty label in solidarity with her son's San Francisco 49ers.

Of course ... the Niners are taking on Travis Kelce and the Chiefs for the Lombardi Trophy next Sunday, so Swift and her fanbase are all Chiefs, all the time for the next week -- something LM can't abide.

She was complimentary of Taylor, saying how much she loves the singer-songwriter ... but the boycott's very real and Tay is "dead" to her this week.

It's an insanely expensive ticket to even get in the stadium this year ... with StubHub revealing early last week that the average ticket price was around $9,300 and boxes going for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Steph Curry did something Saturday night he's only done one time in his life -- scored 60 points during a game, and Lindsay Lohan was the beneficiary of his achievement.

Steph's Warriors lost to the Hawks in OT -- 134-141, but Steph made a little history -- he's only the 10th player in NBA history to score 60 points at least twice.

As for Lindsay, she and her hubby were right there courtside in ATL watching the game. Afterward, Steph signed his jersey and gave it to Lindsay ... the inscription reads, "Your Godparents love you! To Luai. Warriors" LiLo's one-year-old kid's name is Luai.

In case you didn't know, Steph and Ayesha are indeed the godparents to Luai. As for the connection, Lindsay and Ayesha starred together in "Irish Wish," which will be released March 15 on Netflix.

Clive Davis is reliable for sure ... it's Grammy night Sunday, and he threw his annual Pre-Grammy gala as promised Saturday night, and the stars showed up.

Megan Thee Stallion, Janelle Monáe, Paris Hilton, and Lana Del Rey were there for starters. Serena Williams, Ice Spice, Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Julia Garner and Green Day were all present. But wait, there's more ... Jay-Z, Beyonce, Scottie Pippen, Martina Navratilova, and Nancy Pelosi all made their entrances.

It's been an annual tradition since 1976, and it's been one big celebration ... except in 2012, when hours before the event, Whitney Houston died at the Beverly Hilton hotel.

Kyle Richards was sitting front and center at Morgan Wade's concert Saturday in Tennessee ... recording almost every moment of the country singer on stage.

"The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star showed up to the small auditorium at the County Music Hall of Fame in Nashville and parked herself in a second-row seat among 100 other attendees. Of course, her estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky, was nowhere in sight.

A few minutes after Kyle arrived solo to the venue, Morgan stepped on stage with her bandmate, Clint Wells, and they put on an hour-long performance.

TMZ obtained video of the gig, which captured Kyle using a cell phone to zoom in and record Morgan belting out her tunes. Our sources say Kyle seemed to enjoy the music, bopping her head to the sounds.

We're told Morgan in between tracks acknowledged her family who was also in the crowd, but not Kyle, although it was not meant as a diss.

Safe to say things are going just swimmingly for the two BFFs ... but not so much for Kyle and Mauricio.

Ayo Edebiri did a mea culpa on "SNL" Saturday night ... circuitously apologizing to JLo for throwing shade on her singing skills a few years back.

"The Bear" star took up hosting duties, but the standout moment was the "Jeopardy" skit, which was called -- "Why'd You Say It?" The contestants were confronted with mean/snarky/cruel social media posts and host Kenan Thompson demanded an explanation.

Ayo was shown a pic of a woman enjoying the rain, and, according to the skit, she had commented, "Die."  Funny enough, but Ayo said this -- "It's wrong to leave mean comments or post mean comments just for clout, or run your mouth on a podcast and you don't consider the impact because you are 24, and stupid, but I think, I speak for everyone when I say that from now on, we're gonna be a lot more thoughtful about what we post online."

Ayo didn't reference Jennifer Lopez, but it's obvious what she did here. As TMZ reported, Ayo was on the "Scam Goddess" podcast back in 2020 and called JLo's music career "one long scam," saying she could carry a note and might not sing all her tracks. There have been long-running theories on this, and Ayo played into it.

Blueface's mom, like most moms, knows exactly what her son needs in a mate ... and she's set her sights on Megan Thee Stallion!!!

We got Karlissa Saffold outside Men's Central Jail in L.A., where her son is in custody, and she told our photog she's manifesting a new woman in Blue's life ... for when he's released, of course.

Blueface has a couple baby mamas and a bunch of baddies in his life, but Karlissa wants him to trade up ... explaining why the women he's been with are weighing him down, and clearly referring to Chrisean Rock.

Karlissa says Megan's more on Blueface's level, and she's envisioning them gallivanting across Europe together.

As we've reported, Blueface is stuck behind bars until the summer at least -- the result of violating his probation for a 2021 assault -- so, Karlissa's getting a little ahead of herself, but a mother can dream!

Anyways, Karlissa is sending the vibes out into the universe, and she thinks Blueface and Megan's astrological signs are a good match, too.

Unclear if Megan feels the same way -- it's not like she has a great track record with rappers.

Kanye West is free to spew antisemitic hate because at this point it's safe to say he will never be canceled ... at least that's the feeling among some people in entertainment.

As part of our new documentary on Kanye -- premiering Monday at 9/8c on FOX -- we asked Bill Maher, The Game and Angela Yee if cancel culture will ever come for Ye ... and the answer is a resounding "NO" -- for several reasons.

Bill says the Angel of Death seems to simply pass over Kanye's house ... pun intended .. because others in Hollywood have had their careers derailed for much less egregious behavior.

The Game says it's all about Kanye's mentality ... telling us Ye doesn't fear cancel culture and thus can't fall victim ... no matter what he says, about Jewish people or otherwise.

For Angela, Kanye's already blown way past the line in the sand and at this point he would have to do something truly horrific, like committing a crime for example, to truly be canceled.

Whether it's Kanye West, Prince, Beyoncé, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, or Lionel Richie ... the Grammy Awards are always packed with tons of star power -- and more than a few "can you believe that just happened?" moments.

Big note to all stars on Grammys night ... remember to bring pants -- which may seem like an obvious piece of advice, but apparently no one told Steve Martin or Jon Stewart just how important wardrobe would be.

Check it out ... SM dropped trou at the 21st Grammys way back in 1979 while Stewart recreated the moment almost 25 years later in 2002. Nice legs, boys!

Madonna looked like a vision in red during the show's opening act in 1999 ... jamming "Nothing Really Matters" while the packed audience looked on in sheer wonder.

And, who can forget when Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas needed a damn wheelbarrow to haul all their trophies home??? Billie took home five trophies in 2020, and neither she nor Finneas could really believe what was happening.

Would it even be the Grammys without Britney Spears ... who looked so angelic in an all-white gown at the 42nd annual Grammys in 2000. She was nominated for two trophies that year, but lost on both. In fact, it would be half a decade before she finally got her first -- and only -- Grammy Award.

Most importantly, the Grammys are a party ... so let's raise a glass with Queen Bey, Adele, and superagent Rich Paul and toast to the awards show that's kicking off this Sunday at 5 PM PT only on CBS.

Move over, Jason Kelce ... Shaquille O'Neal tells TMZ Sports he's hoping to score a seat right next to Taylor Swift at Super Bowl LVIII!!

The Big Diesel made his intentions known during a chat with us this week ahead of the Big Game ... saying straight up he wants a premium chair in Swift's suite at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas next Sunday.

"Hey, Taylor!" the NBA legend said with a smile. "Love you!"

Of course, there are plenty of people who are already vying for the spot. Jason obviously has some dibs -- his brother, Travis Kelce, is playing in the game after all -- as does Brittany Mahomes ... and anyone else from Swift's girl gang for that matter.

But it seems Shaq really wants in ... even saying he'll be rooting for Travis and Kansas City during the tilt!

There's more ... we also talked to the former Lakers center about his annual Super Bowl party, Shaq's Fun House, and he said in addition to Diplo and Lil Wayne, he's expecting even more artists -- perhaps even Snoop Dogg -- to show up.
