Legendary trainer Bob Baffert has just been SUSPENDED by the Arkansas Racing Commission ... after 2 of his horses tested positive for a banned substance.
Of course, Baffert is a Hall of Famer in the sport ... and his horses have brought home the Triple Crown in 2015 (American Pharoah) and 2018 (Justify).
The 67-year-old was just hit with a 15-day suspension by the racing org. on Wednesday ... after 2 of his horses tested positive for lidocaine, a banned numbing agent.
Both horses had just won races at Oaklawn Park recently ... and the owners now have to forfeit their prize money.
Charlatan -- which won a division of the Arkansas Derby back in May -- earned $300,000 in prize money ... and Gamine's owner received a $36,000 check after placing 1st in another race earlier that day.
Baffert argued that the banned substance was transferred to the horses by accident ... after an assistant trainer applied a medical patch to his back after breaking his pelvis.
But, the excuse didn't cut it with the ARC ... which handed down the punishment beginning August 1.

6:08 AM PT -- Dan tells TMZ, "He (Heffernan) was fired for incompetence and negligence and Ignite will be bringing suit against him. His claim is not only frivolous; it is ridiculous."
Dan Bilzerian fired a whistleblower who sounded the alarm on strange spending patterns at Dan's cannabis and CBD company ... at least according to a new lawsuit.
The popular playboy poker player and cannabis sector CEO is being sued by Curtis Heffernan, who claims he was fired from his job at Dan's weed company, Ignite, after noticing some company funds were being spent on things that seemed personal ... and then blowing the whistle.
According to the lawsuit obtained by TMZ ... Heffernan, who was Ignite's Executive VP, claims he flagged tons of purchases to the company board, such as lavish spending on a $75,000 paintball field, $40k on a rock climbing wall, $60k on a 'Star Wars' gun set, $31k on pool renovations, $50k on a bed frame, $15k on a ping pong table and $88k on a vault.
In the docs, Heffernan claims Dan's company was also burning tons of money on luxury yacht rentals, plus transportation for hot models ... and he says he found other "business expenses" that turned out to be charges for groceries and various household items.
According to the suit, Heffernan claims he told the board at Ignite the company could not afford to keep spending money in the same manner during the pandemic, and in response, Dan falsely accused him of doing drugs and he got canned.
Heffernan is going after Bilzerian for damages.
We reached out to Dan ... no word back, so far.

Here are the faces of a Beverly Hills doctor and his girlfriend, who allegedly stole $52 MILLION in an elaborate scheme that preyed on sober living patients to bilk insurance companies.
Dr. Randy Rosen and his GF, Liza Vismanos, were arrested earlier this week and have been charged with a staggering amount of felonies in 2 separate cases connected to the alleged scheme.
Rosen's facing 88 felony counts in connection with recruiting and hiring numerous body brokers to find and pay patients to have medically unnecessary implant surgeries, cortisone shots and other medical testing and procedures ... according to the Orange County D.A.'s Office.
Vismanos is facing 56 felony counts as Rosen's alleged partner in the scheme. She's also the owner of the Lotus Laboratories in Los Alamitos, CA ... which Rosen allegedly used for unnecessary drug testing for his patients.
Four others have also been charged in connection with identifying and recruiting potential patients for the bogus medical procedures.
According to prosecutors ... several insurance companies were then billed for these unnecessary procedures, but not informed that patients were being trafficked and paid for these procedures. The D.A. claims the insurance companies were fraudulently billed approximately $600 million and paid out approximately $50 million.
OC D.A. Todd Spitzer says of the case ... "Vulnerable sober living patients who were trying desperately to battle their addictions were treated like human guinea pigs just to make a buck."
Both Rosen and Vismanos are still in custody. Rosen's bail's been set at $16 million and his girlfriend's at $3 million.

In the video, several cops ordered Braswell out of the Camaro that's stalled on a lake embankment ... and you can see in the clip, Jermiah struggles to walk toward cops from the water.
Eventually, Put-In-Bay PD officers are able to grab him and put him in cuffs ... and for the next several minutes, he tried to explain to them what happened.
The 23-year-old insisted he wasn't drunk "at all" ... and told the officers, "Honestly, I play for the NFL, dawg."
Braswell underwent several field sobriety tests ... and appeared to bomb them all -- badly.
Cops then threw the cuffs on him and took him to the station ... where he was booked on charges of driving while under the influence and reckless operation, per the police report.
In police photos from the scene ... you can see just how crazy Braswell's alleged drive into the lake was -- there are tire marks on the grass and debris everywhere.
NFL rookie Jermiah Braswell's time with the Arizona Cardinals is over before it even began -- the wide receiver has been cut after allegedly drunkenly driving his Camaro into Lake Erie.
The 23-year-old ex-Youngstown State star -- who signed as an undrafted free agent in April -- was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated in Put-in-Bay, OH on Saturday ... after cops found him in the driver's seat trying to move the vehicle out of the water.
According to witnesses, the Toledo native was traveling at "a very high rate of speed" on the road before the crash ... driving onto grass, off an embankment and into the water.

The NFL transaction report shows the Cards decided to part ways with the rookie on Monday ... ending his short stint with the team.

"We are extremely disappointed with the irresponsible journalism and willingness of Sports Illustrated (and others) to defame Mr. Elliott in an attempt to get readers to click on their websites."
We reached out to Sports Illustrated ... so far, no word back.
"Mr. Elliott will not tolerate slanderous conduct and intends to take the appropriate legal action to address it."
When Ezekiel Elliott said he was "low-key faded" during a Twitch stream Sunday night ... HE MEANT ON BOOZE, NOT WEED!

"Bro, I'm low-key faded, bro," Elliott said before realizing his stream was still live.
"Oh no, I didn't even end my stream yet," he said shortly after.
Some assumed "faded" meant high on marijuana -- and Sports Illustrated even ran an article saying Zeke "admits to being high."
Zeke went to social media Monday to set the record straight and he sounded pretty upset ... even threatening legal action.
"Actually I was referring to the few drinks I had which I said during the live stream. Doesn’t that make this defamation? You guys will be hearing from my lawyers @SInow."
Sports Illustrated has apparently taken the article down.
Elliott's had a rough couple of weeks -- he recently tested positive for COVID-19 but says he's mostly recovered and should be cleared to workout with the team again soon.
Hydrate, bro, it's good for a low-key hangover.

Josh Gordon's lawyer says the NFL receiver's most recent drug relapse was sparked by his brother's tragic death ... but has gotten the help he needs and is back on the right path.
The troubled 29-year-old was indefinitely suspended from the NFL back in December 2019 after failing another drug test ... adding to the long list of drug penalties since 2013.
But, Gordon is ready to prove he's back to 100% ... reportedly filing for reinstatement on Thursday.
While details surrounding Gordon's suspension weren't made available at the time, his lawyer, Adam Kenner, has revealed the devastating event that triggered the slip-up.
"Josh had a lapse because of his brother's death," Kenner said via Tom Pelissero. "That set him back. But since that time, he has realized how important it is for him to take the right steps, do what's proper, and understand how to manage these issues."
"He's installed the right team around him to make sure he's on the right path. He understands he's been given every chance. He looks forward to making the most of this."
Details on Gordon's brother's death weren't made public ... but Josh addressed his passing in a since-deleted Instagram post shortly after his death in November, saying, "Can’t put it all into words just yet, but today was one of those harder days to face."
"I love you big bro. I’m gonna miss you. This win was for you, thank you for being the best older brother any kid could have."

'Tiger King' 'Hitman' Allen Glover ... Body Cam Footage of DUI-Related Arrest
-
Exclusive Details
- 3.6K shares
10:43 AM PT -- According to Valley Brook PD … an officer was on routine patrol when he says he noticed Glover staggering across the parking lot of the Deja Vu strip club shortly after midnight before getting into his vehicle. The cop told Glover he wasn’t even in a parking spot, and asked for his ID and whether he’d been drinking.
Glover said he didn’t have his ID on him, but had been inside the club. He told the officer he had two beers, with his last drink being about an hour ago. The cop claims during his questioning, he “began detecting the extreme odor consistent and commonly associated with an alcoholic beverage” and decided to conduct some field sobriety tests.
As you can see on the body cam footage, Glover doesn’t do too well. He also tells the cops he doesn’t know his numbers or letters well due to his third-grade education … so the officer skips those tests.
Finally, Glover admits he can’t safely operate the vehicle, and is placed under arrest.
Allen Glover -- the man allegedly hired by 'Tiger King' star Joe Exotic in his failed plot to kill Carole Baskin -- is in trouble of his own now ... he got busted in Oklahoma.
Glover was arrested by Valley Brook police Sunday morning on a DUI-related charge. We're told Glover was parked in a private parking lot and someone called the cops. When officers responded, we're told Glover was in the vehicle and alert but ended up blowing a .26. We do not yet know if the vehicle was running.
He was booked on the DUI-related charge of actual physical control (APC). In Oklahoma, you can get hit with the charge for simply sitting in your vehicle with a BAC higher than .08. An APC charge is more commonly known as a non-driving DUI.
As you may recall ... we interviewed Glover about his role in Exotic's murder-for-hire case a couple months back, and he clearly suggested he had a vendetta against Joe.
Allen told us he wished he could do more to hurt Joe as payback for, as Glover said ... all the misery he caused people and animals. Glover, of course, testified that Exotic paid him $3k to kill Baskin, and his testimony was critical in Joe's conviction.
However, what he told us possibly demonstrated a bias in the case ... but so far it hasn't resulted in Exotic getting freed from prison.

Charlotte Hornets player Malik Monk -- who was suspended for violating the league's anti-drug policy -- was reinstated during the league's COVID-19 hiatus, the team announced on Monday.
22-year-old Monk was suspended without pay on Feb. 26 ... and the reason behind the punishment was never made public. All we know is he violated the terms of the NBA/NBPA Anti-Drug Program.
Hornets GM Mitch Kupchak revealed Monk's suspension has been over for "a while" during his end of the year conference call with the media ... saying the guard has been back with the team and training at the practice facility.

Monk -- a star at Kentucky -- put a string of solid performances together prior to his suspension ... but with the Hornets not being part of the league's 22-team plan to return to action, he won't see the court again until next season.
