Glen "Big Baby" Davis' hoop days may be over, but he's still shooting his shot ... at Lizzo!!!

It all went down on the "ALL THE SMOKE" podcast ... when the former NBA star, who's been showing the female rapper mad love on his IG page, was asked if Lizzo was his celebrity crush.

"Yeah, I wanna do something with her," Davis told hosts Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes.

"Yeah, I wanna do something with Lizzo. I ain't even gon' lie. I just like her personality."

With that said, Jackson and Barnes let Davis take over the camera and send a message to the "About Damn Time" artist.

"Lizzo, I'm talking to you. I'm reaching out. I done see you a couple of times, I ain't really say nothing, but ... I need you."

"I need you! Your energy -- I feel like you and me together is a hell of a combination and we represent for the big people."

Davis added, "I think you're awesome, you beautiful and you know ... I like that!"

Now, we're unsure if Big Baby's aware, but Lizzo recently went public with her new boyfriend, comedian Myke Wright. The couple made an appearance together at a red carpet event for her Amazon series "Watch Out for the Big Grrrls."

In fact, just a day after Davis' interview, Lizzo spoke about her relationship status on "The Breakfast Club" ... saying her new bae makes her laugh.

Latto is using her buzzing platform to make a political statement against the Supreme Court overturning of Roe v. Wade with a simple and direct title diss track ... "P***Y."

There's nothing subtle about Latto's lyrical ripping of SCOTUS, starting with her song's exotic artwork. Yeah, that seems to be pink hot lava spewing from ... well, you get it.

The music video uses images from some of the protests that have broken out across the country since the landmark decision ... and it also features Latto surrounded by lots and lots of cats as she raps to lawmakers -- "How you ain't got a p***y, but got opinions on p***y?/ That's p***y/ My ovaries ain't for you to bully!"

During the initial promo run earlier in the week, Latto fended off fans angry she was using Roe v. Wade to further her career.

Apparently, a rapper speaking on social justice issues is still a wild concept for some people.

The song also samples the late R&B pioneer Betty Wright as they scold "little boys" for making grown-women decisions.

Latto's been spitting with "Big Energy" all year ... with that particular hit song -- her biggest to date -- helping her win Best New Artist at last month's BET Awards.

Nick Cannon's sending shockwaves through social media feeds, appearing to propose to one of his lady friends ... just days after he openly yearned for his ex-wife Mariah Carey.

This hugged-up pic with someone who looks a little like Bre Tiesi -- although, we're told it's not her -- included the caption, "I said I would never do it again but…Finally doing what the world wants me to do…"

His post also had a shot of a massive diamond ring.

The post threw Lil Jon and even Nick's former publicist for a loop in the comments section ... especially since Nick recently admitted all his baby mothers don't always see eye to eye.

Of course, Nick being the ultimate hustler of promotion, is more likely simply setting the stage for his "I Do" single rollout, which features Chris Brown.

Released in May as part of his latest album "The Explicit Tape: Raw & B," the song opens up virtually the same way with Nick admitting his dreams of marriage haven't completely faded and Breezy crooning heavy in the melody.

Boosie Badazz claims the car he was riding in got pulled over and cuffed because he's famous ... but cops in Georgia say the traffic stop wasn't a case of the hip hop police hard at work.

Here's the deal -- Boosie was riding shotgun in a black Cadillac SUV when police pulled the car over for heavy window tint and concealed tags. During the traffic stop, officers handcuffed the rapper ... which sent Boosie on a wide-ranging rant against police, at one point saying he was being targeted because he's a celeb.

Fairburn Police Department Deputy Chief Anthony Bazydlo tells TMZ ... the officer who slapped the cuffs on Boosie says it was for officer safety.

We're told police were planning to search the car, claiming they smelled marijuana, and the chief says it's common for folks to be cuffed when cops are searching a car.

As for Boosie's claims he was being targeted because of his celebrity, Bazydlo says that's not the case ... telling us the car's temporary license plate, which was allegedly obstructed and couldn't be checked, was the main reason for the stop.

We're also told the officer involved in the stop claims Boosie's criminal history did not play a role in him being cuffed.

William "Poogie" Hart, the Grammy-award-winning lead singer of the R&B band The Delfonics, has died, TMZ has learned.

His son, Hadi, tells TMZ ... William was having trouble breathing so he was recently taken to Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, where he passed away Thursday from complications during surgery.

William and his brother, Wilbert, launched the Philly-based group in the late '60s with Randy Cain, Ritchie Daniels and Thom Bell. The group would have a major impact on the development of the Philadelphia sound, known as T.S.O.P.

William and Thom exclusively wrote all of the songs, including such hits as "La-La (Means I Love You)," "Didn't I (Blow Your Mind This Time)," "Break Your Promise," "I'm Sorry," and "Ready or Not Here I Come (Can't Hide from Love)."

In 1971, The Delfonics won a Grammy Award for "Didn't I (Blow Your Mind This Time)" for Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group, Vocal Or Instrumental.

'Didn't I' and 'La-La' were also featured in Quentin Tarantino's film "Jackie Brown." Other movies that have popularized their music were Spike Lee's "Crooklyn" and "The Family Man" with Nicolas Cage.

Their songs "Ready or Not Here I Come (Can't Hide from Love)" and "Funny Feeling" were played in the video game "Grand Theft Auto V" on a fictional radio station The Lowdown 91.1.

The original band split in 1975 after achieving twelve top-20 hits on Billboard's R&B and Soul Single Chart. Former members created splinter groups that continued to perform through the '90s and 2000s.

William was 77.

Not everyone is here for Ray J's newest leg tattoo ... a homage to his sister, Brandy, but he's got quite a few words for all those haters.

We caught Ray at LAX Thursday and he proudly told us all about his fresh ink, while also delivering a message to the people sounding off, largely in disapproval, of the piece.

The "Sexy Can I" singer told us ... he got the tattoo of Brandy to show his love and appreciation for her. Ray J says, without her he wouldn't be who he is today.

And, he clearly wasn't phased by the standard social media shots, some of which -- hilariously -- came from Brandy!

Ray says she was a bit uneasy about the style of the tat -- which depicts Brandy with blood-red eyes and the words "Best friends 4 ever" on her face -- but he likes it and that's all that matters to him.

In fact, he doubles down saying anybody who doesn't approve is trippin'. In simpler terms ... "It's my leg, and my sister".

When Ray posted the image of his tattoo, he called it the "holy leg" and said it was "real gothic-like." For anyone asking, he says that's just the artist's style.

Of course, this comes a few months after Jack Harlow admitted he didn't know Ray J and Brandy were siblings, which stunned lots of folks on social media ... given that Brandy helped Ray J start his career.

Before this munchkin getting washed up was known for her rapping skills, she was just blowing bubbles, making big splashes and growing up in Santa Clara, California.

She tapped into the music industry by posting her talents on Instagram. Just years later, her song "Icy Grl" made big waves and accrued millions of views on YouTube. The rap star sensation has collaborated with other icons in the music industry including Post Malone and DaBaby.

‘Beatbox’ rapper SpotemGottem is officially facing criminal charges now for what cops viewed as his attempt to jet ski his way to freedom in Florida a couple weeks ago.

Florida's State Attorney just charged the 20-year-old rapper with felony attempting to elude a law enforcement officer in a boat, and misdemeanor reckless operation of a vessel.

This marks young Spotem's 2nd high-profile arrest in his short career ... which, so far, is highlighted by the remix of his smash "Beat Box" hit with DaBaby, Pooh Shiesty and NLE Choppa.

In July 2021, he was arrested on gun charges in Florida for allegedly chilling with an AK-47.

Kanye West and his team continued to string a production company along with unfulfilled promises of payment, which eventually swelled up to more than $7 million ... according to the company, which is now suing Ye.

According to the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Phantom Labs says they worked on multiple large-scale projects with Kanye between June 2021 to March 2022. Among the ventures were 4 weeks of Sunday Service, a listening event for "Donda 2," the "Free Larry Hoover" show with Drake and his canceled 2022 Coachella performance.

Phantom, repped by attorney Howard King, says at first, Ye and team were good about making payments -- but it wasn't long before bills started to pile up -- and by February 2022, they say they were owed over $6 million.

The docs say Ye had allegedly promised to settle his debt with Phantom, using the reported $9 million he was supposed to make at Coachella, but when he unexpectedly canceled on the festival, Phantom says it became clear, Ye wasn't going to pay.

Phantom says in addition to the $6 million tab Ye already had with the company, they were hit with another $1.1 million in Coachella-related cancelation fees they also want Ye to cover.

TMZ broke the story, Kanye backed out of Coachella less than 2 weeks before the festival kicked off. While the reason behind his cancelation still isn't totally known, he made the decision after a rough few months which saw him lash out against Kim Kardashian.

The Weeknd and Swedish House Mafia eventually filled Kanye's headlining spot, and got a ton of praise for an incredible performance.

LL Cool J just gave us a tour of the $1 million-plus per week yacht he and Magic Johnson -- along with a slew of other celebs like Samuel L. Jackson -- have been living their best life on ... and, as expected, it's incredible!!

The hip-hop legend joined the 62-year-old Lakers legend and wife, Cookie, aboard a $150K a day, 279 ft. luxury yacht for Magic's annual summer vacay ... which dates back to at least 2017.

Sure, there are photos of the yacht ... but up until now, you could really only imagine how the famous guests were living aboard the lavish yacht.

LL starts the tour by showing his room, the master suite, and the incredible view they have from one of the decks on the boat - with a jacuzzi nearby, of course.

Shield your eyes, Nick Young ... Blueface just shared new training video, and the rap star looks pretty sharp, sending his sparring partner to the canvas with big hooks to the head.

And, the "Thotiana" rapper can crack!

Of course, he's boxing former 37-year-old, 12-year NBA vet Nick Young -- aka Swaggy P -- on July 30 at Crypto.com Arena ... a fight card that also features matchups between Le'Veon Bell and Adrian Peterson.

Austin McBroom is putting on the event ... and will anchor the card against social media star AnEsonGib.

On Wednesday, Blueface hit up Kaminsky Boxing Gym in L.A. ... and got some work in with a sparring partner.

In the minute and a half clip, Blueface -- a southpaw -- shows good head movement and a snappy jab. It's far from total domination, but the rapper clearly won the half-round.

Perhaps that shouldn't be a surprise, 'cause it's not Blueface's first fight. He dominated TikToker Kane Trujillo during their bare-knuckle boxing match in July 2021. For good measure, he also tuned up a "fan" who crashed the ring.

Travis Barker is fully back after a major health scare ... he jumped on stage with his bud Machine Gun Kelly to perform at a wild concert.

Travis took to the drums Wednesday night at The Forum in Inglewood during MGK's show -- part of Kelly's Mainstream Sellout tour. Trav got roaring cheers as he walked on stage, shirtless of course.

MGK also calls out their online haters before rockin' out, saying "If we would've listened to what the Internet f***ing said about us, we would've never made this album."

As we reported, Travis has been moving back into business mode ever since he was released from the hospital ... shortly after his release he headed into a Calabasas studio to record some tunes.

Boosie Badazz ended up in handcuffs during a Georgia traffic stop, which threw him into a rage, and we've obtained the wild body cam footage of the incident.

According to cops, Boosie was the passenger in a black Cadillac SUV on Wednesday morning with a 19-year-old man named De’Shun Lawrence … when they got pulled over for heavy window tint and concealed tags.

Cops claim they smelled marijuana, so they searched the vehicle and found a large bag of cash and a bag of weed ... and that's when they cuffed Boosie and Lawrence and told them to stand on the side of the ride.

It looks like Boosie reached his breaking point while waiting for the cops to finish up, and honestly, if not for the handcuffs … he might have broken something for real!

He barked at the officers, telling them he was only living in rural Georgia to get AWAY from police activity and he was a lover, not a fighter. He then fumed about the nearly 6 years he lost in prison -- before being found innocent -- and promised to raise hell ... be it with his fists, his spit or legit legal action.

Things also took a bizarre turn when he ranted about having 35 women at his house, at that very moment, performing sex acts. Yeah, Boosie was on one!

The intensity finally came down when Lawrence claimed ownership of the weed -- he was cited, and then he and Boosie were released. You can see Boosie’s mood lighten instantly.

"Stranger Things" star Noah Schnapp came under a lot of fire for leaking DMs between himself and Doja Cat -- but says he's already apologized and things are all good between the two.

17-year-old Schnapp took to TikTok Wednesday night to give an update on the situation between him and DC ... saying, "Guys everything is all good I apologized and I still follow her and love her music no hard feelings ❤️❤️". Doja's song "Kiss Me More" plays in the background of the video.

If you weren't following along, Schnapp had recently posted a private exchange between him and Doja where she was asking about his "Stranger Things" costar, Joseph Quinn, seemingly wanting to go on a date or get set up through Noah.

Doja didn't appreciate Noah's posting, saying it was some "weasel s***" ... but she did acknowledge Noah was young, and said everyone makes and learns from mistakes.

Alex Rodriguez is clearly at peace more than a year after officially breaking things off with Jennifer Lopez ... he said this week he's now very happy and has "no regrets" over how anything went down with the entertainment icon.

The former MLB superstar explained it all to Martha Stewart on her "The Martha Stewart Podcast" Wednesday ... saying "life is good" post-J Lo.

"You know, Martha, thank goodness, no regrets," Rodriguez said. "Life is good. I'm very fortunate."

A-Rod and Lopez began dating back in 2017 -- and the couple became quite serious in the ensuing months.

The two intertwined their families and children -- and in 2019, the couple became engaged.

In 2021, however, they split ... but Rodriguez made it clear Wednesday there's no bad blood between the two whatsoever.

"Look, we had a great time," the 46-year-old said. "But, more importantly, we always put the kids front and center in everything we do."

Rodriguez went on to call Lopez "the most talented human being I've ever been around."

"Hardest worker," he said. "And I think she is the greatest performer, live performer in the world today that's alive."

Britney Spears' father can't dodge her attorney Mathew Rosengart anymore ... a judge has ruled Jamie Spears will be grilled about the conservatorship.

The ruling came down Wednesday in Los Angeles, and as you know ... Britney's dad and Rosengart have been going back and forth for months on this issue. Jamie has insisted that his lawyers be allowed to depose his daughter as well.

On that matter, the judge was prepared to deny the motion to compel Britney to be deposed -- but after hearing arguments, decided to put off a final ruling until July 27.

As for Jamie's deposition ... we don't know yet when it will happen, but we know Rosengart has been very vocal about wanting him to hand over documents and answer questions about how the conservatorship was operated under his watch.

In particular, he's claimed Jamie blew way too much of Brit's money. Rosengart also wants to interrogate him about cameras and listening devices being placed in Britney's room.

Jamie's argument for Britney being deposed centers on the fact she's made so many accusations about how he's treated her -- such as claiming he forced her into rehab and wouldn't allow her to get married -- and he deserves to question her under oath about those allegations.
