Tigers' Josh Harrison Heading To IL ... 'Cause Of Fantasy Heckler?!
Is this interaction the reason Josh Harrison went straight from the diamond to the injured list this week!?!
Seems like a decent possibility ... 'cause just 24-or-so hours after a fan begged Harrison to steal more bags for his fantasy team -- Josh got injured running the bases!!!
Here's the deal ... the Tigers played the Mets in New York on Sunday -- and as Harrison was boarding the team bus ... a fan stopped him for a fist bump and a small request.
"I got you on my fantasy team and if it's not too much to ask, more stolen bases."
Harrison shrugged off the guy with a smile, saying, "I'm just worried about wins right now!"
BUT ... during Detroit's game against Baltimore on Monday -- Harrison stole third base in the ninth inning (only his 3rd steal of the season) -- and he had to leave with an injury right after!!!
Detroit now says the stud infielder is heading to the IL with a hamstring strain ... and it's got us all wondering -- IS FANTASY BASEBALL TO BLAME?!?!?!

Kristaps Porzingis Reportedly Cleared By Mavs ... In Latvia Fight Probe
5/12/19
The Dallas Mavericks have reportedly wrapped up their investigation into that Kristaps Porzingis fight in Latvia ... and concluded he was just "in the wrong place at the wrong time."
TMZ Sports posted video showing the 7'3" superstar bloodied and pissed off on May 12 outside of a bar in his home country, after apparently being jumped.
Our sources told us the attackers were a bunch of Russians who were pissed off that Porzingis had been traded from the Knicks to Dallas.
There were reports that Porzingis may have suffered a broken hand in the melee -- but the Dallas Morning News says they spoke with a team source who says that's not true and his hands are fine.
DMN is also reporting that team officials spoke "at length" with Porzingis who insisted he was truly an innocent victim who was just in the wrong place at the wrong time ... and the team is buying his story.
Of course, the NBA could step in and punish Porzingis -- so he's not out of the woods -- but this definitely bodes well for him.
KP was traded from the Knicks to the Mavs during the 2018-19 season but didn't play as he continues to recover from a knee injury. He's expected to have a major role on the team next season.

Dennis Rodman Accused of Slap Attack ... Cops Investigating
Dennis Rodman allegedly slapped a man at his own birthday party in Florida last week ... and cops say the key witness in the case is DAVID LEE ROTH!!!
... unfortunately, it's just not THAT David Lee Roth.
It's all spelled out in the police report obtained by TMZ Sports ... in which the Delray Beach Police Dept. describe an alleged battery on May 17 at the Buddha Sky Bar.
The alleged victim is 30-year-old Jeff Soulouque -- who says he was hanging at the party when Dennis "unprovokedly turned around and smacked him," right in the face.
Soulouque claims Rodman immediately began apologizing for the incident and invited him out to dinner the following night in an attempted peace offering.
But, Soulouque tells TMZ Sports he was really hurt -- and went to the hospital where he was diagnosed with a left corneal abrasion. He went to cops the day after the incident and filed a report.
Cops launched an investigation and called up a witness named David Lee Roth -- who, shockingly, is NOT the Van Halen singer. Still, cops say DLR corroborated Soulouque's story.
"Roth stated he was about twenty feet away and he saw Rodman turn around and open hand smack Soulouque two times," the report states.
Cops are now on the hunt for video of the incident and have listed Rodman as an official suspect in an alleged battery.
As for Rodman, his attorney, Lorne Berkeley, denies his client slapped anyone, telling TMZ Sports ... “I’ve spoken with people who were with Dennis the entire night of the alleged incident at Buddha Sky Bar. No one saw any such incident occur and Dennis was sober the entire night.”
“Currently the matter is in its preliminary stages but we fully expect after a thorough investigation that no such incident will be substantiated. Dennis denies any such incident occurred.”
It's just the latest in a string of bizarre incidents involving the NBA legend -- who is also being investigated in California for his role in an alleged clothing heist at a Newport Beach yoga studio.

George described the horrific accident to The Hollywood Reporter, saying he was doing 70 MPH when he smashed into a Mercedes-Benz sedan. He immediately noticed his helmet had split and assumed he'd suffered a fatal neck injury.
Considering how nasty it looked on video... George is right. Good call to hang up the riding gloves and helmet. He describes it in the vid, starting at 31:35.
As we reported ... George was tossed about 20 feet in the air on the island of Sardinia when his scooter was cut off by the Mercedes.
Pretty miraculously, he was back on set just 4 days later in Sardinia to shoot his Hulu series, "Catch 22." Chauffeur-driven, we're guessing.

Copeland was originally hit with 4 criminal charges including felony assault, domestic violence, obstruction of telephone and child abuse (because the altercation allegedly took place in front of their son).
But now, a court official tells TMZ Sports ... Copeland appeared in court on Tuesday and cut a plea deal with prosecutors.
Long story short ... Copeland pled guilty to 2nd and 3rd-degree assault and in exchange, the other charges were dropped.

MMA Star Sage Northcutt Surgery for 8 Fractures ... After MMA Knockout
Sage Northcutt was destroyed way more than anyone thought after a 29-second, first-round knockout in his ONE Championship debut -- turns out he suffered 8 fractures and was in surgery for 9 hours to repair the damage.
Northcutt posted a horrific pic of the aftermath ... hooked up to all sorts of stuff post-op in the hospital.
Sage's debut was a disaster ... the 23-year-old took a devastating punch at the hands of Cosmo Alexandre to the face, sending him to the canvas with a thunderous face plant. Clearly, the punch did damage, but the face plant may have exacerbated things.
He posted the hospital pic, saying, "Fresh out of surgery ... I had 8 fractures and a nine hour intense operation. Feeling blessed for the amazing care and all the support from ONE championship, my family/friends and fans!"
It's surprising ... because Sage got up under his own power and stood there as the ref raised Alexandre's hand and declared him the winner.
Sage was cut from the UFC after a lackluster run ... UFC honcho Dana White said Northcutt just didn't cut muster and needed to work on his game.
No word -- obviously -- on Sage's future ... whether or when he'll return to ONE championship.

Garden Bros Circus Acrobat Dodged Death, But Will Need Surgery ... Hopeful for Comeback
4:40 PM PT -- Carlos' surgery went well and he was released from the hospital.
The Garden Bros Circus performer who nearly front flipped into a deadly fall during a steel pendulum act is about to go under the knife.
TMZ's learned the 31-year-old acrobat, named Carlos, initially thought he'd escaped unscathed after that nasty fall he suffered Monday night in Toledo. Carlos tells us he had a series of tests and scans immediately after the accident that didn't show any major injury.
Then on Wednesday, further testing revealed a fracture in his left foot near the ankle.
Carlos says doctors recommended surgery, requiring a plate and screws to set everything in place, and it'll be about 6 weeks before he can walk on the foot afterward. He's nervous but hopeful ... saying he plans to return to performing, because it's all he's done since he was 17.
Despite the fact several spotters failed to break his fall, Carlos says he doesn't blame anyone for the scary mishap -- he's chalking it up to timing and says it was just an accident. He doesn't really remember what went wrong ... he's just thankful he landed feet first and not on his head.
His surgery is scheduled for later Thursday, and Carlos says Garden Bros is covering the medical costs.

10:55 AM PT -- A rep for the show tells us the performer got X-rays and results confirmed nothing was broken. He will get an MRI later Tuesday ... and he'll be sore for a while.
Crazy video here of a circus acrobat who plummeted to the ground in the middle of a dangerous, death-defying act ... bringing the circus to an abrupt halt -- but the miracle is somehow the guy survived.
The acrobat was part of the Garden Bros Circus performing in Toledo, Ohio Monday night at the Huntington Center. In this exclusive footage, obtained by TMZ, you can see the guy and his partner pulling insane moves in and outside of giant spinning wheels -- kinda like human hamsters, if hamsters could do flips.
The crowd screamed in horror though when one of the guys slipped while doing a front flip on top of the spinning wheel. He did not stick the landing and crashed to the ground.
Fortunately for him, the fall happened as his end of the apparatus was closer to the ground ... as opposed to its highest point, which seems to have seriously helped the dude. Spotters couldn't do much to break his fall.
His partner eventually got out of his own wheel and rushed down a ladder to help.
Paramedics quickly responded too ... and according to Huntington Center brass, the performer was released from a hospital with minor injuries. As of now, he's set to return for Tuesday night's show.
