Here's how desperate it's getting ... medical professionals in England are so strapped for supplies, nurses are now wearing trash bags to protect themselves from the coronavirus.
The pic was snapped at Northwick Park Hospital in London. The hospital declared an emergency Thursday after it was filled to capacity in the critical care unit.
One of the nurses in the photo said, "We are so disheartened with what we face day by day, night by night." Doctors and nurses are begging for proper gowns, masks and gloves.
Six people have died at the hospital and dozens are in ICU.
This is a sign of the times everywhere ... in the U.S. there's been talk of doctors and nurses using scarves if masks aren't available.
The obvious problem ... when medical professionals get the disease but are asymptomatic, they can spread it to a large number of people, including other medical professionals.
Drake is on the list of asymptomatic celebs who somehow got the test, despite the fact that many have found it next to impossible to get one when they don't show symptoms, and often, even when they do.
It's unclear how basketball teams and others are getting the test, but it's certainly not surprising.
Howie Mandelhas a warning for anyone even thinking of interacting with him ... and all you need to do to heed the warning is take a hard look at his noggin.
The famed "AGT" germophobe took a stroll Friday with the words "Do Not Disturb" emblazoned on his hat.
Howie's gotta be having a hard time dealing with the coronavirus pandemic ... for decades he's had blinding fear of contracting illnesses .... some of that fear was phantom, but this is starkly real.
You'll recall, we got Howie out a week ago -- before "AGT" was shut down -- and he wasn't taking any chances. There's a good reason, too -- his fellow-"AGT" judge Heidi Klum took ill on the set and went home. Last we heard she hadn't gotten results from her coronavirus test.
BTW ... Howie's allowed to take a walk and get some exercise, as long as he keeps his distance. That shouldn't be a problem.
Just because these folks are famous doesn't mean they're organized ... and you're about to get an inside look into some of these celeb messes!
With everyone hanging around their homes -- and doing some serious social distancing -- it seems like the right time for everyone to get into the spring cleaning spirit.
We're here to get you pumped up and ready to get organizing ... And just know that you're not the only one in need of some tidying! Take a look through our gallery of celebrity messy room selfies, and see for yourself just how clustered these stars can be!
One of the big problems with the coronavirus is not knowing if the person you're interacting with has it ... which underscores how EMT's are among the heroes of the pandemic.
Check out the video ... a man was sleeping on a subway train Friday when he suffered a seizure. He let out a scream, which some say sounded like a gasp, and then his arms flailed as he clearly needed medical attention.
Medical attention he got, thanks to the folks who gave him emergency care. We're told he had a seizure and did NOT have coronavirus. Nevertheless, the EMTs didn't know that and even though they had protective gear on ... it's still heroic.
The man was taken to the hospital and we're told he's conscious.
Equinox may be locked up tight as a drum right now, but it's not stopping the fitness chain from offering advice on how to stay sane and even calm during the coronavirus crisis -- have lots of sex in different configurations ... depending on your circumstances.
Honchos at the gym have rolled out their latest tip -- "Have an Orgasm Before Bed." To be clear ... it's not just for pleasure. The tip reads, "Whether with a partner or solo, having an orgasm can relieve anxiety and help you sleep better. That's thanks to their ability to increase endorphins and oxytocin, lowering levels of cortisol."
And there's this ... "Even the routine surrounding sex and masturbation can create a chill mood. So, light those candles or cue up some audio erotica ..."
Equinox is known for its provocative ads shot by famous fashion photogs.
BTW ... Equinox is offering regular tips to its members.
President Trumpis getting chewed out by the deaf community, which feels it's getting screwed out of critical info during his daily coronavirus briefings.
Americans stuck at home are relying on the White House for the latest COVID-19 info, but when the Prez holds court with his cabinet members and Dr. Anthony Fauci, one person's missing ... an ASL interpreter.
Stephanie Cawthon of the National Deaf Center on Postsecondary Outcomes tells TMZ ... members from the deaf and hearing-impaired have fired off some requests to Trump, including the use of a single ASL interpreter when he's at the podium discussing the pandemic. The National Association of the Deaf also sent a letter to the White House.
She says they've gotten no response, so far, and they're frustrated.
In addition to an ASL interpreter at all public health announcements, we're told the deaf and hearing-impaired want improved closed-captioning and better graphics to relay virus updates.
Previously, the President has sporadically used ASL translators during news conferences and the State of The Union. Deaf and hearing-impaired groups tell us it's way more crucial Trump uses one now because so many American lives hang in the balance.
FYI, some governors and mayors have been using ASL interpreters during their coronavirus news conferences -- notably Cali's Gov. Gavin Newsom and L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti.
We reached out to the White House for comment, but so far ... radio silence.
Police in 2 of America's biggest cities on lockdown are concerned coronavirus guidelines might also bring a rise in crime ... but they're ready to crack down.
TMZ spoke with several law enforcement sources in both L.A. and NYC, and we've been told cops are on high alert for scumbags looking to take advantage of the situation ... especially potential burglars.
Truth is, with so manybusinesses shut down ... retail shops, offices, clubs, bars, restaurants, liquor stores and more are extra vulnerable to break-ins. Not only are empty stores ripe for burglaries, but with hardly anybody on the streets ... there are no witnesses to thwart perps or help bust 'em, especially at night.
Because of this, our L.A. law enforcement sources say it's increasing patrols and police visibility all over the city and county, adding undercover units and keeping in contact with owners of establishments and community leaders as much as possible.
We're told officers in NYC have similarly been instructed to keep an eye out for wannabe burglars ... particularly during the overnight hours between midnight and 5 AM.
However, our NYPD sources say although there is a high-level of concern for a crime wave ... it's too early to tell if there's a spike. Regardless, we're told cops are doing everything in their power to keep businesses safe during this already difficult time.
On the bright side ... celebs and athletes who've been getting their houses ransacked in recent years should hopefully get a reprieve ... presuming they're all quarantining at home like the rest of us.
Donovan McNabbis all for that ... the legendary NFL QB tells TMZ Sports he thinks Jameis is the perfect replacement for TB12 in Foxborough.
"I think he would kind of flourish in the New England offense," McNabb says.
As for why ... Donovan tells us he thinks Josh McDaniels and Bill Belichick could finally get Winston to stop throwing interceptions -- something the ex-Bucs QB did 30 TIMES last season.
"It'd be more dink-and-dunk, protect the football," McNabb tells us, "and all a sudden, we're talking about New England again possibly winning the AFC East."
The signing wouldn't be all that crazy ... Winston is likely open to a team-friendly deal now that most QB-needy teams are full -- and the Pats certainly could use his talent level on their depleted QB roster.
So, could it happen? Maybe ... but McNabb tells us if it doesn't, there's one other name he thinks Belichick should go after this offseason.
The coronavirus outbreak is creating a boon for an erectile dysfunction product ... because couples apparently really want to get down while they're cooped up at home.
Here's the deal ... sales for The Rocket, a soundwave therapy device clinically proven to reverse the root cause of E.D., are through the roof as more and more cities go on 24-hour virus lockdown ... according to company honchos.
We're told the company saw their second-biggest sales day ever last weekend -- behind only Christmas Eve -- and Internet sales were up 20% this week overall.
So, who is behind the sales surge?!? We're told it's mostly adult men, but even some women are taking the initiative -- gotta love those go-getters!!!
FYI ... The Rocket is a home acoustic wave device that sends shocks to a male's private area to help with stimulation, and typical treatments take 20-25 minutes and are recommended once a week for 12 weeks to get results.
The best part ... you can still have sex during the 12-week process, if you can get it up ... and most folks have plenty of time on their hands these days.
Remember, Dr. Oz is recommending plenty of sex to isolated couples. so they don't go stir-crazy during the outbreak ... and it seems folks are willing to try anything to make it happen.
This will definitely make ya wanna kiss the sky -- a bunch of guitars played or owned by some of rock's biggest legends are up for auction.
The folks over at Gotta Have Rock and Roll are auctioning off a slew of famous guitars played and/or owned by the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin founder Jimmy Page, Duane Allman, Eric Clapton and Keith Richards, among others.
Hendrix's 1967 electric guild Starfire V cherry guitar, leftie of course, is the priciest ... with a starting minimum bid of $250,000. It's expected to fetch upwards of $400k, and was used by Hendrix in May 1968 when he and Frank Zappa played an impromptu concert ... at a bar after a festival rainout
The guitar's in mint condition and the auctioneers have documentation of authenticity and a pic of Jimi shredding with it.
There's also Jimmy Page's burgundy Fender Stratocaster, which is expected to fetch around $150k. He used the guitar for several gigs when he stayed in Nevada in late May/early June 1991. Legend has it ... Jimmy strolled into a venue and a guitarist from a band performing there introduced himself. Jimmy ended up jamming with them several times.
Duane Alman's Fender Coronado II guitar is also expected to rack up $150k ... Keith Richards' Gibson Flying V might go for about $125k ... while Eric Clapton's custom-made Taylor Sunburst guitar could nab $40k.
Kamaru Usman tells TMZ Sports ... he was all set to fight Jorge Masvidalin July -- until the coronavirus killed those plans. But he's still ready to hand out another ass-whooping, stat!
So, while the UFC tries to line up the next fight for the UFC welterweight champ -- he's talking mad trash to Masvidal, Colby Covington and of course ... Conor McGregor.
First ... Masvidal.
"Honestly, if I'm being honest, do I believe that he deserves the fight next? No, I don't think that he deserves the fight. But at the same time, he's got the hype right now."
"He seriously thinks he's a superstar. He's talking about how I'm the most famous fighter, I'm more famous than Conor and this and that. You are drinking your own Kool-Aid right now. He forgets that literally less than a year ago or two years ago he was just 'Journeyman George.'"
"Now you lost some weight, did a little Spanish reality show and came back and now he thinks he's just Jacques Cousteau or something. My man, relax!"
Next ... Colby.
Remember, Kamaru beat Colby's ass back at UFC 245 in December. Covington wants a rematch.
"Colby I'll be more than happy to put another cannon to your face. Easy as that."
And Conor?
"I'd be crazy if I said I didn't want that fight because Conor is one of those guys that's transcended the sport."
"And of course, I think people would love to see me go in there and spank him any way that I want. So, that's a fight that I always want."
"So, if Conor's feeling froggy that fight could happen anytime. So, that's a wild card right there, that could happen any time. If he's feeling froggy, if he wakes up on the right side of the bed and is like 'You know what? I want to get my ass beat today!' ... that fight could happen any time."
Kamaru wraps up with a special message to Colby and Jorge ... you don't wanna miss that.
Do not let these two almost identical images of Joel McHale have you headed in the wrong direction ... Stay focused and keep and eye out for the sneaky switches that have been made to this tricky pic!
The comedian was spotted loading up on supplies at a farmers market in Los Angeles just last week and we decided to make a few changes to the photo ... Take a really good look here and see if you have what it takes to spot the differences between these two super-similar snaps!
**HINT -- There are THREE differences in the above photographs!**
Rob Gronkowski made his first appearance on SmackDown on Friday ... and the dude went BONKERS right out of the gate!!
Gronk's BFF Mojo Rawleygrabbed the mic at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando and gave Rob one of the greatest, most hype intros ever ... despite the fact there were no fans in the stands (because of the COVID-19 pandemic).
The music came on, Gronk busted out into the arena ... AND DANCED HIS ASS OFF!
He even grinded on one of the turnbuckles!!
Once the former New England Patriots tight end made it inside the ring, he took the mic and got even MORE turned up!
"Let me tell you something," Gronk said to the empty arena ... "I've been watching [WWE] since 2nd grade!"
Gronk even joked that despite "zero" people in the stands, "I'm still hype baby!!"
Later on, there was some good ol' fashioned trash talk from Baron Corbin -- who roasted Gronk for being injury-prone ... "I know you know something about getting hurt."
The gloves are off, baby!!!
Next up for Gronk ... he's hosting "WrestleMania 36" -- a 2-night event starting on April 4th which will also take place at multiple locations -- including WWE's training center in Orlando -- with only essential personnel in attendance.
By the way, Orlando is only 85 miles from Tampa Bay ... where Gronk's buddy Tom Brady is starting his new job. Maybe he'll pop over and say hi? Sign a new contract maybe?
Plastic surgeons can help a real cause ... donating much-needed medical equipment to help doctors combat the coronavirus.
TMZ's obtained this letter penned by the California Medical Association and sent to several prominent Beverly Hills plastic surgeons -- along with the rest of the state's outpatient surgery/procedural facilities -- to urgently redeploy resources to meet the coming increase demand for health care services.
What's more ... the CMA's also desperately trying to take an inventory of ventilation equipment that may be able to be redeployed to hospitals and other facilities currently dealing with COVID-19 patients. Specifically, hospitals are in dire need of masks and gowns.
Plastic surgeons across the state are also being asked to take a survey "to help identify our current health care resources as we all scramble to deal with the COVID-19 emergency."
If the CMA -- a professional organization representing California physicians -- says it's asking for as much equipment as possible, this could put a damper on celebs who may wanna take this time to get a touch up via their plastic surgeon.
As we first reported ... "Botched" star and doc Terry Dubrow says celebs are clamoring for plastic surgery while everyone is out of the public eye during the coronavirus pandemic.
