Jason Brown -- the head football coach featured on seasons 3 and 4 of "Last Chance U" -- has resigned after sending texts to one of his players saying, "I'm your new Hitler."

The scandal broke last week after the Montgomery County Chronicle newspaper published text messages Brown sent to freshman Alexandros Alexiou, who was born in Germany.

Brown's controversial career at Independence Community College in Kansas has been documented on the Netflix series "Last Chance U" for the past 2 seasons ... where he often used strong, explicit language to chew out players.

Regarding Alexiou, Brown had reached out via text to scold the player for racking up more "points" in the team's disciplinary point system -- in which players get dinged every time they violate team rules.

"410pm on field u German f*ck," Brown texted to Alexiou ... “u have 17 points toward your 25 points. U got an extra point for not hanging the lion poster as instructed."

"I’m your new Hitler," Brown added ... "Figure out your life.”

The school launched an investigation into Brown last week -- but on Sunday, the coach announced his resignation.

"It is with strong emotions that I announce my decision to resign as Head Football Coach at Independent Community College," Brown said in a statement.

After listing his accomplishments, Brown said ... "The events of the past few weeks has led me to resign."

"Given what has most recently been allowed to transpire, it is clear, that it will be nearly impossible to stay here."

"More plainly, the Montgomery County Chronicle has greatly diminished my ability to do my job, and has set this football program back significantly, and the cumulative effect of all these detrimental factors I believe clearly constitute a constructive discharge of my employment."

Brown added, "I urge all the naysayers on campus and in town to really look at yourself in the mirror and do a self-evaluation of yourself before so harshly judging others."

Brown has coached at ICC for 3.5 years.

3:29 PM PST -- Senator Cornyn just tweeted out a clarification on his Mussolini quote, agreeing with a Texas-based reporter who speculated he appeared to be "warning us against an overly powerful central government." Cornyn replied, "You nailed it, Bud. Since so-called Democratic Socialists have forgotten or never learned the lessons of history, and how their ideology is incompatible with freedom, I guess we have to remind or teach them."

Texas Senator John Cornyn quoted fascist Italian dictator Benito Mussolini in a bizarre tweet that seems to scream anti-democracy ... which he has yet to delete.

Cornyn posted the tweet early Sunday, with a translated quote Mussolini delivered in 1929 roughly saying ... "We were the first to assert that the more complicated the forms assumed by civilization, the more restricted the freedom of the individual must become."

It's unclear why Senator Cornyn tweeted this, or what the context might be here. He followed this up by retweeting posts that were pro-ICE and anti-Nicolas Maduro ... Venezuela's own embattled dictator. As of this writing, Cornyn has not deleted the tweet.

In case you're unfamiliar with history, Mussolini was one of Hitler's allies during WWII ... and he eventually scrapped democracy in Italy while he ruled as Prime Minister.

Blac Chyna is blasting Soulja Boy for trying to sex shame her after their breakup ... and she's hitting him where it hurts!!!

Sources close to Blac Chyna tell TMZ ... Soulja Boy's an immature, thirsty clout chaser who was begging to get with her, and she's glad their relationship is dunzo!!!

We're told BC's anger stems from SB's response to TMZ breaking the news of their split. In a since-deleted tweet, Soulja Boy said he "just wanted to see what the p***y felt like."

Our Chyna sources say she's happy Soulja Boy's out of her life because the tweet showed his true colors. We're told she felt his reaction was the lowest of the low, and utterly ridiculous.

As we reported ... Soulja Boy was super romantic and sweet while lavishing Chyna with $20,000 in gifts during a Valentine's Day shopping spree ... but it appears he left his manners in Beverly Hills.

President Barack Obama was quick to show love for Zion Williamson after watching him suffer an injury 30 seconds into the Duke vs. NC game ... wishing the college star a speedy recovery.

You've heard about it by now ... Zion's Nike shoe blew out shortly after tip-off Wednesday night, resulting in a mild knee sprain. Obama was sitting in the front row when it all went down.

"Zion Williamson seems like an outstanding young man as well as an outstanding basketball player," #44 tweeted after the game. "Wishing him a speedy recovery."

It didn't take an expert lip reader to figure out Obama's reaction to the injury -- cameras captured Barack's shocked look while he mouthed the words, "His shoe broke!"

LeBron James -- who's also a big fan of Zion -- tweeted out support for the young star as well, saying, "Hope young fella is ok! Literally blew thru his [shoe]."

The freak injury didn't stop Obama from being fan-friendly with the Cameron Crazies ... dappin' up all the folks who packed into the crowded arena for the big game.

The Blue Devils ended up losing 88-72 without their superstar ... and Zion's status will be evaluated on Thursday.

Rapper Sheck Wes is being labeled an abuser of women by his ex-GF but he's vehemently denying the allegations ... calling them all lies.

Justine Skye -- a singer, actress and model -- put Sheck on blast, calling him pathetic and claiming he put his hands on her in the past. She said there was an instance when she was "taking a walk with my friends and my man and Sheck Wes (my abuser) and his friends decide to STALK US and attack my friends.. two cars full of n****s while he sat in the car like a bitch."

She went on to say on Twitter, "You're pathetic sheck and you beat women. You hit your girl before me and you'll do it again." The rapper broke his silence just after midnight ... calling BS.

It's not the first time Justine's accused the Harlem rapper of abuse. Back in October, Justine wrote a lengthy post on Instagram saying she experienced domestic violence ... and then went on to like a bunch of tweets that specifically named Sheck as her abuser.

Justine's now been linked with rapper GoldLink, who appears to address Justine's abuse allegations head-on in his track "Justine's Interlude," which he dropped last month.

Some of the lyrics go, "So many stories 'bout you and so-and-so who from Harlem. It ain't too many from Harlem, so take a guess ... I'm tired of hearin' 'bout if this n***a put hands on you. Tired of tryna smile through s**t that's affectin' us."

2/13 -- Sheck's legal and management team tells TMZ they are "fiercely standing by him through this. He has denied any wrongdoing whatsoever or violence of any kind and we believe him."

Ariana Grande was quick to tweet and delete "Trash" after Mac Miller lost the Grammy for Rap Album of the Year ... what she felt was a sign of total disrespect from the award show to the late rapper and his family.

Miller -- who died in September -- received the first nomination of his career for Sunday's show for his album "Swimming." Mac was up against Travis Scott, Nipsey Hussle, Pusha T and Cardi.

Grande tweeted "Trash" after Cardi was announced the winner but clarified the shade wasn't at Cardi, saying, "Nothing to do w her. good for her. i promise. i'm sorry."

A source close to Ariana tells us she was upset because the Grammys flew Mac's parents out for the show -- a sign he was likely going to win -- and felt they disrespected him by giving it to someone else.

As we reported ... Ariana was supposed to perform at the show but later canceled the gig after a feud with Grammy honchos. She wanted was to perform "7 rings."

We're told the show's producer, Ken Ehrlich, told Ariana that song wouldn't connect with the audience, so he asked her to choose a different song. Ariana felt strongly "7 Rings" was what people wanted to hear, and when Ehrlich wouldn't budge, she said she'd take a pass.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend don't seem to be holding out much hope Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will chow down on pizza with them on Grammys night.

John and Crissy were on their way into Spago Saturday night in Bev Hills, when our photog asked about their overture to AOC ... where the Mayor of Twitter said, "hello my hero, do you wanna come over and watch the grammys with us? there will be pizza."

AOC responded and didn't say no, tweeting back, "yes! we can live-tweet me burning something in the kitchen."

Ariana Grande says the guy who runs the Grammys is a liar for claiming she was just too frazzled to pull it together and perform on Sunday night's show ... she says it all fell apart because he utterly disrespected her.

Ariana has been promoted everywhere as one of the highlights of the show -- on TV commercials, a billboard on Hollywood Blvd., buses, and on and on. Yet, sources connected to the Grammys show tell us, Ariana never made a deal to show up or perform.

The deal she wanted was to perform her massive, #1 hit, "7 rings." We're told the show's producer, Ken Ehrlich, told Ariana that song wouldn't connect with the audience, so he asked her to choose a different song. Ariana felt strongly "7 Rings" was what people wanted to hear, and when Ehrlich wouldn't budge, she said she'd take a pass.

Fast-forward to Thursday, when Ehrlich gave an interview to AP, saying Ariana backed out because she "felt it was too late for her to pull something together."

We're told Ariana is enraged, because she actually continued to talk to the Grammys and offered to perform a song Ehrlich wanted, as long as she could sing "7 Rings," but he still wouldn't budge. She then said sayonara and, days later, Ehrlich came back and said fine, do a medley that includes "7 Rings" ... but by then, Ariana was done with him. In other words, we're told she feels like Ehrlich is lying because he knows he made a mistake and is looking for cover.

As for why she thinks he made a mistake ... "thank u, next" the album drops Friday, and it's expected to be the best-selling album so far this year, and for Ariana not to appear on the TV show will look ridiculous.

CeeLo Green says he should have chosen his words A LOT more carefully when he threw major shade at NFL boycotters ... in defense of his friend Big Boi.

CeeLo was on "TMZ Live" Monday, explaining a since-deleted tweet he fired off after Big Boi and Travis Scott performed in the Super Bowl Halftime show. He'd said, "@BigBoi yo big we riding wit you fam DO THAT SHIT! F**k these so called protesters you just got 100m worth of press. I'll kill for you."

Despite those extremely harsh words, CeeLo told us he meant no harm and was more trying to support his friend, than take a shot at Colin Kaepernick's supporters.

As you know, Adam Levine and Maroon 5, along with their guest stars, took a lot of flak from people boycotting the NFL. CeeLo says he was watching the Halftime Show when his emotions got the best of him.

Still, he faced huge blowback from people who were offended at the "so called protesters" remark. There were other artists -- most notably Jay-Z and Rihanna -- who turned down the SB gig to stand with Kap.

2/3 -- Trump just gave some insight into his golf game with Tiger and Jack went. According to DT ... it was "Great!" Sounds like Tiger hasn't lost a step either.

Trump says Jack had a solid outing as well.

President Trump was in good company on the links Saturday morning ... escaping the D.C. cold at his private Florida golf course with the 2 best golfers on the planet -- Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus.

POTUS tweeted a pic of the trio at the Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter ... saying it was a "great morning" with the 2 golf legends.

Trump and Woods are no strangers on the golf course ... they also played together in Jupiter with Dustin Johnson in November 2017.

Trump has golfed with a bunch of celebrities in the past ... but considering the Golden Bear and Tiger combine for 32 major championships ... it doesn't get much better than this.

Kyle Richards is not down with Lisa Vanderpump calling her a bitch ... and now she's trying like hell to turn down the heat between them by clarifying her "Lisa drama" comment.

The 'RHOBH' star says she misunderstood a pap's question when, at first, she was reminded Lisa wasn't at Andy Cohen's baby shower before being asked if there was any drama. As we reported ... Kyle said there was drama and insinuated Lisa's absence might be her holding out to get paid.

As you know ... Lisa clapped back calling BS and, while holding one of her dogs, referred to Kyle -- and other Housewives -- as bitches. Well, Kyle's now firing back, saying, "It would be interesting to see how people would react if I called HER a bitch."

Kyle then clarified ... "When I was asked if there was drama at Andy’s shower I thought they were referring to something that happened AT the shower. Nothing to do with Lisa."

As for whether Lisa was holding out for money, Kyle says, "THEY asked if Lisa was holding out for money to attend the shower. OBVIOUSLY that is not true. I thought that was obvious so I joked."

James Woods shocked us big time ... a day after tweeting Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the most dangerous person in America, he told us he has mad respect for her.

We got the super conservative actor Friday night in WeHo at Dan Tana's, and we thought he was going to double down on his comments that AOC was so powerful she cannot be ignored ... and, he said, "Ignore her at your peril."

Yet, he told our photog how impressive he thinks she is ... a bartender becoming a leader in Congress has to be admired.

Rae Sremmurd is no more ... at least that's what one half of the hip-hop duo's suggesting.

Slim Jxmmi dropped some disheartening Twitter bombs on fans of the "Black Beatles" rappers Saturday morning, including 3 he later deleted implying he's parting ways with his brother, Swae Lee.

One said, "Y'all won it's a wrap," while another was even more telling, with Slim saying ... "I'm not Rae Sremmurd I'm slim jxmmi and ima sink or swim by myself."

Jxm also boasted he'd bought his mom a home off the money he made from his own work ... which is a tweet he actually left up.

The 2 have both done recent solo work but confirmed they have a new album coming out in early 2019 ... called "SremmLife4."

This isn't the first time there have been rumors of a breakup, but they've denied them in the past and maintained all was well between the siblings. It seems like it could be different this time.

Interesting note -- the last time we heard from the rappers was last week when they were in New Zealand, but only Jxmmi was seen ... getting involved in a bloody street brawl.

Kendall Jenner is hoping to connect with people and help them by sharing a very personal story about herself ... but it's a mystery what that is for now.

Kris Jenner announced Saturday her "brave and vulnerable" daughter will be revealing the story on Twitter Sunday night, "In order to make a positive impact for so many people and help foster a positive dialogue."

She also shared a video of Kendall alluding to the topic.

Kendall mentions it has something to do with her life when she was 14 years old, but at the time she didn't have the massive social media following she does now.

Flash forward to today, as a 22-year-old, Kendall has more than 100 million Instagram followers and 27 mil on Twitter. So, whatever message she wants to get out there ... she'll definitely have a huge audience.

Kris doesn't list a time to tune in to Kendall's story other than Sunday night, but adds ... "be prepared to be moved."

Ariana Grande is about that single life heading into the new year, and probably for the rest of her days ... according to her, anyway.

Ari responded to an article on Tuesday which speculated on who she's been seeing lately by hilariously tweeting, "can they tell me too?" She followed up with, "spoiler for the rest of this year / probably my life: it's no one. please refer back to this tweet for future questions."

It goes without saying ... AG's had it rough this year in the love department. She called off her engagement with 'SNL' star Pete Davidson ... and, of course, her ex, Mac Miller, tragically died of an accidental overdose from a mix of fentanyl and cocaine.

Ariana seems to be joking about the never dating again thing, but her point is coming through loud and clear ... her dating life shouldn't be the subject of such scrutiny in 2019.

Donald Trump pretended to send well wishes to people who oppose him ... but let's be honest, it was aggressive and mean-spirited.

Trump wished Happy New Year 2019 to his haters and the "fake news media." He also made it clear ... the only people who would have an awesome 2019 were those who were not suffering from a fake disease -- Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Trump has been playing Kevin McCallister in "Home Alone" ... hunkering down in The White House over the holidays and complaining none of the Democratic leaders came to visit and break the deadlock that has shut down the federal government.

Trump's 2019 is about to get way more difficult, because Democrats take over the House of Representatives Thursday.
