Roger Goodell Boo Me At The Draft ... It's For Charity!!!

Published

Think Roger Goodell is going to finally make it through a draft without hearing boos????

THINK AGAIN ... 'cause the commish is actually ENCOURAGING the jeers -- and it's all for COVID-19 charity!!

Here's the deal ... Goodell has been booed at EVERY draft for the last decade or so -- mostly because NFL fans hate the way he runs the league.

But, with the coronavirus pandemic ... it seemed the commish was finally going to get a reprieve from it all as the league's draft Thursday has gone completely virtual.

The NFL, though, partnered with its beer sponsor Monday to make sure the tradition stays alive ... with Bud Light announcing it will donate $1 every time the #BooTheCommish hashtag is used on social media this week!

In fact, the booze company says it'll contribute up to $500,000 total to COVID-19 relief efforts to hear you boo the league's head man.

So, for a great cause ... we all scream loudly -- BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Playmate Ashley Mattingly Dead by Suicide at 33

Published | Updated

Former Playmate Ashley Mattingly -- a domestic violence victim at the hands of Lane Garrison, who struggled with substance abuse -- is dead ... TMZ has learned.

Ashley's sister, Christy, and twin brother Billy tell us she took her own life Wednesday at her home in Austin, Texas and she left a suicide note.

We're told Ashley was found unresponsive Friday after a friend called the Austin Police Department for a wellness check after Ashley went radio silent. We're told police took the note as part of their investigation.

Ashley's family tells us she had been living in Austin for the past two years, and she was struggling with substance abuse. We're told she had demons and battled alcohol abuse, but she was trying to get her life back on track.

The shelter-in-place order in Texas did not help Ashley, her family says, even though Ashley recently adopted a 9-month-old golden retriever puppy to help with her loneliness. We're told the pup, Miss Jean, is now with Ashley's family.

As we reported ... Ashley, who was Playboy's Miss March in 2011, was charged with DUI back in 2016 after allegedly plowing her golf cart into 4 parked cars while she was wasted.

As you know ... Ashley was a victim of domestic violence. Lane, her ex-boyfriend, was convicted of domestic battery in 2012.

LAST TIME WE SAW HER

The last time we saw Ashley, back in 2015, she seemed to be in good spirits.

Ashley's relatives also tell us they're thankful her friend called police for the wellness check ... and they hope her story can raise awareness about suicide.

Ashley was 33.

Ticketmaster, Live Nation Sued for Refund Policy ... Changed it to Cover Their COVID Asses!!!

Published

Ticketmaster pulled a fast one on concertgoers by retroactively changing its refund policy ... so claims one of its customers in a new lawsuit.

Derek Hansen filed the class action suit claiming Ticketmaster, which is a division of Live Nation, had a policy stating customers get a refund on ticket purchases "if your event is postponed, rescheduled or canceled.”

But, according to docs, obtained by TMZ, Hansen says Ticketmaster retroactively revised its refund policy after the coronavirus outbreak forced the cancellation or postponement of most large events and public gatherings. The policy now states it'll only allow for refunds for canceled events ... which, according to the lawsuit, excludes postponed or rescheduled ones even if those delays are indefinite.

That's a problem, Hansen says, because Live Nation's president recently predicted live events will not occur again until fall 2021 at the earliest. And, in the meantime, customers like Hansen say they have to eat the money, which could be used for more important things.

Hansen claims he bought 2 tickets in February to see a Rage Against the Machine concert in Oakland originally scheduled for April. He says he unloaded almost $600 for them ... and now he's looking for a refund because the show's been indefinitely postponed.

According to the suit, the potential damages are in excess of $5 million. An EDM festival is facing a similar lawsuit as is United Airlines, to name a few. We've reached out to Live Nation and Ticketmaster, so far no word back.

Meghan and Harry Shut Your Trap!!! Texts To Thomas Revealed

Published | Updated

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry pled with Thomas Markle to stop blabbing to the media before their Royal wedding ... according to text messages sent by the Sussexes.

Meghan and Harry's pleas to Thomas leading up to their nuptials have just been made public in Meghan's lawsuit against an English tabloid, and the text messages spell out the family drama bubbling over before the ceremony.

According to legal docs, obtained by TMZ, Prince Harry texted Meghan's father 5 days before the wedding and 2 days after Thomas was caught staging photos with the paparazzi, saying ... "Tom, it's Harry and I'm going to call you right now. Please pick up, thank you."

Another text from Harry to Thomas reads ... "Tom, Harry again! Really need to speak to u. U do not need to apologize, we understand the circumstances but 'going public' will only make the situation worse. If u love Meg and want to make it right please call me as there are two other options which don't involve u having to speak to the media, who incidentally created this whole situation. So please call me so I can explain. Meg and I are not angry, we just need to speak to u. Thanks."

Remember, Thomas was awfully chatty with the press after it was announced he would not be attending the Royal wedding.

Another text from the Sussexes to Thomas says ... "Oh any speaking to the press WILL backfire, trust me Tom. Only we can help u, as we have been trying from day 1."

The docs also reveal texts Meghan sent to her father in May 2018, asking which hospital he was being treated for a heart attack and offering him protection.

Meghan wrote ... "I've been reaching out to you all weekend but you're not taking any of our calls or replying to any texts… Very concerned about your health and safety and have taken every measure to protect you but not sure what more we can do if you don't respond…Do you need help? Can we send the security team down again? I’m very sorry to hear you're in the hospital but need you to please get in touch with us… What hospital are you at?"

The Duchess followed up with another text telling her father she and Harry were "dispatching the same security guys you turned away this weekend to be a presence on the ground to make sure you’re safe."

The docs say Thomas rebuffed the offer, even though Harry "pleaded with Mr. Markle to let them help him."

The emotionally-charged texts were included in legal docs submitted to the court Friday by Meghan's legal team, as part of her lawsuit against the Mail on Sunday newspaper.

Andie MacDowell Gets Way Down with Daughters ... For the Great Outdoors

Published | Updated

Andie MacDowell showed how low she can go ... for some fresh air and exercise during the coronavirus pandemic.

The "Groundhog Day" star and her 2 actress daughters -- Margaret and Rainey Qualley -- must be feeling like they're living the same day over and over again, so they wanted to mix it up and go for a hike together in L.A.

Problem is ... the gate at the Audubon Center at Debs Park was closed, with signs stating it's shuttered until April 30 due to COVID-19 concerns, so the trio had to bust out some extreme stretching to get in. Looks like Andie and Rainey had a different approach to the task ... but same result.

Stir craziness apparently makes you pretty limber! Andie's little dog was able to sneak in too ... but without any trouble or extra effort.

It's a micro look at what's going on across the country ... with people defying the stay-at-home orders and social distancing and in some cases outright rebelling.

Mike Tyson Celebrates 4/20 with Wake and Bake ... 'It's a Celebration!'

Published | Updated

It's 4/20 ... and you've NEVER seen Mike Tyson this happy!!

The boxing legend is now a full marijuana advocate and entrepreneur -- and to celebrate the biggest weed holiday of the year, he fired up a joint and explained to TMZ Sports why the day is so important to him.

Of course, 53-year-old Mike launched his "Tyson Ranch" weed biz a while back -- and now swears by THC ... saying he views it as "medicine" and raves that it's changed his life for the better.

Now, he views 4/20 as an important day -- because it symbolizes the beginning of the "revolution" to de-criminalize weed all over the world.

In between tokes, Tyson also revealed his dream celebrity smoking buddy -- explaining why he would have LOVED to spark up with Bob Marley.

"He is such an amazing man, I wish I had the opportunity to meet him."

Obviously, Bob passed away a long time ago -- but Mike says he's friendly with Marley's kids ... and even visited Bob's home in Jamaica!

There's more ... Mike is also honoring the "holiday" by posting some celeb interviews on his YouTube page including Action Bronson, Kenan Thompson and Jadakiss.

Look, some people go all out for Christmas ... other people, 4/20.

Merry THC-Mas everyone.

Ben & Jerry's Another 4/20, Another PSA ... POC Getting Left Behind

Published

Ben & Jerry's is yet again putting down the scooper and picking up a megaphone on 4/20 to tell people about the injustice people of color experience over weed arrests.

The famous ice cream company followed in their own footsteps on both Sunday and Monday, with two timely posts about the unofficial holiday ... pointing out that, yes, minorities -- specifically, black people -- are disproportionately punished over having herb.

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

B&J come with some stats ... pointing out African-Americans are 264% more likely than white people to be arrested for cannabis possession, even though they use at similar rates. They write, "Cannabis is legal in 33 states, but hundreds of thousands of people are still arrested for possession every year — a disproportionate number of them Black. This #420, get the facts then join us and @aclu_nationwide to take action to pass the MORE Act."

Just the day before, they put up another informational post, which noted that white folks are the ones who seem to be profiting the most on the legalization of weed ... something they say isn't right. Their messaging here is clear ... POC are getting left behind on this issue.

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

Of course, Ben & Jerry's conducted a very similar campaign last year, again pointing that despite weed being legal in 33 states now -- it's black people and other minorities that are constantly getting busted for it. A year later, they're hammering their point home twice as hard.

This time, they're also championing a piece of federal legislation they're hoping gets signed into law. It's called the MORE Act -- Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement -- and just as the name describes, it's aimed at getting weed drug offenders out of prison.

There's been some serious movement on that front down in D.C. over the past couple years or so -- something tells us it's more a realistic possibility than not.

Presidents Obama & Clinton Odd, Yet Accurate Titles for MJ Doc Ex-Chicago Resident, AR Gov.

Published | Updated

The new Michael Jordan documentary has a funny way of describing kiiinda important people in U.S. history -- like Barack Obama and Bill Clinton -- but hey ... they aren't wrong.

On Sunday, ESPN aired the first two episodes of "The Last Dance" -- and while they were talking about MJ's early years at UNC and eventually with the Bulls ... they brought in former Presidents Obama and Clinton.

Funny enough, the producers didn't seem interested in highlighting either guy's political career ... referring to Bubba as "Bill Clinton, Former Arkansas Governor" and Barry as "Former Chicago Resident." Disrespectful? Eh, maybe. Hilarious??? Abso-freakin'-lutely!

Here's the thing ... the odd title choices aren't incorrect. Yes, Bill was the governor of AR once upon a time before he made a run at the White House in the early '90s -- and he WAS discussing Scottie Pippen's days at the University of Central Arkansas.

And sure, Barack, the former U.S. Senator and Prez WAS talking about what Chi-Town was like when MJ first arrived.

BTW, there were other famous talking heads for the interview, including Common ... who told a sad but funny story about MJ basically saying ... "F*** Them Kids."

Netflix's 'Too Hot to Handle' Contestants' Poo Under Surveillance ... Camera On At All Times

Published

Netflix's new reality show, ''Too Hot to Handle,'' was serious when they told their participants no pleasure whatsoever, because producers had eyes on them 24/7 ... even in the John.

Contestant Bryce Hirschberg talked to Dax Holt and Adam Glyn on the 'Hollywood Raw' podcast recently, and revealed yes, they were under surveillance at all times to ensure they wouldn't, y'know ... choke any poultry. Even while they were on the sh***er -- producers were watching on CCTV.

That might sound like an invasion of privacy -- we're sure the stars of the show signed up for it though -- but that's the point of the show ... hold back from "releasing" and take home six figures in the amount of $100,000. The twist -- you're surrounded by temptation.

There's a bunch of hot singles who get thrown into "paradise" ... but they have to refrain from sexual or intimate touching of any kind or risk losing out on the prize money.

Of course, you also can't masturbate -- something you could normally get away with in the secrecy of the bathroom. But, that's out the window with cameras rolling.

Hopefully, the prolonged non-enjoying was worth it for Bryce. He says he didn't earn a dime for appearing, but won a meager $7,500!!! You can hear the whole thing here.

Aaron Hernandez Fiancee Posts Tribute On 3-Year Death Anniversary

Published

It's been 3 years since convicted murderer Aaron Hernandez killed himself in his prison cell -- but his fiancee is still showing love.

Shayanna Jenkins posted a throwback photo on April 19 -- showing the ex-NFL star holding their then-newborn daughter roughly 8 years ago.

"The love between father and daughter knows no distance," Jenkins wrote ... "We think of you today. May you Rest in Peace and continue to watch over us!"

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

Of course, not everyone remembers Aaron as a loving family man -- in fact, many know him as a bloodthirsty, unstable maniac.

Remember, Hernandez was convicted in the 2013 shooting death of Odin Lloyd -- and Aaron was also accused of murdering two other people in Boston in 2012.

In fact, it was April 19, 2017 -- only 5 days after he had been acquitted in the double-murder case -- that he hanged himself in his prison cell at the Souza Baranowski Correctional Center in Mass. Hernandez was 27-years-old.

Some people think Hernandez took his own life to exploit a loophole in the legal system which would require officials to throw out the Odin Lloyd murder conviction, forcing the Patriots to pay out the remaining cash on his contract to Jenkins.

In fact, Hernandez left a suicide note for Jenkins saying, "You're rich!"

The plan worked initially -- the Odin Lloyd murder conviction was vacated -- only to be reinstated in 2019 after an appeal from prosecutors.
