TikTok Chemical Peel Burn Victim Awarded $1 Million

Published

Neyo White, the TikToker who says an infamous chemical peel led to severe burns, is now feeling like a million bucks ... 'cause he just scored a huge payday in court.

According to new docs, obtained by TMZ, Neyo was awarded $1 million in damages at the end of June in his lawsuit against Diamond Facez Skin Care Bar in ATL and the woman he says administered the peel, who's also the CEO.

Here's the breakdown of the damages ... Neyo is getting $750K in compensatory -- two-thirds of that comes from the company, and the rest comes from the CEO. He's getting another $250K in punitive damages.

We reached out to Diamond Facez Skin Care Bar for comment ... so far, no word back.

In case ya forgot, Neyo went viral last year after his treatment from hell ... which he said landed him in the hospital with painful burns.

He told us all about the scary aftermath of the peel and insisted he was definitely going to be taking legal action.

Neyo, who has since started his own skincare line called Neyo Skincare Brand, eventually got laser treatments to fix the burns -- seeing an almost immediate difference, which was a huge boost to his confidence.

If he can collect the judgment, he should have money to buy whatever he wants ... and we're assuming chemical peels won't be on his wish list.

'BOTCHED' STAR TERRY DUBROW Lisa Marie Presley's Death Should Be Weight Loss, Ozempic Warning ... Here's How It Killed Her

Published | Updated

Dr. Terry Dubrow says weight loss surgery ultimately turned out to be a fatal decision for Lisa Marie Presley ... offering a warning to everyone in Hollywood, and beyond.

The "Botched" surgeon joined us on "TMZ Live" and explained how bariatric surgery eventually spelled doom for Elvis Presley's only child.

The good doc says Lisa Marie's weight loss procedure resulted in tons of scar tissue that ultimately blocked her small intestine -- which as we first reported, is her official cause of death.

Although there's no evidence LMP was taking Ozempic, Dr. Dubrow warns of issues with sudden weight loss.

And, get this ... Terry says Lisa Marie's digestive system was in such bad shape before she died, over 30 feet of her small intestine was already dead before she was rushed to a hospital.

Terry tells us Lisa Marie's health issues are widespread in America ... he says tons of folks are having weight loss surgeries, and many others are using Ozempic to manage their weight, a practice he says is prevalent in Hollywood.

The doc's sounding the alarm here ... he says Ozempic and similar drugs are part of a perfect storm of problems that are already landing some of his patients in the ICU.

Raquel Leviss Back to Birth Name ... Call Me Rachel

Published | Updated

Raquel Leviss had an epiphany during her stay in a mental health facility ... she is going back to her birth name, and the reason is deeply rooted in her therapy.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... the "Vanderpump Rules" star was very upset her haters in the wake of Scandavol began calling her by her birth name, Rachel.

Although that's her government name, her friends and family began calling her Raquel at a very early age, and the name stuck.

We're told she's spent an enormous amount of time in therapy over the last few months, and her therapists explained to her ... her detractors had weaponized the name "Rachel" to hurt her. She came to realize, with the help of the therapists, that by taking the name back and embracing it ... she neutralized the people who used it as a weapon.

So, from this point on, she's Rachel.

TMZ broke the story, Rachel left her mental health facility in Arizona last week ... with a staggering bill of $200K.

As we reported, Rachel has not yet signed on for Season 11 of 'VPR.' She's in negotiations with Bravo, and sources connected to her say what remains paramount in the negotiations and beyond is her mental health.

Raquel Leviss Out Of Mental Health Facility ... Astronomical Bill

Published | Updated

Raquel Leviss has been out of the mental facility she called home for 2 months, and the bill is staggering.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Raquel checked into The Meadows in Arizona where she underwent intensive therapy for 2 months.

As for the bill ... our sources say $200,000.

There were lots of folks who never believed she was ever in a mental health facility, but the reality for this reality star ... she was.

She's been out for a week and has been holed up in a friend's house, and is uneasy about venturing out. One source who has spent time with her in the last week tells TMZ, "She is like a totally different person."

She planned on heading to the facility before taping the explosive "Vanderpump Rules" reunion episode, but chose to wrap up the season before heading there.

A rep for Raquel told us she wasn't going to the center for any sort of rehab, but "rather mental health and trauma therapy." Of course, Raquel's taken quite the beating, both online and on the show, over her and Tom's affair.

Lisa Vanderpump told us folks should probably back off  ... especially considering Raquel's call to check herself in.

Scheana Shay -- who Raquel claimed attacked her in the midst of Scandoval -- spoke out, too ... with her lawyer telling us, "We obviously recognize mental health is an important issue and wish Rachel all the best in her recovery, but we’d also like her to own up to her false allegations and publicly come out and acknowledge that she lied."

SETTIN' 'EM STRAIGHT

Raquel's former 'VPR' costars -- namely Peter Madrigal and Dayna Kathan -- shared doubts about the seriousness of her mental health treatments ... but Tom called them out, reassuring folks this is the real deal.

The reality series also jumped into filming its latest season last month without Raquel ... but sources told us her team's been in negotiations with Bravo and production to talk about a new contract.

Tjay's team transformed the Brooklyn Chop House into a soiree dedicated to the "222" project, where Tjay took pics, rapped for fans and kicked it with Fivio Foreign -- who was in the building to support his friend.

The project also sports features from Jadakiss, NBA YoungBoy, The Kid LAROI, Summer Walker, and Coco Jones.

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

Tjay predicts fans will receive the music very well ... it's been over 2 years since he had a new project and his fate was hanging in the balance this time last year.

TMZ Hip Hop broke the story at the time ... Tjay was shot 7 times on June 22, forcing him into emergency surgery, and he's even had some legal drama amid getting this album out.

He created "222" out of sentiment ... it stands for the time on the clock Tjay says he saw when he was airlifted to the hospital after being shot.

Ex-NFLer Stanley Wilson Jr. Died From Pulmonary Thromboembolism ... Autopsy Report Shows

Published | Updated

Former Detroit Lions CB Stanley Wilson Jr. died from a pulmonary thromboembolism likely caused by deep vein thrombosis -- a blood clot in a deep vein -- according to an autopsy report obtained by TMZ Sports.

Wilson, who was 40 years old, was pronounced deceased at the Metropolitan State Hospital in Los Angeles County on February 1 ... after officials said he suddenly collapsed, never regaining consciousness.

Stanley's family, however, wasn't buying the explanation ... hiring an attorney who filed three lawsuits against the county in March, accusing them of being deceitful with the truth.

"The County has grossly misrepresented the cause and circumstances of Stanley Wilson Jr.'s death," the attorney said in the court filings at the time.

However, an autopsy conducted on February 4 by the medical examiner in L.A. concluded Wilson Jr. passed away naturally from a pulmonary thromboembolism.

According to the Mayo Clinic, that's a "blood clot that blocks and stops blood flow to an artery in the lung. In most cases, the blood clot starts in a deep vein in the leg and travels to the lung."

The report does mention "red abrasions" to the "forehead, right hand, and right knee" ... but they were described by the doctor as "superficial."

The report says Wilson Jr. was in a prescreening area of the hospital and complained of anxiety before he collapsed. Officials say medics responded to the scene, but unfortunately they weren't able to save Stanley.

The Wilson family has not yet commented on the county's findings.

Lil Durk Hospitalized For A Week With Severe Dehydration & Exhaustion

Published | Updated

Lil Durk spent the past week in the hospital with severe dehydration and exhaustion, only to be released yesterday a source close to the situation tells TMZ Hip Hop.

We're told Durk checked into a hospital on July 6, after falling ill in Ohio.

He went to the hospital as a safety measure ... but doctors told him the matter was more serious than he and his team realized and quickly admitted him.

The sudden health scare forced Durk to miss a series of shows across Europe and yesterday's ESPY Awards, and we're told he's still not been cleared by physicians to return to work in any capacity.

Durk tells TMZ Hip Hop ... "My fans mean everything to me, you’re the reason why I do this. I was looking forward to touching all of my European fans, performing this week(end), attending the ESPYs and more but after performing and traveling daily I’ve become severely dehydrated and advised by my doctors not to travel due to exhaustion. Once I get my full energy back, it’s back to business which I’m looking forward to. #StillHealing."

The Chicago rap star is expected to release the deluxe album of said "Almost Healed" soon but needs to slow down in order to activate that speedy recovery!!!

Richard Simmons Happy 75th Birthday!!! Fans Show Up at House

Published | Updated

Richard Simmons has been MIA for nearly a decade, but he hasn't been forgotten on his 75th birthday.

Fans showed up at his Hollywood Hills home, balloons in hand, to wish the fitness guru well. Richard did not come out of the house ... which is the way it's been for years.

Richard hasn't been seen in public since 2014. He was everywhere before that, but suddenly retreated from the public eye.

TMZ produced a documentary in 2022 on Richard -- "TMZ Investigates: What Really Happened to Richard Simmons" -- and after it aired Richard actually responded to fans who were expressing their concern and sending their love.

WHERE DID RICHARD GO?

As we said in the doc, Richard has knee problems and did not want to appear in public when he wasn't at his best. He was also emotionally drained from his nonstop concern for just about anyone who reached out to him for help.

We're told he still goes out in public, but wears disguises good enough to fool even the paparazzi.

Happy 75th, Richard!!!

French President Macron Gets Severed Finger in the Mail

Published

French President Emmanuel Macron was reportedly given the finger this week, but not in the way you'd think  ... this one was severed from a human being and sent to him in the mail.

Macron was the recipient of the gory delivery Monday, according to news outlet London Evening Standard ... which says the digit showed up at the  Élysée Palace in Paris without a note. We don't know if Macron ever personally saw what was inside.

A source claims police immediately put the finger in their communal fridge, where snacks are usually kept, to keep it preserved ahead of testing -- which came back to show it was from a living human being.

The outlet says the person missing the finger was located and given medical support ... although they weren't identified. It's unclear if any arrests have been made.

France has been dealing with a lot of unrest lately -- waves of riots erupted after cops in Paris fatally shot 17-year-old French Algerian Nahel Merzouk last week. He was allegedly trying to drive away from the officers during a traffic stop.

As we reported, Macron was spotted having fun at Elton John's Farewell Tour as riots sparked in his country ... and he's set to lead Bastille Day celebrations Friday in Paris, and many believe he'll be facing plenty of public outrage.

Logan Paul, KSI Prime Energy Drink Recalled In Canada ... Too Much Caffeine!!!

Published | Updated
UPDATE

11:48 AM PT -- Logan Paul is firing back after Canadian health officials said his energy drink shouldn't be sold in the country because it violates health regulations ... with the WWE Superstar saying Prime isn't even distributed in Canada.

UPDATE
UPDATE

Paul says any Prime product being sold up north was illegally sent to Canada ... therefore, Prime isn't breaking any Canadian rules.

UPDATE

Earlier this week, Canadian health officials declared they were recalling the drink because its 200 milligrams of caffeine was over their legally allowed limit.

It's definitely no longer Prime day in Canada ... officials up north said this week they're recalling Logan Paul and KSI's popular energy drink -- due to its high caffeine content.

Health Canada announced the decision Wednesday ... saying at 200 milligrams of caffeine per can, Prime Energy needs to be pulled from store shelves.

Officials said the caffeine in each container -- which is equal to roughly two full cans of Red Bull -- is just too high ... coming in at 20 milligrams over the country's recommended limit of 180 per serving.

The move comes just a couple days after United States senator Chuck Schumer questioned whether the social media influencers' beverage should be sold in American stores as well.

The democrat argued that it posed a "serious health concern" for kids ... and he urged the Food and Drug Administration to investigate it all.

For their part, Paul and KSI have fired back ... noting that Prime Energy is different than the Prime Hydration beverage that they initially launched back in 2022.

The hydration one, they and the company reiterated, is for everyone ... while the energy version -- which dropped earlier this year -- is "not recommended" for anyone under 18 years old.

Paul recently created a sarcastic social media video where he attempted to demonstrate the difference between the drinks and water.

"As a brand," Prime officials added in a statement earlier this week, "our top priority is consumer safety, so we welcome discussions with the FDA or any other organization regarding suggested industry changes they feel are necessary in order to protect consumers."

All versions of the Prime drinks have become wildly popular since their debuts ... as the social media stars have aggressively advertised it to their legions of fans with a ton of success.

Damar Hamlin Breaks Down In Tears Honoring Bills Staffers ... At ESPYs

Published | Updated

Incredibly powerful moment at the ESPYs just now ... when Damar Hamlin presented the Buffalo Bills staffers who saved his life back in January with the Pat Tillman Award for Service.

The 25-year-old safety took the stage and was visibly emotional as a video tribute played for the star-studded crowd in attendance ... with Hamlin detailing his commotio cordis incident against the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football.

"I didn't wake up that morning in January thinking that I would need someone to save my life that day," Hamlin said in the clip, "and I doubt the training staff thought that they would have to do what they did either."

"That, as much as anything else, is what I took away from what happened to me 6 1/2 months ago ... that any of us, at any given time, are capable of doing something as incredible as saving a life, and living a life in service of others."

After the video, the audience gave Hamlin a standing ovation as he welcomed the staffers on stage to accept the award, which is given to sports figures who served others like Tillman, who died while deployed in Afghanistan in 2004.

Hamlin shared a hug with several staffers for a bit before head trainer Nate Breske gave a touching speech.

"Damar, first and foremost, thank you for staying alive, brother," Breske said. "Seriously, we are so honored to be standing up here with such a strong and courageous human being."

Breske also stressed the importance of CPR training -- something Hamlin has campaigned for in the months following the incident.

Hamlin has since been cleared to return to football ... and he has rejoined his teammates in recent practices.

Raquel Leviss Still Negotiating with Bravo ... No Deal in Place

Published | Updated

There's still a major piece of the puzzle missing on Season 11 of "Vanderpump Rules," because we've learned Raquel Leviss is still NOT signed on.

Sources with direct knowledge of the negotiations tell TMZ ... Raquel's people are "talking" to Bravo, but the deal is not done.

There have been various media reports indicating Raquel has already signed on. Those reports are not accurate. They're still negotiating.

Our sources say there's one thing that remains paramount in any possible return to "VPR" -- Raquel's mental health.

As we reported, Raquel has been in a mental health facility since mid-April, in the wake of all the fallout and hate as a result of Scandoval.

The cast has been shooting -- sans Raquel -- over the last week or so. They were all together Tuesday night at Sur in WeHo, shooting and arguing as per usual.

We covered the "VPR" drama on a recent episode of The TMZ Podcast, available on all podcast platforms.

2023 Home Run Derby Outfielder OK After Taking Liner To Head

Published | Updated

Great news ... the child that took a Vladimir Guerrero Jr. line drive to the forehead during Monday night's Home Run Derby is now doing OK.

Sources close to the situation tell TMZ Sports ... despite how bad things looked after the youngster was rocked in the noggin by a baseball in left field at T-Mobile Park, the kid was treated immediately on-site -- and was doing so much better on Tuesday, he was actually able to attend the All-Star Game in the evening.

We're told the boy's parents were present in Seattle to comfort him following the whole ordeal.

It all initially appeared like it could have been much worse ... because after he was hit by the Guerrero Jr. shot, the kid crumpled to the ground in pain.

He was later seen with a bandage on his head -- though he was, fortunately, able to walk away from the stadium under his own power.

Thankfully, it seems he'll make a full recovery from here ... something we're sure Guerrero Jr., and all baseball fans everywhere, for that matter, are thrilled to hear.

Dan Hooker Breaks Face In Fight, Too ... In Addition To Wrist

"Anudda scratch"

That's Dan Hooker describing HIS BROKEN FACE ... another of the serious injuries he sustained during his war of a fight vs. Jalin Turner at UFC 290.

Of course, 33-year-old Hooker won the fight by split decision (both men showed amazing heart and skill) ... but didn't escape the scrap unharmed.

We knew Hangman broke his wrist ... in fact, Joe Rogan asked Dan about it in the Octagon after the fight, with Hooker now famously saying, "It's just a scratch!"

But, not the only scratch.

After getting checked by doctors, Dan was told he also suffered a facial fracture near his right cheekbone (likely from a huge head kick JT landed in the 2nd round). Hooker shared a photo of the X-ray on social media, and captioned the pic, "Anudda scratch"

Hooker, now ranked 10th in the lightweight division after the dub, will now have to rest up and heal before he takes another fight.

Talk about tough! 💪

Morgan Freeman Catches Contagious Bug ... Forced to Skip Media Tour

Published

Morgan Freeman is on the mend from a nasty infection that derailed his plans to jet across the pond to promote his latest show.

The 86-year-old actor was forced to cancel a UK trip after he came down with a fever ... according to his rep, who says doctors told Morgan he was contagious. Obviously, that meant doing a bunch of interviews was out of the question.

Morgan was scheduled to do a media tour to promote the new Taylor Sheridan show, "Special Ops: Lioness" -- Morgan costars with Zoe Saldana and Nicole Kidman -- but he was notably MIA from the interviews and Tuesday's screening.

He was also supposed to appear with his costars on the BBC program, "The One Show" -- but his absence was something host Alex Jones (not that one) said she was completely "gutted" about.

BTW, Morgan's also been struggling with fibromyalgia since 2008, after getting hurt in an almost-deadly car crash.

He donned a black compression glove on his hand at this year's Oscars ... something he often wears for comfort after ending up with permanent nerve damage from the wreck.

As for the infection ... Morgan's rep tells us the actor's doing fine now, and he's no longer contagious.

Jamie Foxx Pickleball Anyone??? ... Recovery In Full Swing

Published | Updated

Jamie Foxx's whirlwind recovery reveal is still in full swing in Chicago ... the actor was just photographed hitting the pickleball courts around town.

Check out the image posted on Instagram Tuesday night ... Jamie playing doubles with his partner against a couple of other dudes -- and they're clearly having a blast, laughing it up at the net together.

But, this is only his latest, happy moment ... Jamie's been having fun all over the Windy City lately, taking a ride on a yacht along the river, whacking golf balls at the driving range and even saving the day by returning a lost purse to a woman. He's also been spending quality time with his fam and close friends.

RETURN OF THE FOXX

Nice to see Jamie in such good spirits and looking strong after everything he's been through the last several months.

From our vantage point, it appears Jamie is well on his way to full recovery while continuing his treatment at a physical rehab facility in Chi Town. As you know, Jamie suffered a medical emergency in April, which, to this day, still remains a mystery.

We've learned there was a party for Jamie at the rehab center Monday, so all signs point to Mr. Foxx coming home.
