Carnival Cruise Line slapped a Texas mom with a lifetime ban from their fleet for taking a pack of CBD sleep aid gummies onboard ... and the reasoning is wacky.

Melinda Van Veldhuizen, a 42-year-old mom of two, claimed cruise employees and the police treated her like a crook after finding the gummies when searching her backpack at PortMiami over the summer.

She told Miami's ABC News affiliate WPLG that she was immediately taken aside after a staffer found the gummies in her bag ... and was interrogated by Carnival security and the police for 2.5 hours before getting blocked from getting on the ship.

The sale and use of hemp-derived CBD products is legal in 47 of 50 States. Florida is one of the states with restrictions ... where any product that contains more than 0.3% THC requires a medical marijuana card.

This lady and her fam planned the trip back in August to celebrate her 21st wedding anniversary and her son's senior year of high school ... and her attorney, Daren Stabinski, told WaPo the family had splashed out roughly $5,586 on their planned vacation.

What's more, after she was banned from going on the cruise, she received a letter from Carnival informing her that she was banned from all Carnival ships for life -- with Captain Rocco Lubrano writing she would "not be permitted to sail onboard any Carnival Cruise Lines vessel in the future."

8:03 AM PT -- The White House just came out and blasted Elon's support of this tweet, with a spokesperson saying ... "It is unacceptable to repeat the hideous lie behind the most fatal act of Antisemitism in American history at any time, let alone one month after the deadliest day for the Jewish people since the Holocaust."

They continue, "Like President Biden said weeks ago memorializing the victims of the Pittsburgh Synagogue shooting, the October 7 'devastating atrocity has brought to the surface painful memories left by millennia of Antisemitism.'

The spokesperson finishes by saying, "We condemn this abhorrent promotion of Antisemitic and racist hate in the strongest terms, which runs against our core values as Americans."

Elon Musk is being accused of antisemitism after he said there was "truth" in a post that suggested Jews hate white people -- and it's now snowballing into a very costly problem.

The Tesla chief has a bit of a fire going down at his Twitter/X house right now -- and it's of his own doing ... this after he responded to a tweet that floated the idea that Jewish people spew the kind of ugly racist rhetoric that's so often thrown in their direction.

The OG Twitter user was responding to a video that was calling for an end to antisemitism, writing ... "Jewish communities have been pushing the exact kind of dialectical hatred against whites that they claim to want people to stop using against them."

He added, "I'm deeply disinterested in giving the tiniest s*** now about western Jewish populations coming to the disturbing realization that those hordes of minorities that support flooding their country don't exactly like them too much."

Elon replied, "You have said the actual truth." His apparent cosign of this sentiment -- which has widely been labeled as antisemitic -- is now causing backlash against EM ... with some saying he's supporting Jew-hating propaganda here. Of course, he's pushing back on that.

In subsequent tweets/replies, Elon has tried deflecting his criticism to orgs like the ADL -- but it seems the damage might be done ... 'cause one of his biggest advertisers is bailing.

Media Matters reported Wednesday that IBM had paused ads on Musk's platform -- this after some of their content was apparently starting to show up next to tweets promoting Nazis ... something the company saw and immediately backed away from.

The fact Elon had said what he said just a day earlier was lost on no one either -- but he's suggesting this all a smear campaign, calling MM an "evil organization."

Samuel Haskell Jr. was hit with 3 counts of murder -- even though cops say they only recovered body parts of one victim --  and now we know why.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... the reason Haskell is charged with three murders is because of what witnesses told police and what cops later found at his home.

Our sources say the day laborers Samuel hired to haul away trash bags from his home are key to the case ... they told cops they grew suspicious, opened a bag, saw body parts, and brought the bags back to Haskell.

We're told there's also biological evidence found at the home where his wife and in-laws lived before going missing. Our law enforcement sources tell us the biological evidence is from 3 different people. We do not know the nature of the biological evidence, but we do know police found blood at the house.

TMZ broke the story ... Haskell is on video dumping what appears to be a heavy black bag into a dumpster near his home, the day before someone discovered a dismembered body inside a bag from the same dumpster.

TMZ also got footage of the day laborers hauling 3 trash bags from his home, driving off, before ultimately returning the bags to his driveway. The workers then went to police and Haskell drove his Tesla to a nearby strip mall and dumped a bag in the dumpster.

The body found in the dumpster has not been identified ... but we're told it's a woman. Haskell is charged with murdering his 37-year-old wife, Mei, and her parents, 72-year-old Gaoshan Li and 64-year-old Yanxiang Wang.

Our sources say it will be nearly impossible for law enforcement to recover the other bodies ... especially if they were chopped up and dumped in the trash.

The issue ... we're told once the trash is emptied and taken to a landfill, it gets dumped and buried very quickly ... making it very difficult to identify remains.

In fact, we're told there's a good chance none of the bodies would have ever been recovered if not for the homeless person who discovered the bag filled with body parts.

Steve Kerr made it clear he's pissed at Draymond Green for choking Rudy Gobert earlier this week ... calling the Golden State star's actions "inexcusable."

The Warriors head coach didn't hold back when talking about Green's role in Tuesday night's on-court fight just before the Dubs' game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday ... explaining to reporters he didn't find Green's actions appropriate.

"He took it too far," Kerr said. "Draymond was wrong. He knows that. It's a bad look."

Kerr added that the five-game ban that Draymond received for putting his arms around Gobert's neck and refusing to let go during the Dubs' loss to the Timberwolves was "deserved."

"It was a terrible visual for the league," Kerr said, "for Draymond and for everybody."

Initially, Kerr seemed to have Green's back following the brawl ... saying Tuesday night he thought his player did what was needed to protect Klay Thompson. In some ways, Kerr stood by that stance a bit on Thursday, telling media members he "had no problem" with Green getting Gobert off Thompson ... but "he's got to let go."

"He hung on for like six, seven seconds," Kerr said.

Without Green on Thursday night, the Warriors got blown out by the Thunder, 128-109.

A Formula One car turned into a flamethrower during a practice run in Las Vegas Thursday night, spitting out a stream of fire that was caught on dramatic video ... forcing officials to cancel the rest of the session.

Check out the footage, obtained by TMZ Sports ... several F1 cars, including a Ferrari, are zooming around the track built along the Vegas Strip for Saturday's celebrity-studded Formula One Grand Prix. Journey, J Balvin, John Legend, Keith Urban and Steve Aoki are all set to perform at the three-day event.

In the 19-second clip ... Carlos Sainz's Ferrari roars down the track past The Cromwell Hotel and, suddenly a burst of flames shoots out from the back of the race car before it disappears from our view. One stunned onlooker reacts by yelling, "Wooooooo!"

It was later revealed the incident was caused when Sainz drove over a loose drain cover, causing serious damage to his car.

Ferrari was forced to replace Sainz's chassis, engine and battery ... which sparked a 10-place grid penalty for the race.

Thankfully, no one was injured ... and the police and fire departments did not have to respond to the scene.

Sainz sounded off on the track conditions in a social media post Friday morning ... saying, "Eventful and long day. We seem competitive and I’m looking forward to tomorrow.

"However, the situation of the manhole damage and the 10-place penalty is not acceptable, but we’ll deal with it."

Chrisean Rock says don't believe everything you read about her -- she tells TMZ Hip Hop she's thriving in motherhood, her son with Blueface is doing much better and the little guy even has some celebratory bling!!!

We caught up with Chrisean and Chrisean Jr. Thursday at LAX, and the embattled reality star tells us she's been getting a lot of love from supporters, and earning lots of money these past few months.

She has a pretty flashy receipt to illustrate that point -- her baby boy's diamond-encrusted pacifier, which she reportedly dropped $40K to get.

Chrisean says she wanted to celebrate 3 months of motherhood, and added, "I fell in love with my son so bad, I can't help it."

Much fuss was made about Chrisean's untapped parenting skills when the baby was born ... Blueface accused her of neglecting Jr.'s need for hernia surgery, and she was also recorded nearly dangling the child inside a Walmart.

Chrisean didn't seem to have any issues handling her son while speaking with us and said his hernia surgery was successful.

Motherhood aside, Chrisean is, in fact, now a hitmaking artist -- her collab with Lil Mabu, "Mr. Take Ya B*tch," debuted on the Billboard Hot 100. Ok, it was only at No. 96, but hey, it's a start.

"Hannah Montana" star Mitchel Musso's public drunkenness and theft case has been dropped ... TMZ has learned -- a reversal of fortune that comes just a couple of months after his arrest.

A rep for the city of Rockwall, TX tells TMZ ... Mitchel's case was dismissed, although no reason was given -- we're just told any body cam footage, and further info won't be released because the case did not result in a conviction or deferred adjudication.

TMZ broke the story, Mitchel was cuffed back in August after Rockwall PD responded to a call at a hotel where people were claiming the actor was acting belligerently and had stolen something from the food market.

We were told hotel staff demanded he pay for the product, but he allegedly became verbally abusive ... and when cops found him outside the hotel, they determined he was under the influence.

In addition, officers said they found outstanding traffic warrants in his name and ultimately decided to arrest him.

He was booked on a few different charges ... public intoxication, theft (under $100), expired registration, failure to display a driver's license, and violating a promise to appear notice ... but now we're told the whole case was dropped.

Much of Clips Nation is panicking over the team's disastrous start with James Harden, but not the team's most loyal fan, Clipper Darrell, who tells us he has complete confidence that the squad will not only turn things around but will also be a top seed in the Western Conference!

And, they could even compete for an NBA title.

Yes, Darrell Bailey is doubling down on the Clippers ... despite them being winless at 0-5 since acquiring the former NBA MVP from the Philadelphia 76ers about 2 and a half weeks ago.

"Anytime a new person comes in, especially of James Harden's caliber, it's gonna take time," Clipper Darrell explained, before making it clear he still has faith in Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Russell Westbrook and the rest of the roster's ability to mesh with The Beard.

"I still believe in this team. I know we're having a hard time right now, but this team is definitely going to prosper."

Not everyone feels the same way ... Darrell admits much of the fan base is, let's call it, highly concerned.

"Oh no, they're freakin' out, they're freakin' out! They're goin' crazy! 'I told you, I didn't want him!' But hey, ya gotta believe. It's early in the season. Now if this was March, Babcock. Come on! I'd be pulling my hair out."

The good news for the 3-7 L.A. ... the NBA season is still young. We asked Darrell to look in his crystal ball and predict where the team stands after the full 82 games.

"Second seed," CD said, continuing ... "We definitely gonna be a top 3 team, but I'm looking at second seed. I want first, but I ain't gonna be greedy."

3:10 PM PT -- Dana Carvey says Dex Carvey died of an accidental overdose. He and his wife Paula just posted a note remembering their son's talent and passion for life, and says "We will miss him forever."

They add, "To anyone struggling with addiction or who loves someone struggling with addiction, you are in our hearts and prayers."

Dana Carvey's eldest son, Dex Carvey, has died ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell us Dex passed away Wednesday night after first responders rushed over to a home that his girlfriend had called from in Los Angeles around 10 PM. We're told Dex was locked in a bathroom, and that he was unresponsive upon discovery.

Our sources say paramedics tried reviving him, but to no avail ... he was pronounced dead on the scene. An autopsy has been done, but Dex's cause of death hasn't been determined ... pending toxicology tests.

Dana and Dex were very close ... in fact, Dex was following in his father's footsteps when it came to comedy -- as he was diving into the stand-up world over the past few years.

Dex actually opened for his father in his 2016 Netflix special, 'Straight White Male' ... during which Dex did a 6-minute set that got some laughs as he worked on material -- touching on a number of topics ... including pride parades, cult stories and his famous dad.

Dana's other son, Thomas, is also an aspiring comedian ... and the former 'SNL' star has spoken fondly of his boys and wanting to help their careers. Dex was only 32.

Disneyland is dealing with another tragedy ... a park guest jumped from a parking structure in what appears to be part of a recent and alarming trend.

Police in Anaheim say a 24-year-old man jumped to his death from the Pixar Pals parking structure Wednesday night at Disneyland resort.

It's the third time in less than a year someone has killed themselves by jumping from one of the parking structures within the amusement park.

Cops say they responded to a call around 9:30 PM of someone jumping from the Pixar Pals parking garage. They say the victim, later identified as Jonah Alexander Edwards, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Anaheim Police say they are investigating the death as a suicide.

Overall, there have been 6 suicides at the park's parking garage complex since 2010, and since December 2022 there have been 3 such incidents -- so, it's a disturbing increase.

The Disneyland parking garages, Pixar Pals and Mickey & Friends, are six-level structures ... and it's where thousands of guests enter and exit the theme park.

The CDC says about 2% of the 47,000 average annual suicides in the United States involve people jumping or falling to their deaths.

Diddy has been accused of rape and a plethora of other crimes by his ex-girlfriend, Cassie, in a bombshell lawsuit that details the disturbing claims.

The singer named the Bad Boy honcho in a federal suit she filed Thursday in New York -- in which she makes a number of allegations against Diddy ... including claims of human trafficking -- and a shocking claim that he broke into her home in 2018 and forced sex on her.

The alleged rape, Cassie says, came toward the end of their relationship in 2018 ... when she'd decided to leave Diddy for good. In her suit, she says they went to dinner one night that year, which Cassie thought would be a discussion on how they could each move on.

Afterward, she says they went to her place ... but claims Diddy forced himself into her apartment, despite Cassie's protests. Cassie claims Diddy then forcibly kissed her and began ripping off her clothes ... at which point she alleges he raped her, all while she said "no."

In the aftermath of this alleged incident, Cassie says she tried separating herself completely from Diddy ... moving away, and cutting all ties with Bad Boy -- while under a lot of stress.

While this claim is, for sure, the most shocking ... it's just the tip of the iceberg of what else is alleged in her lawsuit -- including years of what Cassie claims were physical and emotional abuse at the hands of Diddy, such as beatings and stompings she alleges he dished out regularly over the course of their long relationship -- which Cassie says started in '05.

Through their time together, Cassie claims Diddy would regularly ply her with drugs and alcohol, make her carry firearms around in her purse while out in public ... and worse yet, she alleges he forced her to have sex with several different male prostitutes over the years, across multiple different jurisdictions.

Cassie claims Diddy would film these coordinated liaisons with her and the prostitutes (whom she claims were hired by Diddy) ... and pleasure himself while watching the intercourse.

One other stunner of a claim here ... Cassie alleges that Diddy once said he was going to blow up Kid Cudi's car while he was home -- this after learning of a brief relationship he and Cassie shared around 2011 or so -- and goes on to claim that in 2012 ... Kid Cudi's car did, in fact, blow up in his driveway. She doesn't say, explicitly, that Diddy orchestrated it ... but she does say that the fact it happened like he threatened terrified her and made her fear for her safety.

It goes without saying ... these accusations are absolutely jaw-dropping, but Cassie is insistent they happened -- saying, "After years in silence and darkness, I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships." Cassie claims to have suffered greatly from what she allegedly endured with Diddy ... and says she still deals with repercussions today.

Diddy, meanwhile, has come out with a staunch defense ... calling Cassie's claims a straight-up financial shakedown through his attorney, "Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations. For the past 6 months, Mr. Combs, has been subjected to Ms. Ventura's persistent demand of $30 million, under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail. Despite withdrawing her initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit riddled with baseless and outrageous lies, aiming to tarnish Mr. Combs' reputation and seeking a pay day."

3:45 PM PT -- TMZ obtained the mugshot for suspected killer Loay Abdelfattah Alnaji.

In the booking photo, Alnaji appears to be holding back a smile.

Cops have a man in custody for the death of Paul Kessler ... the Jewish man who was killed at a pro-Palestinian rally in California earlier this month.

50-year-old Loay Abdelfattah Alnaji was arrested Thursday for allegedly killing the 69-year-old man. He's been booked for involuntary manslaughter and is being held at the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility.

Alnaji's bail is set at $1 million, and officials are still asking citizens to come forward with any information surrounding the fatal incident.

As we reported, Kessler was at a pro-Israel rally on November 5, and a pro-Palestinian rally was going on at the same time nearby -- all stemming from the war between Israel and Hamas.

Law enforcement told us Kessler got into a heated argument with the Palestinian supporters, leading to a physical fight -- and was eventually knocked backward, causing him to fall and hit his head on the ground.

Keke Palmer is getting far away from the drama back home with her allegedly abusive baby daddy ... taking their young son with her on a trip to France, and glowing in some drizzle.

The actress popped up in Paris with her nearly 9-month-old, Leo, Thursday ... taking in the sights and doing the whole tourist thing -- and we gotta say, she looks super happy holding her little one ... especially considering everything she's going through back in the States.

Keke and her kiddo didn't let a rainy day ruin their trip whatsoever ... venturing out to the Eiffel Tower and the Quai Branly Museum ... with an assistant holding an umbrella for her as she held her child in her arms.

The helpers certainly came in handy -- they seemed to be able to keep Keke and young Leo nice and dry ... and Mama Bear definitely appreciated it, if her smile is any indication.

Like we said ... the European getaway comes in the middle of some big drama between Keke, her ex-boyfriend Darius Jackson and their families.

As we've reported ... Keke recently accused Darius of abusing her on and off for well over a year, including an alleged incident she says happened earlier this month, and she's shared images appearing to show the alleged abuse.

One image appears to show Darius with his hands on Keke while she's on a couch -- and another still seems to show them getting physical on the stairs.

For his part, Darius is denying the claims ... and he's accusing Keke's mom of threatening to put a bullet in his head. We've heard from sources that Keke's mother only said that because she was in fear for her daughter's safety.

In other words, there's a lot waiting for Keke back home ... including an upcoming court hearing on her temporary restraining order ... but it all seems out of sight and out of mind while she's in Paris.

The tee clearly doesn't fall far from the green in the Woods family ... 'cause Tiger's son, Charlie, just helped his high school win a golf championship!!

The 14-year-old freshman competed alongside four others for The Benjamin School's boys team at Florida's FHSAA Class A state championship this week ... and with his two scores of 78 and 76, he helped his squad raise the coveted trophy on Wednesday afternoon.

Charlie finished fourth out of five on his team ... and tied for 26th overall in the tournament. Dad was at the scene for the entirety of the week -- cheering on his boy throughout the competition.

In addition to snagging a title medal, Charlie also had one of the best highlights of the week ... sinking a long chip that elicited a very Tiger-like fist pump from the teenager.

Charlie now has some bragging rights over his Pops ... as Tiger never won a state championship when he was growing up.

Jada Pinkett Smith is doubling down on denying Will Smith hooked up with Duane Martin -- but going a bit further now ... saying there hasn't been a whiff of this with any dude.

The actress put her foot down yet again on the gossip in NYC on Wednesday -- not long after she told us she and her hubby planned on suing. In response to being asked if the Will and Duane chatter was baloney ... she simply said, "Absolutely" ... reiterating her initial denial.

However, when the photog here asks a follow-up -- namely, whether she's seen Will with any man (obviously meaning in a sexual nature) ... JPS emphatically shoots that down as well.

Check out what she has to say ... sounds like she's never seen anything like that with her own two eyes -- and you can tell she means it by the repetition here.

Of course, her being firm echoes what she told us Wednesday as well ... namely, that the Smiths would be taking legal action against Brother Bilaal -- and possibly others -- for floating the unsubstantiated story that explicitly mentioned gay sex.

BTW, Jada elaborated on all this on "The Breakfast Club" Wednesday -- further pointing to the possibility of this landing in court as her family's next step.

You'll recall, Brother Bilaal -- a man who says he's Will's former assistant/friend -- said earlier this week he once walked in on Will bent over a couch in Duane's dressing room, with the 2 having anal sex.

A rep for Will told us, "This story is completely fabricated and the claim is unequivocally false" ... and sources told us Duane had no plans to publicly respond to Bilaal's claim -- 'cause the allegations are so ridiculous.
