There has been a slew of tributes to the great Tina Turner in the last few days, but one that really landed was from the man who wrote the song that put the legend front and center for the world to see.

John Fogerty, the frontman for Creedence Clearwater Revival who penned and sang "Proud Mary" -- a big hit for the group in 1969 and a year later a monster hit for Tina -- paid homage to her at a concert in Manchester, England ... and the audience went crazy.

Fogerty and his son, who is on tour with him, sang "Proud Mary" to a packed venue.

As you know, the Creedence version was powerful and steady, while Tina's version was gripping and wild. It's one of her biggest hits and conventional wisdom is that it's the best performative song in Tina's enormous string of iconic hits.

It's pretty amazing ... when Tina was in her 50s, the backup singers/dancers 3 decades younger sometimes had trouble keeping up with her! She was incredible.

A former "Family Feud" contestant charged with murdering his estranged wife has to deal with a compelling text ... from the woman he's accused of killing.

Timothy Bliefnick, who's accused of breaking into the home of Becky Bliefnick and shooting her dead, is the man Becky believed would kill her.

The Illinois nurse who was murdered back in February texted her sister with this ominous prediction ... "If something ever happens to me, make sure the No. 1 person of interest is Tim."

She went on ... "I am putting this in writing that I’m fearful he will somehow harm me, come after me, or will try to [do] something to me that takes me away from the kids or the kids away from me, He already has lied multiple times to paint himself as a victim and me as the perpetrator when it is absolutely the other way around."

The text messages were introduced in Timothy's murder trial.

Timothy and Becky were knee-deep in a divorce war ... fighting over custody of their 3 kids.

Timothy's defense is that someone was stalking his estranged wife and that person is the culprit.

Lady Gaga made a surprise appearance at an L.A. bar recently, looking ever the stunning starlet she is and putting on a performance for the patrons.

Check out the video, obtained by TMZ, which shows Gaga sporting a chic dress, stylish black coat and 10-inch platform heels while hanging out with friends at a table at Laurel Tavern in Studio City.

We're told the iconic singer/actress seemed happy and relaxed as she chilled with her group of gals, chatting and yukking it up with them.

Our sources say Gaga's security team was stationed around the saloon, keeping a close eye on her ... sure nobody bothered her.

After a few hours, Gaga decided it was time to exit so she got up from the table and started hugging her girls while saying goodbye for the night.

That's when she also got into full Gaga mode and started dancing to a song playing over the bar's speakers.

In the clip, Gaga does a few moves for the crowd, who cheer her on, shouting, "Get it, girl" and "We love you, Gaga."

A mysterious adoption more than a decade ago is getting the spotlight thanks to an upcoming docuseries ... about a Ukrainian girl who allegedly tried blending in as a small child and attempted to murder her new family.

Attorney Beth Karas joined us on "TMZ Live," giving us the scoop ahead of the first episode of ID's "The Curious Case of Natalia Grace" ... which follows an American fam that adopted Natalia back in 2010, only to discover she was MUCH older. A few years in the parents believed she wasn't 8 years old ... they were sure she was around 22.

Beth says Natalia repeatedly threatened her new family with knives and even tried poisoning them.

Natalia's child persona had folks split on whether she was a kiddo or fully grown -- she would interact with young children as if she were a peer but also displayed an adult side.

Her tale has often been compared to the horror flick "Orphan" ... which came out the year before Natalia's adoption and is based on a horrifyingly-similar story.

The American rock band Plain White T's first surfaced on the music scene back in 1997 and continues to captivate their fans to this day. Their 2006 hit song "Hey There Delilah" put the stamp on their fame and success, earning one Grammy nod and peaking #1 on the charts.

Originally forming in '97 with high school pals Tom Higgenson, Dave Tirio and Ken Fletcher ... Steve Mast would join the group soon after. Their songs "1,2,3,4" and "Rhythm of Love" are also some fan favorites.

Takeoff's alleged killer, Patrick Xavier Clark, has just been formally charged with murder in the Migos rapper's shooting death

A Texas grand jury indicted Clark on murder charges Thursday ... the Harris County District Attorney's Office told KHOU.

As you know ... Takeoff was shot and killed back in November outside a Houston bowling alley, where he was partying with Quavo. What started out as a celebration turned into an argument, which led to a physical altercation and ultimately a fatal shooting.

Houston PD arrested Clark in December, accusing him of firing the fatal shots.

Remember ... the coroner's report said Takeoff was shot in the head and the torso. Police say Takeoff was not armed and he was an innocent bystander when he was hit by gunfire.

As we reported ... Clark was released from the Harris County Jail in early January after posting $1 million bond.

TMZ broke the story ... Clark has already asked a judge for $5,000 to hire a private investigator to properly prepare his defense, claiming he's financially unable to cover the costs of hiring a P.I. on his own.

Dean Cain has finally unloaded his super Malibu home ... and while the sale went below his OG asking price, it's still gonna net Cain millions.

Real estate sources tell TMZ Dean's pad sold Wednesday for $6.25M, going for $1 mil under his original asking price. We're told $7.25M was a bit of an overreach, but everything worked out and Dean is stoked with the deal.

TMZ broke the story, the "Superman" star listed the beautiful property in March -- and the 4-bed, 5-bath home has an incredible pool, waterfall spa, and a lush garden full of fruit plants.

The place also had a pretty fun sea creature-themed bedroom with a window that has ocean views ... which, by the way, are absolutely breathtaking.

Austin Butler and Kaia Gerber are all the rage on the internet right now ... because there's a huge buzz about a potential engagement.

There's tons of speculation online that the "Elvis" star may have popped the question to his model girlfriend ... and it's a pretty juicy rumor, which may have some legs.

Austin and Kaia getting engaged isn't all that far-fetched ... they've been dating since December 2021 and he was recently spotted helping her move into a new home. It's unclear if Austin and Kaia are living there together, but they seem to be inseparable.

The rumors reached a head Thursday when Deuxmoi claimed Austin proposed to Kaia in April and they've been keeping their engagement under wraps.

Before going public with their relationship at the 2022 Met Gala in New York City, Austin and Kaia reportedly jetted off to Paris for Valentine's Day. They kissed for cameras at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival and she was by his side in January when he won a Golden Globe award for his performance in "Elvis."

As we reported ... after Austin's big movie went 0 for 8 at the Oscars, he flew down to Los Cabos to lounge poolside with Kaia.

The jet-setting lovebirds went to the Time100 Gala last month in the Big Apple, but they haven't been photographed in public since April 27, which adds more intrigue.

Tina Turner's undeniable impact on music, and beyond, is being felt all over the world ... with some of the biggest artists paying homage to the legendary singer -- some of them live onstage.

Lizzo stopped to give Tina her flowers, following her death ... getting emotional during a concert, as she performed "Proud Mary."

She told her fans "I would not exist without Tina Turner ... there would be no rock 'n' roll."

Coldplay also took time to pay respects during their show in Barcelona, saying ... "Thank you to Tina for being sweet, not just to us but to the whole world and making us so entertained." They also performed a version of "Proud Mary."

Meanwhile, Janet Jackson's concert featured a sing-along to Tina's hit, "What's Love Got to Do With It."

And, celebs didn't just honor the singer onstage.

Beyoncé, who is in the midst of her massive "Renaissance" tour, posted a note on her site, thanking the singer for paving the way.

Her mother, Tina Knowles, also shared the impact TT had on her daughter's life and career.

Mariah Carey and Mick Jagger shared similar sentiments ... calling Tina a huge inspiration for all.

And fans all over have been showing love and streaming her music like crazy, with her tunes seeing massive spikes, just hours after her death.

As we reported, Tina's team announced the 'Queen of Rock 'n' Roll' died Wednesday at the age of 83.

Congressman Adam Schiff tries his hand at live stand-up comedy once a year ... but he sees nothing funny about how CNN set up Donald Trump's town hall for a national audience.

The distinguished gentleman from Burbank, CA joined us Thursday on "TMZ Live" and we asked him about his upcoming comedy set at The Improv in L.A.

Schiff, who's running for U.S. Senate, is hosting a fundraiser next month at the famous West Hollywood venue -- and while he'll mostly be introducing professional comics, he says he likes to mix in a few jokes of his own.

As Adam explains, he's performed full stand-up acts at his annual fundraiser in the past -- usually writing his own jokes during the cross-country flight -- and he let us in on some of his favorite material.

All jokes aside, Adam's not only eyeing the Senate seat currently occupied by Sen. Dianne Feinstein ... he's also paying attention to Trump's presidential campaign.

Rep. Schiff ripped CNN for this month's town hall with the former President -- although, he doesn't take issue with CNN holding the event, he strongly objects to one thing about the spectacle ... comparing it to a reality TV show.

Britney Spears' mom flew to L.A. Wednesday to see her daughter ... and Britney was receptive enough to let her inside her home and spend some time catching up.

Lynne Spears arrived at LAX in the morning and was driven to the home of Britney's manager, Cade Hudson. She then took an Uber to Britney's home.

We're told Britney didn't know exactly when Lynne was coming, but she knew her mom was in town to see her.

When Lynne arrived at Britney's home, the singer let her inside and the 2 spent around 30 minutes chatting. We're told Sam was also present.

Our sources say the ice between mother and daughter is thawing ... they've been texting recently and Lynne knew the path was clear enough to make the trek from Louisiana to L.A.

As you know, Britney was on a tear at the end of the conservatorship and afterward, saying her mom and the rest of her family betrayed her. This is a pretty clear sign there's a chance of reconciliation.

After Lynne left, Britney and Sam got in her car, drove around for a bit and then returned home.

Kim Kardashian is clearly seein' red, at times, when it comes to her ex-husband Kanye West ... ripping into him for publicly talking about her sex tape, and cooking up rumors she was hooking up with Drake behind his back.

KK went off about Ye during the season 3 premiere of "The Kardashians," telling Kris Jenner how "exhausted" she's been with her ex-hubby's behavior ... saying he spread the rumor she was having an extramarital affair with Drake -- with whom Kanye's had beef.

Remember, Kanye put Kim, their family and friends through hell for weeks on social media. Not only did he attack Pete Davidson, but he also took racist shots at Trevor Noah -- eventually getting him suspended from Instagram.

At the time, it seemed like Kanye found a new victim almost daily, but Kim remained his most sought-after target. Something that understandably was weighing on the mother of 4. He also posted videos accusing Kim of keeping the kids from him -- something that just wasn't true.

As Kim sees it ... Ye, who once bragged he's her ultimate protector, is doing the opposite these days, which she says includes uncomfortably bringing up her sex tape with Ray J all those years ago.

Kim goes on to say his "insane" narratives are a common occurrence, but believes all the stuff he's been spewing will mess up their kids more than her tape ever could. She even says Ye wants to approve what she says about him on the show ... which, obviously, didn't go his way.

As we reported, Kim and Ye called it quits in 2021 and finalized their divorce the following year. Since the split, we've seen him call out his ex-wife quite a bit over co-parenting -- especially when she was at the heat of her relationship with Pete Davidson.

Back in December, Kim said she tries her best to keep the parental drama away from her 4 kids' eyes ... jumping to great lengths to keep the noise to a minimum around them.

Nike might not be distancing itself from Ja Morant over his recent gun-flashing incident after all -- the shoe giant just released his latest signature sneaker on Thursday ... and it sold out in minutes.

The scheduled Ja 1 "Hunger" colorway drop was seemingly up in the air after Nike erased all his shoes off its site last week ... which led to speculation about whether the brand was potentially going to suspend the sale -- or even its relationship with the All-Star guard altogether -- due to his off-court issues.

Luckily for sneakerheads, the kicks still dropped on Nike's SNKRS app ... and quick-acting fans were able to purchase them for $110 before they sold out, as reports claim there was an incredibly small supply.

Despite all the controversy, the shoes were clearly a hot commodity ... with a ton of people going to Twitter to express their frustrations over missing out on the drop.

In fact, one fan tweeted a photo claiming their size was sold out within three seconds of launching on the app.

Of course, hopeful buyers can always go to reseller sites like GOAT and StockX ... but they'll end up paying a bit more than the retail price. Right now, the shoes are selling for around $200.

Nike has been radio silent following Ja's second video ... which is a stark contrast from the Swoosh's statement in support of its athlete following his initial incident in March.

Ja signed a multi-year deal with Nike in 2019 ... and was introduced as its first Gen Z signature athlete.

Tina's songs and albums have all seen crazy spikes in listens and downloads, Amazon's Movers & Shakers Singles Chart is full of Tina's work. At the time of this post -- "What's Love Got to Do with It" has seen a 230,575% boost in sales, "Private Dancer" is up 280,327%, "We Don't Need Another Hero" up 210,909%, and "The Best" is up 62,425%.

As for the albums on Amazon, her "Tina (Live)" is up 297,322%, "Private Dancer" is up 273,528%, and "Break Every Rule" is up 140,825%.

Tina's also having a big surge on iTunes -- with "What's Love Got to Do with It," "Proud Mary," and "Better Be Good to Me" as just some of the singles pushing their way to the top.

It's also been reported her song "What's Love Got To Do With It" is making a push on Spotify.

As we reported, Tina's team announced the legendary singer and 'Queen of Rock 'n' Roll' died Wednesday at the age of 83.

In a statement, they said, "It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tina Turner. With her music and her boundless passion for life, she enchanted millions of fans around the world and inspired the stars of tomorrow."

The "Vanderpump Rules" reunion wound up as expected for Tom Sandoval ... he was turned into a human piñata by fellow cast members angry over his affair with Raquel Leviss, which, as everyone knows, destroyed his longtime relationship with Ariana Madix.

Part 1 of Season 10's reunion kicked off Wednesday night as Bravo host Andy Cohen sat down to hash it all out with the entire cast of 'VPR' -- Tom, Ariana, Lisa Vanderpump, Lala Kent, Scheana Shay, James Kennedy, Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz.

Interestingly, Raquel was squirreled away in a private room watching from a TV monitor because, at the time the reunion was shot, she had a restraining order against Scheana, who allegedly punched her during an argument. The order has since been dismissed.

With the cast seated around Andy, the insults began flying almost immediately ... and as usual, Tom was the primary target, but Lisa was clearly in his corner.

In one back and forth, Ariana voiced her disgust at Tom for cheating on her, saying, "I think he caused the divide in the relationship because he was f***ing other people.”

Lisa stopped Ariana and asked, "Other people is very different [than just] Raquel."

Ariana replied, "He’s f***ed more than Raquel.”

Then Lala jumped in, calling Tom "a dangerous human being." But Lisa again ran to Tom's defense, dismissing Lala's statement as "ridiculous." Lala responded, "I didn’t ask for anyone else’s opinion."

James had several fiery exchanges with Tom, labeling him a "clown" and mocking him as he cried while apologizing to Ariana. At one point, James, who was once engaged to Raquel, left his seat and got up in Tom's face, leading to both men almost coming to blows.

After Andy calmed the situation down, he asked Tom the most pivotal question of the night: Why didn’t Tom come clean to Ariana about his affair with Raquel from the get-go?

Tom said, "I was obviously scared to. Also she was going through a lot during that time, and I didn’t want to add anything," referring to the death of Ariana's grandmother.

The rest of the show was more of the same ... meaning Tom playing the piñata and his detractors hitting him with sticks, but in a verbal -- not physical -- sense, of course.

Round 2 of the 3 part reunion will kick off next Wednesday at 9 PM ET. Bring the popcorn.
